Bagels were flavorless and, like another reviewer said, gummy. We just moved to the area and were hoping to find a great bagel store — looks like we will need to make the trek to Country Bagel in West Chester, instead. We definitely won’t be returning here.

The bagels here are excellent and the owners are very friendly. I have been here several times including putting in big order for my office. I had several people tell me that the bagels were excellent and asked me for the name of the place. They are better than Panera, Einstein and Manhattan bagel. I will be back for more

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. The bagels were disgusting! I found a hair in my food and when i told them, they said it was mine and would not refund my money… Never Again! Beware. The worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! Learn how to run a business!!! Pathetic! :((((((

Well the Unilocaler’s got it right again. Three stars for The bagels and breakfast sandwiches, but the lady behind the counter(manager) really needs a course in customer service. She clearly didn’t want to be there and made us feel like she didn’t want us there either. I was very disappointed and don’t think I’ll be back.

Such good bagels and such a nice family run business. I love when the young lady is at the register, she is the sweetest little thing and has such wonderful manners. It truly makes it a joy to stop in! Love their salt bagels and that they have Boar’s Head deli meats! Great place!

This place was the closest to our hotel and we wanted a quick bagel. Should have gone to Giant across the way. Female owner had an attitude and responded nastily when we asked questions about the menu. Not a friendly person at all. In addition bagels were gummy. When asked for salt and pepper they only had pepper packets and the salt was in a small container which had to be spooned into the egg white. How about purchasing salt packets or at least a shaker! A better attitude would have forgiven everything but it wasn’t happening! Why do people own businesses when they can’t even offer a friendly environment!

Good bagels do not exist in the DE/South Eastern PA area. I thought the only way I would get to enjoy a real bagel was by making the occasional trek to Brooklyn. That was until I found Palm-a-Bagel! The bagels are incredible, just what you’d expect of a real-deal, New York style bagel. I highly recommend this place, they will not let you down!

Probably one of the best bagel joints I’ve been to in a long time. I had an everything bagel toasted with egg whites, sausage and cheese. So darn good! The bagel was fresh and so scrumptious. And the lady that works there was super nice and friendly. I definitely recommend this place!

Hands down the best everything bagel w/cream cheese I’ve ever had and if you catch the owner she is so nice, wish there was one in oxford.

Absolutely hands down the BEST bagel place in western suburbs. Fresh daily, made from scratch on site(warm if you get there early). I have been a loyal customer since the store opened. Great service and value. Nothing in our area compares. Wonderful owner operated business.

My children and I were in town for an overnight at a local hotel… we were arriving late morning and they wanted a snack — specifically asking for a bagel! I didn’t know how GREAT the bagels would be when I ran into their store! The Owner was actually willing to help me even though they were closed and she was sitting outside enjoying the weather with her family! I was invited in and knowing they wouldn’t have much to offer… she proceeds to say that all they had were plain and blueberry… which were the two requests from my boys! She gave me a tiny education on bagels while wrapping them up and my only regret is that I don’t live around the corner to visit with this very nice person on a regular basis! Thanks for a GREAT bagels, conversation and a place to look forward to when I’m back in the area! Michele from Richmond VA

I know I don’t live in NYC, but when I scurry home with my bag of a dozen Palmas and some spreads, I can pretend that I do. This is as real as it gets anywhere in the Philly suburbs, and every time I walk out of this place, I always mumble to myself, «Thank GOD these people are here!»

Palm-A-Bagel has a great variety of different bagel types. I love their egg, salt, and everything bagels. They also make some tasty breakfast sandwiches, I have both sausage, egg and cheese and also bacon egg and cheese. Both were great. On top of the great bagels you HAVE to try the crumb cake!!! This homemade cake is among some of the best I have ever had!

I have been a patron of Palm-A-Bagel for four years. The bagels simply tremendous, and the best I’ve found easily anywhere in a 50 mile radius of Philadelphia. They are ALWAYS fresh. My favorites are the Egg, Onion, Whole Grain and Jalepano! Our kids absolutely love the Blueberry bagels. What sets Palm-A-Bagel apart from the rest is that the owner makes the bages FROMSCRATCH and ONPREMISE. Most bagel joints only finish their bagels. These guys do it all, and do it right. The store is small, but offers plenty of sides, including whitefish salad, smoked salmon(lox) and all the essentials like cream cheese, PB&J, etc… They also have a nice little selection of Boar’s Head deli choices. I sometimes will get a bagel sandwich to go. Service is fast, friendly and efficient, and the place is immaculately clean.
