Horrible service. Technician must’ve been having a bad day. Showed up at my house with an attitude. Wanted to argue and play word games. Acknowledging that picture was «ok», but would not give a yes or no answer if picture was HD 1080. Technician stated that I’m sitting too close to the TV. He also stated TV was pixelated but blamed everything but the fact that the TV is bad! My issue is unresolved. I would not use this company for anything. It was really unprofessional to raise your voice and argue In front of my 7 year old daughter. Finally I had to call his manager and report him. He became angry and stormed outta my house slamming the door. By the way I have a 2 month old sharp 70 inch which had already been exchanged once due to bad panel and the model being discontinued.

Terry was great to work with! He repaired my LG TV yesterday, even coming back out at 6:30pm when LG’s customer service screwed everything up.

Had a picture issue with Samsung 39″. Samsung sent TK out for in-​home repair under warranty. The woman at the TK office was very helpful and courteous on the phone. The tech came when he said he was going to and was very nice. He was only here for about 10 minutes and swapped out the video card and now my TV is good as new. I had a very pleasant experience with this company and am very happy with the service I received. Sad to see that so many people have been negative.

I was Leary of the other bad reviews, but I decided to give them a call. Please note that I did not have them do any work, and that my review is based solely on the phone conversation. Spoke with Sarah who was pleasant. I inquired about having them come out to fix my 10 year old TV. I knew they wouldn’t want to touch it, but i also knew it was a pretty easy and common repair, so I said 7 years. She asked what was wrong and i told her the part. She started on the standard «its too old to fix» to which I responded that it was a super easy repair and was well worth a few hundred dollars to me. Then she started with «we can’t find parts». I happen to know that parts are readily available for this TV, including direct from Samsung. They clearly just didn’t want to do the work. That is of course their choice, but say that then. Don’t treat me like a imbecile and when i refute one claim, come up with another. When I asked he if she knew anyone else that would do a repair she replied no, but she did tell me I was «free to look for someone» so, you know that’s helpful. Save the call and find someone else.

⁸⁄₄: Not only did they try to charge me but it was for the entire amount of the first visit ($ 104) — for a visit which never occurred. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and am now considering a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

I had a great experience with TK Electronics and would definitely recommend them for TV repair. My Samsung 50 inch plasma actually started to separate from front to back and the glass began to fall out! I called TK Electronics and they came out in just 2 days, right on time, and put the plasma back together again! Tim was the technician and was super helpful. Overall, the whole process was super efficient and provided good value. Would definitely recommend!

I want to share my recent experience.
I purchased a Samsung 60inch TV and had an intermittent issue where there was no image but sound. Called Samsung and set up a repair under warranty. TK Electronics then called me to set up an appointment to have a service tech out. I had taken a video of my TV issue and was provided an email address to send that to, I emailed it to TK Electronics, they acknowledged receipt of the email the next day.
A day prior to the appointment they called to confirm. The day of they called to confirm the time frame on both numbers they had on file. The tech showed up within 30mins of the time window. Very clean and courteous, tech had shoe covers while in the house. Had the replacement part (video card) ready. Replaced the parts. Checked the TV functionality. Problem fixed.
I was highly concerned when I saw the bad reviews but ended up with great service.

Very rude, condescending people. Don’t care about their customers because people are forced to go there by TV manufacturers. They will charge you for every little thing. Terrible customer service. Avoid if possible. You will regret going to TKelctronics I promise you.

TK was very helpful and courteous, and went the extra mile to do a repair for me even though I didn’t need to pay for anything. My TV’s display had some stuck and dead pixels, but I had a warranty issue with my Samsung TV since the website showed I was out of warranty (even though I was within warranty by registering it online.) I created a repair request anyway — within a few days, TK contacted me and informed me that the panel would cost $ 1400… but after explaining the warranty situation, they offered to contact Samsung and correct the issue. Two weeks later, they dropped by and replaced the panel in half the time they said it’d take. Way to go, guys!

TK Electronics was selected by Samsung to come repair my new TV. I was contacted by TK for a service time however when the day came they failed to show up. When I contacted them they said my slot had been given away. When TK electronics came to repair my TV they didn’t pull the correct service order therefore all the repairs were not completed on this initial visit. When I contacted them again I was told that the part may not be covered by warranty. I told them I would contact Samsung and get it covered, in the meantime TK contacted Samsung. I’m not sure what was said but it caused me a world or grief and runaround with Samsung. Samsung agreed the repair was to be covered under our warranty and again TK was selected as their repair center. I have yet to have my TV repaired but soon. I would not recommend this company to anyone for a service repair. Their scheduling depart is very rude and they don’t follow through with their commitments. On a positive note their technicians were professional and very nice.

They are the ONLY near-​by Authorized Samsung Service Center. My TV needed an in-​warranty repair. They told me my only options were to drive over an hour each direction to drop-​off and pick-​up my TV, to pay $ 150 for them to pick it up from me, or to pay $ 105 for them to come to my house to do the repair. They would NOT accept my TV being shipped via FedEx WITH INSURANCE nor would they agree to ship the TV back to me even though Samsung had authorized that. They were rude over the phone each time I spoke with them and completely unsympathetic. I would avoid them at all costs! My TV will just have to stay in the condition its in!

Terry and the guys at TK Electronics were very helpful in getting my Samsung TV fixed. They even went above and beyond in calling Samsung for me to twist some arms and get them to cover the repairs — as my TV was no longer in warranty. I would give them 5 stars, but they ended up having to make three trips to my home in order to finally get my TV working. The first trip out they replaced the under-​rated capacitors that crapped out and caused my TV to fail in the first place. Then I was getting no video, so they had to order a new PC board and come out for a visit a week later. That did not fix the problem, so they had to order another part, and make yet another trip out the following week. But in the end I have a working TV which TK Electronics got Samsung to pay for, and I’m a happy camper. My only recommendation is to do a bit more troubleshooting and/​or stock more parts so things can more easily be fixed the first time around.

TK Electronics is the «authorized» repair center for Samsung electronics in the Seattle area, so when my freshly out-​of-​warranty and transport-​resistant DLP TV was felled by a failed firmware update, I had nowhere else to turn. After suffering through the cruel joke that is Samsung’s phone support and their system’s allergy to not dropping my call while their engineers placed me on hold to «research the problem,» I was transferred over to TK for at-​home service to deal with a re-​locatable person.
I ended up staying home at least part of the workday 3 times total during this process:
— When the original appointment had been made, and I was called by the dispatcher to tell me they were coming tomorrow as they had originally said, which was an outright fabrication and would normally end my relationship with a business but I was stuck.
— For the first appointment, which would have gone smoothly where he brought a replacement board and had the invoice already made out… except he brought the wrong board. (To be fair, I am unclear if this error was Samsung’s or the tech’s.)
— For the second appointment, 3 business days later, in which the controller board was swiftly and efficiently replaced and flashed with the latest firmware.
Minus the scheduling miscommunication and the delays, the techs were professional and polite, called to confirm about 30 minutes in advance, and used what I can best describe as shoe condoms to avoid getting my light carpet dirty.
The replacement part was expensive but that’s a Samsung issue. However, while I understand $ 95 for making the house call and «diagnosis» — which was clearly not done since the first tech came prepared with the replacement part already — $ 125 for about 10 minutes of labor makes me feel better about auto repair labor charges and wonder if I’ve chosen the wrong career. If my TV had not been under the automatic American Express extended warranty, this would probably color my experience, but instead it’s more general than personal ridiculousness.
Monopoly reviewing is always a tough proposition and involves different standards; not like Boardwalk and Park Place, but an artificial lock-​in with effectively no competition. In that light, I fared better with TK Electronics than I often do with USPS, but I still wish an unauthorized analog to Robert De Niro from Brazil would have shown up and taken care of the problem; alas, even if he does exist, he’s probably busy in a part of the country where more people have air conditioning.
