Marlatt Funeral Home & Crematory

Our mom passed away in the wee hours of the morning. There were no prearranged plans, and Dad thought of Marlatt. We had a relative have their services there previously and remembered the beauty and respect of the memorial service and the care the family received there. Their representative, Kim, was there promptly at the medical facility, also in the wee hours of the morning! He treated us respectfully and thoughtfully THROUGHOUT the whole decision making and planning process. There was absolutely no selling pressure and nothing but a respectful accommodation of the families wishes. We decided to push for a quick memorial process, and they did everything to accommodate our timing and preferences. Our planning and memorial service went without a hitch, even when there was standing room only at the service. The facilities and memorial chapel were beautiful, a perfect setting for our service. The staff were always informative and helpful, and present to make the service memorable. We only have good things to say about the staff and services offered at Marlatt! We strongly recommend their services if and when a loved one passes.

DO NOT go here for cremation services for your child. You would hope that when choosing a funeral home that offers infant death services, they would go above and beyond to make sure that grieving parents are taken care of. No parent should ever outlive their own child. Sadly, this is not always the case. Unfortunately the funeral home we chose acted unprofessional, which added salt to our already gaping wound of loss. My husband and I were so disappointed by the experience we received, that we decided to write a letter to the funeral home to complain. Our hopes in writing to them was that they would take our concerns seriously and not provide a negative experience for the next grieving family that came along. Detailed complaint letter here:
Unfortunately, they did not take our comments seriously. Last month my friend’s daughter died and she chose Marlatt as well. The SAME situation occurred — no communication, no follow up call, delayed pick up of their daughters ashes, etc. Please don’t add to the stress and grief of your loss. Avoid giving them any business.
