Naturally Gloria

This is called Marla Junes now.
The Brighton website directed me here to find a specific pair of earrings and matching necklace. They had the pair I needed for a gift but they were on a plastic display stand that would be removed from the earrings. (See pic) Other Brighton pieces were displayed on Brighton logo cards so I asked the saleswoman if I could have the earrings on a nicer presentation including the logo. I would do the gift wrapping myself but without the card it would look tacky. Extremely so!!!. She said no… I gave her a blank look because I could not believe what I was hearing. She then offered to throw them in a bracelet box which is akin to gifting them in a shoebox. I said I will shop elsewhere.
She walked off and helped someone in the dressing room as I took a photo of the earrings so I could find them elsewhere (online). She just lost a $ 100 + sale.

Finding a gift for your wife or girlfriend that she will love, can be one of life’s challenges for men. Fortunately, for me is not much of a problem. The question is not what to buy, but where to buy it. For me that is Naturally Gloria, a women’s boutique.
My secret is I don’t actually do the shopping. I just tell Gloria I want to get my wife something for her birthday and she shops for me, while I lounge in the comfortable leather chairs set off in one corner of the store. Gloria selects two or three items, I pick one and I’m done. Totally painless.
Not only does my wife always love her selections, but when she goes to work the next day her friends comment «that is so cute, where you get it». «My husband got for me at Gloria’s.» It is like giving two gifts.
