This was my first time eating at Fireside and will be the last! The lasagna was dry and rubbery around the edges, the cod sandwich came on a hard over heated bun and taste of cod was horrible, salad had no green in it… only very pale lettuce. No butter for the bread on table. The guy at table behind us said his burger tasted like cardboard and refused to pay for it. Good luck if you choose to eat at this restaurant… you are gonna need it.

The place hasn’t changed in 30 odd years. It has that 1970’s-80’s feel to it… a survivor of the Supper Club era. I have had the pasta, Fish Fry and the Italian and Meatball Bombers and all of them have been very good. I generally go on my lunch hour and sit at the bar for quick service. Very good food!

Let me just start off by saying I myself am a cook at a restaurant and recognize the disasters that come with not cooking good properly and giving to a customer to eat! That being said this was my first time at fireside and I went with my family. We all got greeted fine and got our soup and other delicious food(prime rib, appetizers, shrimp, chicken) I ordered the grilled salmon fillet and when I got it. it was still frozen on the inside and RAW! Gooey pink grossness, now I let them know and they said they’d make me another one. I politely waited and got the second try as everyone else is practically finishing up their meals. I take a bite and the inside is still pink! And not salmon pink but raw pink like I eat my salmon medium rare! By this time into the night everyone was ready to go and I hadn’t had two bites. The waitress apologized and made me one to take one which was very cooked and somewhat dry. The worst part is the cook didn’t come out to talk to us or make sure his own food was cooked or the manager. They tried to just take $ 8 off compared to a $ 150 bill, it wasn’t until my family asked to see the owner that she took my meal off and just said sorry. First time and I was extremely disappointed. The waitress was wonderful.

It’s an old-style Wisconsin supper club. Maybe you’re just too young to understand… I’ve been here a few times in the past year as a place where you know what you’re gonna get. Within the confines you’ll find a very Wisconsin décor. The service is good, but sometimes the waitstaff seem a bit overwhelmed with the number of tables they have to cover. The main reason Fireside gets a 3-Star rating is the food. The food is okay, but nothing special. You’ll get your choice of an iceberg salad or an acceptable soup with your dinner. The main entrees that I tried were also just okay. The shrimp from the latest time was nothing more and nothing less than what you would expect from breading and deep-frying it without having any distinguishing features. At least they serve Spotted Cow.

Excellent prime rib, very tender. Ordered the small 10−12oz which was more than adequate. Service was very good and all courses came in a timely manner.

Great environment and great staples. Had their thick crust pizza(not deep dish) and it had the right crunch and flavor(I had gotten sausage and tomato toppings). I was surprised at the quality, but would order the pizza again. The large thick crust takes a half-hour to make, so keep that in mind. Great find!

Horrible experience. Reservation was 6:30, finally sat 20 minutes later. Then 30 minutes later we had to contact the front desk since the wait staff forgot about us. Asked to at least get free drinks and nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Avoid completely! Our Servers lacked skills a McDonald’s employee gives you on a bad day! Despite their rudeness … they actually put the ass part of the pig on my mom’s plate, skin and dimples and just unprofessional!(Photos posted, hopefully) Fyi, it’s F***ING Mother’s Day ~ Btw, after waiting 15 mins to order a drink after being seated, then waiting another 20 mins without a drink arriving, I had to leave the table and get it from the bartender myself. Do NOT eat here!

I’ve been here twice now, once for a Christmas party and now on a date. Both times the waitress have been very slow, my water was empty for over half my meal and never got a refill. The only time we saw our water is when she was grabbing out menus and orders, then dropping off food and handing us the bill. The last time the food was alright, super small portions, I’m small and I don’t eat very much, and this wasn’t enough for me. All in all, I think the bar might be why people go but I don’t think I’ll be back.

This place is garbage, there is obviously no chef. Everything is either frozen or from a box and simply heated and served. I watched them serve a vegan option at a wedding reception that was just a giant bowl of frozen then steamed farts: broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots; no thought or effort went into it at all, just awful. I really do not know how they’re still in business, but I guess that’s Kenosha for you.

The pizza that I had was really good and was half off for happy hour. I didn’t really get to check anything else out. The place looked nice and the poor waitresses were taking care of our group. We had at least 20 people in the group and 2 waitresses. Everything seemed to come out in timely manner. I would recommend checking them out!

A classic old-school«Supper Club» style restaurant. Lots of homemade items, right down to the blue cheese dressing and horseradish sauce. Prime rib was wonderfully prepared and steaks are thick and tender. Wonderful attentive service as well.

A friend and I stopped in for fish fry. The service and drinks were excellent!(I believe our waitress was Jennifer). I even find the outdated atmosphere to be fun, almost reminds me of a dimly lit 80’s truck stop. The clam chowder soup was a pinch salty, but very good. Our food came out hot and I had high hopes, however the batter on the beer battered cod seemed like it would be better suited for chicken. The perch, although plentiful in portion size, lacked breading and one piece tasted like it may have been either passed it’s prime or sitting out too long. Tarter sauce and coleslaw were unexciting. Don’t think we’ll be back.

If your looking for an «old Wisconsin supper club» this is it. The food is good, the drinks are good, and the prices are not bad. We had the special for the night. Pecan crusted Pike. Yummmy! The waitress very nice, and took good care of us. The only draw back was the clam chowder soup was a bit salty. Other then that we liked it, and will be back.

Our 10-lady group had dinner at the Fireside last night. In addition to the menu items, there was a large selection of specials for the evening. Everyone said they liked their dinners, so we’ll probably schedule another meeting there in the future. And our waitress, Helen, was terrific. Thanks Helen!

Still have good food. Service/atmosphere/décor are still shaky. Inexplicably, they have a map of Korea hanging on one of the walls in the lobby!

Disappointing over all. The food was ok but certainly not plentiful. Prices are high for what you get. Nothing great about the food or service. Service barely ok. For what we paid, I probably wouldn’t go back.

Not sure why but the last couple of times I had the prime rib I wasn’t real impressed however their T-bone steak is tender and juicy so it’s what I order now when I am craving«beast». The bartender must be «special» as twice I’ve ordered a Smirnoff martini, straight up, «walk pass the vermouth» with three olives. Both times they came in a rocks glass over ice. :) The last time I was charged for extra olives which horrified our waitress and the charge was promptly removed. Be sure and ask for Jennifer… if she’s working that day you’ll get the best service in town!

Didn’t have the specials what was on their board. Staff was lethargic and elderly. My pizza turnover had all the meat on the bottom. Atmoshere was outdated and vacant. Just not good.
