After eating a late breakfast here, I remembered what I liked about Denny’s, and I remembered what I didn’t care for, as well. I like that they consistently serve up a nice diner style breakfast, even though the hash browns lack freshness, and sometimes they forget that toast should actually be toasted! I don’t like that it is usually crowded and noisy, always with a number of screeching, grumpy«little persons» spreading their singular form of social interaction, completely ignored by clueless parents who have been rendered numb. Waaaay too many excellent local diners(Jake’s, Best Diner, numerous Carolina’s Diner locations, Herbie’s, Danny’s, Bayside, Coliseum Country Café, Spring Valley, Moose Café, & more!) serving up great breakfast food in a much more pleasant environment. Lesson re-learned!

I have always been pleased with the service and food quality at the restsurant. We eat here often late at night, and their food is to die for. They make awesome milkshakes too.

I was very pleased with my visit here at Denny’s! They always stay packed, but it’s easy to see why after my experience there. They are very courteous, fast, and efficient with their service and hospitality. A waitress took my order within minutes of me sitting down, and she never let my beverage get past half empty before refilling it again. I got the grand slam breakfast with a short stack of blueberry pancakes which was delicious! My grand slam came with bacon, sausage, eggs with cheese, hash browns, and toast. I will definitely be back as you can’t go wrong here; plus they are open 24 hours!

Service is what it is. Don’t expect much more. Pleasantly pleased with the the breakfast food and it was cooked the way I wanted it. The price is too high for my likes but overall a decent experience. The staff will try to joke around with you but a lackluster attempt at best.

I got a refund from the waitress. Everyone at the table had problems. We all asked for a complimentary coffee. We were the only customers have a gossip party. they not volunteer to much for us. We had to ask them to wait on us. When we walked into the store. Not volunteer to give us menu. the hostess, white and young would not speak to us. just threw the menu on the table. waitress not want to write down the order. told us not want to. we had to yell at her to do so. not volunteer to give us silverware, menu, drinks, food, and come back to the table to see if want anything else. she gave us our food and asked us if we wanted anything more to eat. and would walk away from us while we were talking to her. we had to ask her to come back and finish the job. we have not been back since the visit.

I really can’t say ENOUGH… This outstanding team certainly filled my. Friday morning breakfast with unexpected surprise! Celia is ABOVE exceptionally courteous. She served me in a timely fashion with Delightfully Delicious food that she RECOMMENDED she was soooooo Right! Ya gotta try the Gouda Apple chicken sausage! Ok, along with the pumpkin pancakes EXCELLENT start for a workday. The manager Nelson has a lot to be proud of. Also Jessica supplied much needed information concerning an inexpensive but professional taxi service… WOW! I WILLBERETURNINGSOON!

Place smelled old, but food was good and came in a timely manner. Wait staff was ok considering that place was extremely busy. I like Dennys and this is the closest one, so I will definitely be back.

Went here for breakfast on Saturday with my two girls. It was very busy but we only waited five minutes for a table. The food came out fast, hot and was what we ordered. The waitress did her job. We left satisfied. I’ll go back.

I actually came here for breakfast(at breakfast time!) this past Saturday morning about 9:00am. The place was packed. Our waiter was pleasant… he was obviously very busy, but we didn’t have to wait overly long for anything. I had a create your own Grand Slam thing with two sunny-side-up eggs, two sides of bacon, and a biscuit. I sprang for the 90 cent(or whatever) extra charge for a bowl of sausage gravy. My friend ate some«Hobbit/Lord of the Rings» gimmicky special that included eggs cooked inside toasted cheddar buns. I was sort of jealous. I’m not sure why Denny’s insists you have hash browns. Me: «I don’t want hash browns.» Denny’s: «Dammit, you’re getting hash browns!» Well, ha ha Denny’s, you can’t make me eat them even though you keep serving them to me. The food was ok. As usual. I think I like the 1:00a.m. crowds better… some of them may be crying at that hour, but they are usually not three years old.

I’ve given this place three attempts to at least provide me with a passable meal, and the inning’s over with nothing on base. To open, let me say that my Denny’s chain experience is limited, so I don’t know if every Denny’s is this abysmal or it’s just that it’s centered on this particular location. The portions are eyebrow-raising small — the prices are surprisingly high for what you get, and the service is disinterested at best and invisible at its worst. I got FOODPOISONING from the fried appetizer sampler platter. Three chicken strips, three mozz sticks and onion rings and somehow I walked away sick. It was the only thing I ate all day and I have no idea how they managed to get that level of germs into the food when the chicken strips were clearly the pre-cooked kind and the things were deep fried besides. Last visit: We got a plate of chili fries with cheese. Simple, right? Dump fries, apply chili, bring to table. So what took a half hour? 30 minutes, folks. Can’t make this up. A bowl of fries was brought out to us, and I counted…15 fries(that’s .26/fry for those of you following at home). They were sent back to the waitress because there was a lump of just-below room temp chili on it, NOCHEESE. 1⁄3 of a three ingredient dish was missing. It was brought back 5 minutes later with cold cheese on top — that wasn’t melting because the chili wasn’t hot — and huge chunks of raw onion too. Thankfully, I like onion, because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have been able to choke down this poor excuse for food — my husband wasn’t so lucky. My friend got a pancake puppies sundae. Scoop of ice cream, three balls of pancakes the size of donut holes. Again, simple right? 40 minutes AND they were out of vanilla ice cream. Now, the waitress was pleasant enough, but when I ask for water and don’t get it three times in a single meal, I’m sorry, something’s wrong there. They had the girl spread across more than half of the entire restaurant, dealing with 6 – 7 tables at once. I don’t care if someone is the best waitress in the world, giving her half of a packed restaurant is going to diminish any hope she has at competent service at any one table. I’ve been summarily ignored on my other two visits though too, even when hubby and I were one of two tables in the restaurant, so I imagine it has a lot more to do with corporate attitude than perceived skill. It smells bad, the service is bad, the food is overpriced and also bad. Three strikes, you’re out! Denny’s needs to severely revamp or shut down this location entirely. Poor service and food three separate days/times over the course of a year is inexcusable.

It’s been awhile since the Channel 70 crew has visited a Denny’s because I can never get a majority vote. This Denny’s was very close to our motel and we were tired and there was no waiting for a table. I ordered the chopped steak from a super nice waitress. The steak arrived and I asked for Worcestershire sauce. Not happening, I was told. Denny’s has done away with Worcestershire sauce. This is not a joke. I was then told Denny’s has not had Worcestershire sauce for awhile. Cost cutting? A whim? Stupidity? I’m going with choice 3, but choices 1 and two are contenders.

Has smelled like a dirty dish rag inside each of the 4 times I’ve eaten here. Food wasn’t horrible, though. Typical Denny’s.

I called Denny’s in the am for directions from Winston Salem, had been up since 5 and didn’t think about Googling… sorry. The woman that answered the phone hung up on me after my question. You will probably never find her but today is April 16 Sat. I will still visit as I’ve tried Denny’s in Asheville and enfoyed the food and service, but this action was very rude and quite unexpected. Thank, Kate Cardwell

Pretty much exactly what you expect, nice service, but not stellar service. The food was good, not burnt, and edible. I love breakfast food, so most of the dishes looked yummy!

After a long night, Denny’s was the perfect stop. Luckily, one of the rarely appearing locations in NC was right on the way home. It was about 11 pm when we got there. There was a fair crowd, but more than enough staff to handle it. My Diet Coke was never less than half full. Also, I think I fell in love with the Slamburger. Egg over medium.
