I was so disappointed when I went to buy food in this place. Yeah there«some» of the food is ok regarding taste, but it so obvious that it’s not freshly cook. It’s has taste that been recycled or it was a left over from 2 days ago. If you’re familiar with the food that they been serving, you will distinguish that it’s not freshly cook.

Been here twice over the last three months and for a turo turo, «fast-food» restaurant, they deliver in taste. Menudo, afritada, adobo, binagoongan, paksiw, palabok — all these dishes offered their characteristic flavor. Better tasting than some of the Pinoy sit-down restaurants in town.

There was a feeling of sadness when I passed by this place last week. I stopped and just stared… went inside and just glanced around. I was tempted ro eat but just walked away. This place was previously owned by a childhood friend of mine who has worked hard and made a name for himself and was so successful in his DAX Express. Remittance business… Gift Shop… Restaurant…unfortunately .he suddenly passed away almost 2 years ago, I remember whenever I come to visit Seattle he’ll always come and pick me up and show me around… Pike Market. The Puget Sound… He was our tourist guide the first time I set foot in Seattle in 1992. now he is gone. but not forgotten… he’ll always be in my heart and prayers… Always…

Right in the heart of 99 Ranch Asian Mall in Kent lies this tiny deli /grocery store. It serves up a variety of Filipino dishes through out the day. The food here is great! Probably one of the better ones in town if no the best. At least in my books it is. For the last 5 years we have been coming here periodically, always knowing that there will be a favorite of mines. If its myself, my work associates, family or friends there is always something for everyone. From the Sinigang and Adobo, to the Lumpia and Pancet, so much selections makes the experience here always refreshing. If there’s something you are craving for, that dish you haven’t seen in a while, this place normally will serve it one day during the week. There has never been a day where I’ve been dissatisfied with any of the servings I received. Maybe its the cook. She’s been here for over 5 years. Maybe even longer. The consistency and the quality of every dish I’ve eaten here never ends to amaze me. What else can I say about the great food! Taste like how my grandma use to cook em. Maybe this the the biggest reasoning as to why I’ve always found myself back here so very frequently. To often maybe. Oh well, no regrets, this place is great! There are other Filipino Restaurants around but this place but this one has always been our favorite. Especially on a busy day you know that you can come here and never have to worry about fast service and great food. You never have to wait long, just pick your items as they fill your plate in front of you. A selection of either a 1 to a 3 plate combo, the prices are all reasonable and the helpings are generous. For Takeout, you cant go wrong. So many times have I came here to end up taking home 3 – 5 dishes. Usually I can never make up my mind so I end up choosing everything that looks good. Unfortunate for my wallet, that’s what happens when there’s just soooo much great food! To add to the already great food, they do sell an arrangement of Filipino products. In the grocery store portion, which is small, there are is a small variety of favorites. From desserts to snacks, ice cream and drinks, to there frozen goods and Filipino movies, there is a little of everything. Don’t forget the remittance service and Balikbayan Box’s, it wouldn’t feel right with out them :) This is your typical Family run Filipino store. To add to all this, I mention lastly the TV playing local Filipino TV. This will keep you entertained as you shop or dine. Shows like Wa Wa Wee have always mind our lunches much more entertaining. Anyone that eats here can vouch to that. If you want great authentic Filipino food and don’t want the hassle of waiting for service, this place is great. All the food are presented in front of you. There are always plenty to choose from and the price are very reasonable. The food is cooked daily so there is no leftovers carried from the next day.(I wont name the Filipino’s Stores that do:(You know who you are). On top of all this, you will always be greeted like friends here. Do stop by, your stomach will definitely thank you. Do enjoy!
