The ownership changed at this salon 2 or 3 years ago & nobody has reviewed it since the change. I went to this salon back when Lee owned it — her prices were good but the quality of the job — so so… NOW Lisa now runs this salon & is the sweetest gal & extremely good at what she does. She loves doing nails & it shows. Pedi with hot stones — $ 20 — lasts about a month. For hands — Mani $ 10 — she does a great job but my favorite now is the great selection of gel colors & her gel/shellac’s last about 3 weeks. Her pricing is better than I’ve found anywhere else. I’ve been to other nail salons that did not last as well. So «Nancy’s spa»(named after Lisa’s daughter) gets a major thumbs up for me. And like another reviewer said — don’t confuse with the nail salons next door. This one is right next door to the Chinese restaurant, not the salon up the stairs(which are not as good & more expensive).

This certainly isn’t SIlk of San Francisco, but getting a quick manicure for $ 10 is a great deal.

My pedicure was followed by a visit to the podiatrist because Lee dug so deep, pulling a piece of nail as well as skin. I am now on antibiotics, epsom salt soaks and neosporin with bandages. Need I say more?

update*** After only a couple days the nail polish on some of my fingers has almost entirely chipped off. Seriously? Their prices are again average but even other average-priced places don’t either use super cheap polish or do as lazy work. I’m not even going to go back and ask for free touch-ups — it would be a waste of my time to.

I’m the kinda girl where I want my mani/pedi done quickly and done well — and not have to pay a couple toes(yeah, lame joke) to get what I want. In other words, I like the nail services in San Francisco. But, since I live in Marin, I’ve been forced to accept the $ 40 for mani/pedi(ahhh those days of $ 20 for both!!!) I’ve been to Lee’s a couple times, since I live down the block from them. $ 10 bucks for a mani? Hell yeah, I’m in. 45 minutes later for said mani, with nails that aren’t even and polish smeared around my cuticles? Whatever. We all have those places that we go out of dire necessity. This place will become a dire necessity place. If I have time, I’ll go somewhere else. If I’m in a pinch(like I was yesterday) I’ll go there. P. S. I just looked down at my nails and my polish is already pealing. I got my mani done 18 hours ago. Argh!

I have been going to Lee for 6 years now. She is excellent, professional and everything is clean. You must park on the street which is a challenge at times. There is a competitor next door, avoid mixing them up! Personal service, always remembers my name. Sweet woman. PS this is Mrs. Scott doing the review!

Had a great experience here on Saturday. Okay, it’s no frills(they don’t even offer you water or tea), but it’s very clean, Lee is very nice, they have OPI nail polish and a pedi is only $ 20. I went with my friend and Lee even offered to give us painted flowers on our big toes for free. They are too cute for me, but my friend ended up with an adorable one. Don’t be mistaken: Lee is now at 937 Sr. Francis Drake, she used to be on Bön Air and her salon is right next to «Just Nails». Nails by Lee is the place to go!

I’ve known Lee for over about 7 years. I go to her off and on only because of where I work and I hate doing Pedi’s on weekends and its hard to make it back in time after lunch… However, I just need to make certain I take more time to go to her… she does a great job. I love the hot stone massage… My feet are glowing after I go… She likes my ugly toes and doesn’t make them feel uncomfortable… Everything is clean!!! Always tip top clean.

This place gets a star because the lady working there(the owner) was nice. But I want/need more than nice when I get a pedi. I want: cuticles thoroughly removed polish applied neatly, accurately tips of nails polished, too! no pain! nails filed with care(do not press the file against my skin!, it’s a NAIL files, for crying out loud!!!) Sure, they have a stone massage which was(again, the word) «nice», but even that didn’t make up for the LOUSY pedicure. I had smears of polish around my skin, a nasty rash/scrape where she carelessly took the callous remover pad to the side of my foot, near my ankle(OUCH!), not to mention the rough edges(!!) on the nails themselves. Tips were not coated, either. Lame, lame, lame pedi, Unilocalers! Whoever gave this place a 5 star rating, needs to get a REAL pedi. Nails by Lee is not a real pedi. Not to mention, the $ 20 it cost, when I’ve had far better in downtown SR for $ 18 and under. My search for a great pedi in Marin continues…

The ladies here are great! Loved the complimentary hot stone massage with pedi, and small friendly atmosphere. I think $ 10/$ 20 for mani/pedi are very fair prices for great attention to detail. I have been to two other nail salons in Larkspur and Kentfield and this one is my favorite so far. Please note that reviews for this nail salon have been written under«Lee Nail Care» listed also on Sir Francis Drake in Kentfield, but this listing has the correct address and phone number. Only drawback is not open on Sundays, but good for them for taking the day off. There is a competing salon next door(Just Nails) who are open on Sunday. Street parking only.
