I can’t understand why there were so many employees just milling around or talking to friends when the floors and trash was every place in this store.

I was treated very rudely by a female employee (she has a few teeth missing). She was blocking the aisle with boxes. I said, excuse me and she gave the box a big kick. That was it. No sorry or nothing. Needless to say I have taken my business elsewhere. namely Walmart.

I’ll start out with the good. The people working here are friendly and helpful.
Other than that Winn Dixie comes in well behind Rouses.
Winn Dixie IS to some extent cheaper, but the quality of offering here are not on par with Rouses, in my opinion. Rouses generally has better produce and more access to local options and organic options.
Before you get all up in arms hear me out… food, water, and shelter are the basics in this life so if you are going to go to spend a little more for quality, directing a little extra cash into those realms is probably a good choice. So don’t give me the cheaper makes WD trump Rouses argument.
The checkout lines here can be slow sometimes, so I’ll make my way over to the self-​checkout lines, although it gives me anxiety because these machines are so utterly f*cking obnoxious. In all seriousness, turn down the freaking volume on these things, Winn Dixie! The entire store does not need to know that I just spent $ 4.99 on a box of tampons and $ 1.99 on a giant chocolate bar. Like being honked at when you don’t go through a light .1 seconds after the light turns green, I do not need to be berated when I don’t put my item in the bag one freaking millisecond after I scan it. Also, yes I did put the damn chicken in the bag, on the little platform, so actually the weight IS correct. I don’t need to be badgered by a machine for everyone in the store to know how much I’m spending and also that I’m on the short bus when it comes to utilizing self-​checkout machines. Every time we end up going here my boyfriend and I laugh about this matter.

Friendly staff and great selection.

The employees here are awesome! Just letting everyone know that. BUT… always a big buttttt. :) The night shift is compiled of a bunch of teenagers, so they are not so awesome. All in all, this location has just about every little condiment you chef heart can desire. The beef department is great. The beef man, as I have aptly named him, will actually walk out and show you what is what is the meat world. The deli people don’t look like they want to kill you if you ask for extra, extra thin slices. Theses people actually work with a smile. A real Smile! Amazing, no? I think so. I’d prefer to pay extra and receive great customer service than go to Wally World and risk getting shot for asking a question!
