Seriously, 4&5 stars? Makes me wonder why I would post what I would consider a accurate review when comparing to those giving 4 or more stars? Those ratings are obviously inaccurate ! The temps on food concerned me quite a bit, some items were room temp at best(Where is the thermometer or health inspector)? The sushi was just nasty as hell, everything else was worse.

If you are afraid of live fish… there are several fish tanks that greet you at the door! They think they are running a gift shop and kids arcade as well, lol. The bathrooms are nasty. The food is the wrong temperature. The floor and furniture are dated. I found an empty sprinkles jar with a spoon caked with crusty junk, plus they were all over the floor. Weak stomachs beware!!!

I’ve never given a review so low on stars before but unfortunately there is a first time for everything. Our first impression wasn’t a good one. The woman who greeted us lacked customer service. Very serious, no smiles and my 4 year old said something funny to her and she said«yeah» and walked away… Not that you have to engage with a little kid but at least smile?! We then went up and tried standards we like. We sat down and were grossed out. The crab rangoon was tepid at best — barely warm. Same with the Hawaiian meatball — cool in the middle. I lost it with the«seafood scalloped»(as it was labeled” — they were going for seafood casserole like scalloped potatoes but it resulted in a white cheesy-gelatinous lukewarm blob. Seafood should be hot, not room temperature. I had to then eat something that wouldn’t sicken me so ended up with an «ok» Hawaiian chicken, egg roll and some broccoli w/beef. Desserts were ok. Some fruit on the selection but it wasn’t cold. Next to the desserts(specifically the ice cream machine) was a tub of tatar sauce — because, naturally, it makes sense to have tartar sauce next to ice cream vs. the seafood?! Well, the tartar sauce had a lovely ivory/yellow skin/crust forming in the top of it and it was t even chilled. I think the health department would have a field-day testing temps of buffet items at this place. Now, hours later, I’m at home, doing shots of Pepto and my children are complaining of stomach aches. Never again. I’d rather drive to the buffets in Round Lake(IL) or Gurnee than stay in my hometown and try to stomach this again. The only good thing I can say is the one guy who was very pleasant, polite and attentive who refills drinks, cleans and buses tables. We left a tip for him because he deserved it — he was working very very hard. Yes, their overall star rating is high but if you look at the reviews their stars decline with age. This may be a case of the place being good when it first opened but they have lagged and lost it as the restaurant grew older. Believe me, I don’t like leaving bad reviews. I never do it, as this is my first poor one. I feel bad because it is a family owned place — but, I have to draw the line when it comes to food safety. The temperatures were so far off it’s dangerous. Someone, contact the health department. Bleeck!

I was in the area so I gave it a try because of the high overal Unilocal review & rating. However, I was very disappointed with everything the restaurant had to offer. The food selection was very limited, the food itself was oily, stale, and on the sweet side. Crab legs were small and not fresh. Hot amd sour soup was just lukewarm. It was also depressing to eat in a Chinese buffet restaurant with only a couple of tables of customers. The only good thing about it, perhaps, was the attentive wait staff.

I would give this restaurant a four star but can’t because of their bathrooms. Run, don’t walk and don’t go to the bathrooms. UCK! Food is at a good price, they don’t put a lot out on the buffet. The wait staff is pretty good.

Being from the Chicagoland area, I’m used to buffets of this quality costing more like $ 20 or so per person. Taking that into account, this place simply gets a boost from your average 3 stars to 4. For the items that I piled onto my plate — varieties of chicken and fried fish in particular –the meats were nice and tender, and the fried fish had a nice crunch to it. The crab legs were a bit underwhelming, but hey, what do you expect for all you can eat at $ 10? If you’re coming to a place specifically for crab legs, I would hope that you’d know to go elsewhere. Otherwise, if this place charged double, then yes, those suckers should be better quality. If I find myself in the area again and I’m damn hungry, I would definitely return for this great deal.

A bit stale for 6pm weekday food. Decent selection but some of the entrees were surprisingly not tasty. No drink refills for a couple of us. I’ll pass this place in the future. Oh & the place smells like rotten fish!

The wife and I were driving through Kenosha when that sudden pangs of hunger hit… and while none of us turned into random grumpy famous actors, we didn’t have a Snickers bar on hand to satisfy our hunger either. But we had something better — Unilocal App! A quick review of the app brought up some interesting places, one being a 4.5 star rated Chinese Buffet? Did these Unilocalers know what they’re talking about? Apparently, they did… For $ 10(at dinner), you have access to a plethora of Americanized Chinese food in this huge establishment. Six buffet tables of salad, cooked food, and desserts had something for everyone. And actual Chinese music to back! Crab legs are included as part of the buffet(seriously!) but they were definitely slightly salty and a little bit small… regardless though, for $ 10, that’s a pretty good steal! The roasted and skewered chickens were pretty tender overall, fried fish was very tender and crisp on the outside, soups were on point, and most of the dishes were seasoned about right. The sauced dishes(Orange chicken, general tso, etc.) were a bit heavy on the sugar, but I’ve been on Paleo for some time and that sugar hits my tastebuds a lot harder since I’ve been deprived of it. String beans were stir fried just right, cooked briefly with crispness to it still. Service was friendly, not outstanding, but not bad by any means. Verdict: VERY affordable meal with good quality food that’s kept pretty fresh, along with fresh cut fruit, veggies, and pretty good stir fry? Definitely a four star place. One of the better Chinese buffets I’ve been to!

I have pretty much grew up eating general tso’s chicken my whole life. I must say, this is one of the best i’ve ever had. aside from that, the dishes are all very flavorful and it was well worth of a try on our way to dells. The place is also very neat and tidy. I would seriously recommend others to try it if you haven’t.

I’ve been here a few times… The food is always fresh, and if you want more of something that they might not have on the buffet, they will gladly make it for you. They also have a menu as well for specialty items, and buffet to-go. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and keep the place spotless. I would recommend stopping by here for lunch or dinner anytime.

The food here is pretty good especially for a buffet. There was a good variety and most of what I ate … was tasty. For under 10 bucks it was a deal.

I have been eating at this place for years and have loved it. The variety of food is what keeps me driving out of my way for this restaurant. Their hot and sour soup could use a little more punch but it is very full of ingredients. I love the atmosphere of the place — maybe a little tired but clearly well-loved by many. Great food, a happy atmosphere — can’t ask for much more.

I take my family here a lot, its right down the road from us. We’re always seated right away and the waitresses check on us and are always nice. They have nice decorations like paintings on the wall, and a fish tank with lots of pretty orange fish when you first enter. They also have some cheap fashion like stuff you can buy, sometimes I’ll get my daughter a mood ring but some of the things aren’t the greatest looking quality. Lately they haven’t had crab legs which is a little disappointing, but their other food is good enough to keep us coming back. Just recently I went to grab some take-out soup for my wife and they got some fresh from the back of the kitchen instead of letting me get it from the buffet, which was nice. All in all I like this place.

Best Chinese food buffet I’ve been able to find in this area. I’ve been to this place about 20 – 30 times and the service has always been exceptionally polite and efficient. The food has always been tasty and kept fresh. The lunch buffet price is a great value(price goes up after around 3:30pm or so I think).

Doesn’t matter if you like spicy or(like me) the milder dishes, this place has it all. Starting with an abundant salad bar and two traditional soups plus 4 entrée’ tables and finishing off with dessert bar, it is not like any other Chinese buffet I have ever eaten at. I put on a feeding frenzie that my signicant couldn’t believe. He commented that I ate as much in this one sitting as I normally eat all week. This should tell you of the quality of the food. The wait staff was right there to clear your plates as you went back for refills on the food and the drinks were all refillable at no extra charge.(The wait staff earned their tip here *wide over-stuffed grin)

Probably about 3 and ½ stars. I am not sure if it has the amount of choices that King’s Buffet has, but I found it fresher… then again it could be that I went here closer to lunch time and Kings was around 4 on a weekday.
