Have never actually eaten inside, always take-out. I live fairly close to China Wok, and all my business has been take out. I really like the food here. So does my son & daughter(16&21). My Filipina x-wife also eats here and she is about as picky as they come for any type of asian food. I’ve never had a bad experience, food is great, it’s close, and priced pretty decent. They always have our order ready(no matter how big it is) in about 15 minutes. I would recommend this place(for take out at least). The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I haven’t actually sat down and eaten inside. If /when I do, I’ll edit my review and add or subtract based on cleanliness, etc. For now, Chī zhōngguó!

We drove past many, many times before trying it. It looks like an old Taco Bell locations. Their sign says something like«Please try our food, it’s good» so we gave them a try. They were correct. This little, nondescript place had some really good food. The family that owns it works behind the counter and you can watch them prepare your food. We’ve eaten at plenty of places in Chinatown in Chicago and neighborhood places and this is every bit as good. The food is fresh, the servings are large and the prices are very reasonable.

We had driven by this place many many times on our way to places like Chen’s Bistro and on occasion Asian Taste, both of which are a solid 4 out of 5. A neighbor suggested we give it a try. We went in on the early side, about 1130AM. No other customers as they had only been open for a little while that day. After we reviewed the menu and ordered, we walked around the lobby to choose a table. The first thing we noticed was that some of the tables were dirty and the floor had a thick sticky sheen as tough it hadn’t been mopped in a few days. As I started to look around and sneak a peek at the gentleman cooking our meal, I noticed how shabby(and not at all chic) the whole place was. We looked at each other as we got that icky feeling starting to crawl over us. This place used to be a Taco Bell in another life, and I’ll be damned if they don’t have the same booths and red tile floors, no kidding! Many of the chairs are taped up at the seams. The food came out, reasonable portions. I ordered the Mei Fun, a house special. It was warm but not hot. It was mostly noodles with tiny slivers of what I hope was pork and chicken. There were barely any veggies, none of them popped in your mouth as if to suggest they were either not fresh or leftover from the previous day. They have bottled beverages in a cooler like most other Asian places in Kenosha. I really wanted to like this place, I’m all about Mom and Pop’s having their chance. But we will not be going back to China Wok, sorry.

I’m pretty picky with my Chinese food. I haven’t really been able to find a good spot for it in Kenosha. When I saw this place open a few years ago I decided to give it a try. It is now my go-to place for Chinese in Kenosha. Prices are reasonable, food is tasty and always get service with a smile. I order the same thing every time so I can’t speak for all of their dishes but the beef with mixed veggies is pretty darn good. Eggroll is good also. All in all a good spot that I frequent. If you’re unsure, at least give them a try. I think you’ll be pleased.

Um, I don’t understand how can people like this place. I’m starting to think anywhere in wiscousin Chinese food out here is horrible. I’m son disappointed. Cause, I could barely eat what I got. It looked like I never touched it. The sauce on the sesame chicken was so gross I had to spit it out. Blah… There goes my craving for chinese food. Best food is my home town Minnesota. Never going to walk in any type of Chinese restaurant again.
