Great place for ice cream. Busy on the weekends but the line is worth the wait. Bring cash! Menu switches all the time, recent ice cream flavors are currently posted on facebook. Burgers are great!

This is best ice cream place I have ever been to. Not only do the they have the tradition flavors like vanilla and chocolate they have a lot of custom flavors which are great. They not only have ice cream they have a regular food section of the menu. They are also very quick with getting your ice cream and have very reasonable prices.

While visiting MA last weekend, my friends took me to this wonderful«shack» in the middle of seemingly nowhere in the NH countryside. I ordered a simple Vanilla Soft Serve cone, dipped in chocolate. I was literally in heaven. The staff was friendly, quick, and the cone was incredibly reasonably priced. I will be back there again sometime soon.

i used to be a hodgies only girl… and then i found twin lanterns! they always have the old faithfuls on the menu, but they have a bunch of very funky and unique ice cream flavors that you just wont find anywhere else! must say, as weird as it may sound, that my all time favorite(and new addiction) is hands down the cotton candy ice cream! def. worth giving it a try for your self! also must add the family who owns and runs this place are such great friendly people! they make you feel like family! cant wait until april 1st for opening day!!! see you guys soon!

The burgers and sides at Twin Lantern Dairy Bar are excellent! A cheeseburger deluxe includes all the fixin’s, was cooked perfectly med-well and still very juicy. I’m a burger lover, and have had them from coast to coast, from informal roadside stands to fine dining. The portion was perfect, roll was fresh, and it was well worth the reasonable wait time. Fries were hot and fresh. Prices are very fair. And the service was very friendly. I’ve been making more of an effort to support small local businesses especially in this economy; if you’re into some good food on a beautiful country road, Twin Lantern Dairy Bar is a nice escape.

Located a few miles north of Amesbury, MA on NH150 in Kensington. The Twin Lanterns is a good place during the warmer months to go for ice cream and drive-in type food, a small wooden beige building with outside takeout windows. The price is right for the amount of food and ice cream, most food items in the $ 3.50-$ 7 range, tax included. They offer hard ice cream(30 flavors including no sugar added), soft serve(vanilla, chocolate, black raspberry, coffee), frozen yogurt treats including cones and cups, sundaes, cream puff sundaes, frappes, floats, banana splits, and ice cream pie. The regular food options including burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, seafood rolls, lobster rolls, and dinner plates. I enjoy a tasty clam strip plate with a large chocolate frappé, around $ 10. Yummo! Picnic table seating adjacent to building. LOCATION: 239 Amesbury Rd in Kensington, NH
