Family run quiet place. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries($ 9) and teriyaki chicken($ 14). I felt the prices were a bit over the top. The food however tasted great and was sufficient sized. The owners and servers were nice and friendly. Plenty of parking.

Best halal steaks in town(possibly one of the few places in states where you can try good quality halal steaks). I mainly go there for steaks but other items on the menu are equally good. My wife loves the italian chicken, my kids like waffle chicken… i generally get water melon juice as well… everything is super fresh…

My brother is going out of town so we came to have family dinner. Halal ribeye, lamb, and chicken. The service lady from Nepal was very kind. It was busy and orders were coming but she managed and helped everyone. She made us feel like the only diners. The food was amazing as usual but the real benefit was a hug from Chisti Sahib. I needed the light. It brightened my heart.

Step out of your comfort zone and try something that you will be back for! Done with same old junk at the chain restaurants? This place will not disappoint. All the sauces and even the cranberry raisins are made in house. Grass fed beef and lamb, rice that is perfect. We will be back without a doubt.

Maza Grill is by far one of my most favorite Pakistani/Arab/American fusion restaurants! The owner is very welcoming and the portions are just as friendly. Come as a couple or come as a group, I think dining here is a great experience just considering the atmosphere and service. Now, in terms of food… I have nothing but good words to describe it! I had a chicken steak of some sort and it was very well seasoned and authentic. Absolutely mouthwatering. I believe I had some kebab and rice dishes as well and recall them being delicious. Can’t wait to dine here again! It’s a bit of a drive but absolutely worth it.

I love this place. Never mind the décor, the hospitality of the owner makes up for it. I first came here with my husband over a year ago, and I ordered the piri piri chicken. While my husband loved it, it set my mouth on fire I’m afraid I don’t have a lot of tolerance for heat anymore but I still thought it was very good. We recently became regulars again– I don’t think I could go a week without the Lebanese chicken– it’s phenomenal! And the sauce it comes with is out of this world! Creamy, garlicky and a perfect foil to the marinade of the chicken! It’s so good that I have taken to requesting an extra helping of the sauce. Now whenever I call in an order, the owner just automatically put an extra container of sauce without my having to ask for it. Talk about service– I am a lifelong devotee!

I just uploaded the snap shot of the threatening message i received from the owner of this restaurant. So called Mr. Pir is now threatening me and my family by sending private messages here on Unilocal. i was there with my wife and five year old kid. The kind of message i received from the owner is pretty scary, making stories full of lies and threatening innocent people. i was dam right in my initial review that its the owner who is at fault not the people working for him. My purpose of review was not to start a fight rather sharing my experience with other people for good.

It was my worst experience, not because of food(which we didn’t get it), we went there to have my birthday Dinner after a long 1 hour drive we reached there at 9:10pm but the lady refused us to enter into the restaurant by giving this excuse that the closing time is 9 and they are very busy to serve … … but the open timing mention on the door was till 10 pm. … I also checked it before on google, Unilocal and facebook, it is also mentioned that they accept walk in … then why she refused it… it is ridiculous. there are many tables free inside … after coming back to our car we called there contact no, then a person said that we r out of stock … what is this … If they cant serve then why they mention it to be open till 10:00 … it was really a pathetic first experience … customer service is very very very poor.

We went to restaurant 2 ½ hours before closing and the open sign was still blinking. Walked in and there were several empty tables with only 1 large party eating. We were told they could not serve us because they were booked up. I will not return.

Tonight was our first time here. We got Lebanese chicken kebab and spicy beef kebab. It was deliciously well-seasoned and extremely tasty. Looking forward to our next visit!

Owner is very friendly and menu is completely halal. Food is good, but not incredible. The pili chicken wasn’t too spicy but the masala did not blend well with chicken. Also had misc lamb rice dish, rib eye steak as well as chicken and waffles. Best was the steak, least favorite was the pili chicken. All 4 entrees were big portions. Food is a bit over priced. Personally Ishtar down the street is better for halal American food such as burgers/sandwiches. Maza has better kabobs and Desi food.

Great place! We live in Seattle and drove the 40 min to try this place out. They gave us pretty large portions and the owner was really nice. I had the Moroccan chili kebab and that was amazing. The piri piri chicken was also really good, and spicy!

Awesome food. Awesome host and Chef. Good prices. Its my favorite place to eat Halal grilled food. My favorite is Italian Chicken and Turkish Sheesh Kabobs. My daughters love friend chicken wings. I just wish Maaza grilled opened another location in Redmond, then I would be able to visit more frequently.

I was interested not because of the halal aspect, but simply because of the favorable reviews for the chef’s skills. My review will attempt to fill in some of the gaps that are not addressed by others. Maza Grill is in a strip mall anchored by a Safeway store. The interior is very simple and the atmosphere is minimalist. There is no printed menu, the offerings are written on a white board(just the name of the dish and the price, no details on ingredients and preparation). There were about 15 choices the day we were there(including one dessert and one non-alcoholic beverage). Prices for most entrees were around $ 15, with some(a couple of steaks) at $ 25 and higher. The food here is eclectic. There were no chicken and waffles the night we went, but there was an interesting mix of choices. I had the Piri Piri chicken(beware the heat) and my companion had chicken souvlaki kebabs. These dishes were very nicely prepared and presented. No alcohol is offered, we had good mango lassi(pricey at $ 5) and water. The chef greeted us and took our order, and came out to speak with us to check on how we were enjoying the food. He is a very gracious and friendly gentleman, and his philosophy about food is clear. He likes bright flavors, generous portions, and dishes that avoid heavy oils and thick sauces. The dining«experience» of Maza Grill is rather minimal. We were given bottled water with no glasses, and paper napkins. Since my meal was spicy, I had to request a second bottle of water. The check wasn’t brought to the table, patrons step up to a counter to complete payment when they are ready to leave. The walls are unadorned, there was some«spacey» music and a big screen tv showing a slide show of nature scenes, which was sort of like looking at a screen saver. The space is very clean but there is really no décor at all. Four stars for the food, but the overall experience at this price point could certainly be better. It would be nice if there was an informative fixed menu(with daily specials) describing the dishes to make the restaurant a more predictable and user-friendly destination. For the prices it would be appreciated if Maza Grill would handle simple amenities like service, water, and the table setting in a more«fine dining» way. I’m glad I checked out Maza Grill, but I don’t know if I’ll go back.

We try and stop by here at least once every time we are in Seattle. Food is really really great and so is the service. Really can’t go wrong, huge portions and warm hearts. The décor is awful, but it works.

Wonderful hospitality and a great chef. I love the amount of food he gave my wife and I. She order the Hamburger with fries and I had the chicken, and wow that was a big meal I ate it at 2 Pm and we were both full till the evening, we were stuffed. my wife could not finish her lunch. I heard that he might be moving to the East side, which I hope he comes closer to Bothell, as we really need more halal options there. My only remark would be the food had a bit too much salt for my taste, other than that it was great. Would definitely recommend him and go there again. Also the place needs more decoration, but I guess f he is planning to move no need to till he settles in.

Maza Grill has the distinction of being the only halal restaurant in Seattle which serves 100% zabiha halal hand slaughtered chicken(Crescent and Rossdown brands). Not very posh but the food is awesome, prepared fresh by the owner, so be prepared to wait or I would suggest calling early and placing your order on the phone. What I like: Lahoris Chargha Chicken wings Chicken burger Chicken Waffle Mango lassi! My husband likes the kebabs and Piri Piri chicken. The hummus and pita bread starter is pretty good. Make this your next stop if you’re craving Indian/Pakistani/Mediterranean in the south side!
