Absolutely the worst winery in the area. The building is in need of remodel. Seems as if there is a regular group that goes there and dominates the place. The wine is okay.

Nice lake and prob the best wine is their chocolate kiss. A kiss of summer wonderful aroma and taste. A lot of sweet wines. They have cold bread sticks and claim to have panini sandwich no lines prob closer to grilled cheese. A nice option to have as they are open on Sundays

So… the first thing the owner asked me was«do you have candy in your mouth?!» when I answered to the affirmative I got lectured on how the wine(huff puff) just won’t taste the same because it can’t stand up to the candy. Now look, I’ve been drinking wine for a while. I get the point. What I don’t get is how its ok to lecture customers school teacher style. The rest of the time we were at the counter, she was short and snippy with us. We tasted a few of the wines and bought a bottle of «red kiss» which has cherry and chocolate notes(think cherry tootsie pop) and ordered a cheese tray that she said she’d bring out to the table. We took our bottle outside, which is really pretty – there’s a deck with picnic tables overlooking a pond(which we think is actually part of Mogadore Reservior) with a fountain. Lovely. Good wine good view. But after 25 minutes we still had no cheese tray. Now I get it, she was there alone and we weren’t the only people she needed to take care of– but we would have been totally fine with a «your tray will be ready in 10 – 15 minutes, just come back to the counter and give me your name». So hubby went in after it, and came back with wedges of cheese we had to cut ourselves, half an apple, some pre-sliced packaged salami and kebler club crackers. ugh. for 9.50 I expected a little better than that I guess. Overall– it was alright, but I think we’ll be taking our business back to Wolf Creek and Perennial.

My Hubby, our 2 friends, and I went here for a double date. The Owner was accommodating and opened several bottles for us to taste. We were the only customers on a Thursday night. We ordered food and multiple flights, and then bottles. We were politely asked to leave promptly at closing time. We were a little bummed that we couldn’t finish our wine but understood. The wine is OK but overpriced. We really enjoyed the Chardonnay. The food is gross and over-priced. The only reason we did come here was to see how much it has changed since we moved to the West Coast in 2006. All in all this place is ok to visit but I won’t be coming back.

This is one of the worst run establishments I have ever seen. The owners are not just incompetent — they are downright nasty. If you are looking for a fun time at a reasonable price, go elsewhere!

Beautiful setting and simple but delicious food. The sunset over the lake and good wine in the company of good friends made this a great way to spend a lazy evening. All the wines that I tried were very good and on par with other Ohio wines.

This was hands down my favorite hangout when I lived in Akron. It was a few miles from my house and down an old back road, smack dab in the middle of gorgeous scenery. There is a very large indoor area to sit as well as a large outdoor area as well, and a pond and vineyard on site. It well beat out the bar scene for several reasons. First off was that you could bring in your own dinner and enjoy a bottle of wine and dinner with friends. For this reason, it ended up being the location for several of my birthday parties. 15 of us or so would grab a table, bring some delicious tapas, someone would bring a cake, and we’d have several bottles of wine and still be able to have a conversation. Being on a back road it was easy to get home and there was never traffic. They had board games available also and snack plates of their own. Their wine is incredible. I remember the day I had my first taste of their Red Kiss. At the time it wasn’t even being bottled and was only available in house. They bottled it a few months later, at Thanksgiving and I gave it to many friends and family members as presents. The perfect combination of chocolate and red wine(neither of which I like separately) was irresistible. Their ice wine is to die for, and I love their party wine with the crazy gnome on the label. I also cannot forget the owners which are incredible. They were so friendly every tine I came in or called in regards to something and always gave my friends and I excellent service whenever we arrived. If you are in the area, this is not something you can pass up.
