So far the best place for phở out in Kent. I’ve never tried adding the hot chili oil but it’s pretty good and made the phở super flavorful. This is the place I will keep going to for phở.

Friendly, clean place. Our food was good — standard Vietnamese food. Deep fried shrimp rolls were yummy. Fried rice was good & the shrimp bun was good too. The sauce/dressing could of been more flavorful. All in all a good place to eat.

I always have a taste for phở and usually my boyfriend doesn’t care where we go as long as he gets to go. So I had an appt to go too and figured phở would be quick and easy. I live in Kent now and apparently phở places are not open before 10:00 on Saturdays. We hit up Unilocal and phở it up is not to far away and they are open. Parking is in a lot so that is not a problem at all. Phở it up is in an outdoor strip as well so you might want to do a little sightseeing if you get the notion. We walk in and two tables have customers so we were nodding ok. We seated ourselves and a very nice guy(hawaiin, polynesian decent) brings up menus and we shortly place our order. Me: phở with rare and fatty flank and my boyfriend rare and well done brisket. We order spring rolls as well and I am watching the clock. My boyfriend can eat a large phở in under 10 minutes so I assume with my eating like a normal human, we can be out in 30 minutes. Spring rolls come out and they are pretty average size with asian ham, shrimp, lettuce and noodles. We like fish sauce so we dipped and they were just ok. Our phở comes out and that’s where it got a little confusing. I don’t know if the translations were off in the back but my boyfriend got only rare beef and I can’t honestly tell you what I got. Our server apologized because he thought one the fatty flank wasn’t put in and offered to remake it. I declined and said it could be on the side and he brought me a bowl in less than 2 minutes. Overall the broth was flavorful and good. The noodles were done just right. My boyfriend enjoyed his as well. We also ordered the chinese donut(his favorite) and it came out crunchy and soft on the inside just like he likes it. Overall our bill came to $ 20.95 and was worth the 15 late appt I went too.

The fianc and I decided to try this place out because it was nearby and figured ‘hey, let’s try a different phở place for once’. I did enjoy the flavor of the broth and I like the added touch of broccoli, however, I think we were expecting more meat for ordering a large. Granted, we could be used to the place we norms go to(which btw the other place gives you a lot of meat!) but I feel like I’ve been to other phở places that would still have more meat in their large size than this place did. We usually order chicken, so maybe that isn’t the case with the beef. As much as I enjoyed the flavor of the broth, if I want to get my monies worth(it’s not that expensive, but you know what I mean ;)) I’d prob choose another place close by.

With little time before heading to a class last night, I decided to stop by this new little Phở restaurant, «Phở It Up» on Kent East Hill. The service was great, both friendly and quick. The atmosphere was lighthearted, and a patron was trying their new«Challange». As an individual that has had phở soup many times at various locations, I was very pleasantly surprised by the thiers. It was awesome… the broth had perfect flavor, which seems to be the key to phở soup. There was plenty of noodles, meat and all of the dressings to make your meal perfect. They also had a nice tv up on the wall to offer a little entertainment. They are a new restaurant, but they seem to have it together. It also appears that they now take credit cards, as I was able to pay with mine. I hope they do well, as I plan to return!

I came across this restaurant through word of mouth of a recent management change. There was excellent customer service and the restaurant was very clean. We ordered a meatball phở, stir fried noodle, and beef stew, which all were very delicious! I highly recommend people to check out this spot!
