Kent Meridian Pool

Our family is at this pool 6 days a week as both of our kids swim on the swim team that uses this pool for practice. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile. The pool itself is ok. The building is rather dated and needs a lot of TLC. The locker rooms, showers and toilet areas need the most improvement. The HVAC system could also use an overhaul. We enjoy our countless hours here, but these improvements would make time there so much better.

We visited for a children’s birthday party. My kids had a ton of fun and enjoyed themselves. I loved that the pool is only 3FT deep for my kids sake. I rated this place 4 stars because it is very outdated and could be cleaned up a bit.

The pool itself is alright. The staff is quite friendly. My son is 4 and has been taking lessons there for 2 months. In that time he has had 6 different teachers. He will not be going back next month. When I voiced my concerns to one of the instructors about the musical teachers and how it isn’t very consistent for the children, I was told to consider private lessons. I dont feel like my son needs private lessons, I feel he needs to have the same teacher. In all fairness the other classes that I have seen there seemed to be able to keep the same teacher. But one particular teacher has been out this last month (after having 2 different subs in May) and the guy that took over for her has also had 2 subs in this last month. I am quite disappointed in the experience and I will be looking to get my son lesson elsewhere even though it will be a lot less convenient for us.

This pool could be cleaner and updates would be a plus! Not in the nicest area! The staff is very friendly and always available to answer questions. I prefer the Covington aquatic center for family swims!
