When a friend wanted a banana split and suggested Bruster’s, I couldn’t resist getting my own scoop since I’m ice cream obsessed. Bruster’s ice cream had been an old love of mine, but nowadays I’m crazy about spots like Jeni’s, Morelli’s, and Queen of Cream. Time to go back to a classic. This location in Kennesaw has a drive-thru, so we did that but I’m not sure it was faster than walking up to the window. Maybe they were short staffed that particular visit? At any rate, the young woman helping us was pretty nice though she didn’t take our order immediately after pulling up to the speaker. I’m a certified chocoholic so I focused on getting a chocolate flavor and ended up with a single scoop in a cup of Chocolate Mudslide($ 3.49). This scrumptious flavor sports a dark chocolate base with mix-ins of brownies, Oreo crumbles, and swirls of marshmallows. Yum! Excellent rich chocolate ice cream, and the additions give some texture and extra tastiness. Perhaps not as pretty as the picture on the Bruster’s website, but it all goes into your mouth anyway. Bruster’s has a healthy number of rotating flavors so you’re highly likely to find a flavor that suits your needs at the moment. I myself used to be fanatical about Black Raspberry back in the day. Ah, memories.
