Great food and good quality of food very fresh seasoned very well and server was awesome. Very pleasing to eat and the atmosphere was awesome. No need to ask for refills on drinks highly recommended to the downtown town area. Take a friend and enjoy.

Wasn’t a fan of the cinnamon tea… the Lemonade was so fresh and YUMMY. The food is NOT typical Tex/Mex! If that’s what you are looking for GOSOMEWHEREELSE! The owner will tell you this when you get there too!(not go somewhere else but that it’s not typical tex/mex) The staff was great– Very friendly. Small place but cute! The chips are homemade and fresh, salsa was tasty. I had a special off the board, it was good. The Eggrolls are SO good— the soup was very good and they served it with mini corn muffin cakes. price is not bad either for the food you get! Enjoy. stop by and say hi.

Theresa makes the freshest tastiest food out there. Small location and not your typical Texmex fare. Everything has her own unique twist and is made one plate at a time. Chicken avocado egg rolls are to die for. My favorite is the Chicken Street Tacos and the goat cheese and Guacamole. You won’t be disappointed.

Chicken avocado egg rolls = amazing! Tortilla soup is yummy. Salsa is ok, chips are thick — not to my liking. Small, quaint place. Stop by and get lunch! 2nd review — went again since I enjoyed the food last visit, however was sadly disappointed to find the tortilla soup and chicken avocado eggrolls tasted different from my first visit. :( Prefer a place that cooks it the same each time. Still may visit again and give them another shot.

Conchita’s On Main is a humble place(which is a nice term for hole-in-the-wall) & for those of you who know me, you know I love to frequent these little, local owned eateries. I have a very dear friend who just so happens to be a former Miss Seguin & lives in Kerrville so the last time I was in town we headed over to Conchita’s for a late breakfast. Located downtown the place is clean & eclectic with mismatching tables & chairs. Paintings, animal skulls & the usual south of the border tzotchkes adorn the walls. We were the first customers of the day so we got to pick our table. Our drinks were ordered & we looked at the menu. Good Lord! Everything on the menu looked delish & I was drawn to the chicken fajita nachos. I know not very adventurous but hey I had a few drinks the night before & nachos sounded better than a breakfast taco. Miss Seguin ordered a house specialty the Chicken Avocado Egg Rolls. Our meals hit the table after a brief wait & we dug in. The nachos were loaded with all the good stuff I love: refried beans, chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, sour cream, & guacamole all sitting on extra crispy & hearty chips. Exactly what my slightly hung over self needed! MS noticed me ogling her egg rolls & was kind enough to let me have a taste. Oh wow these fried beauties were deliciously stuffed with chicken & chunks of avocado with a green sauce drizzled over them. The server was nice & efficient, there when we needed him & scarce while we enjoyed our food & conversation. Definitely hitting this place during my next visit to K-ville!

After days of cooking on our vaca, we decided to take a break & venture into town for a late lunch after a morning fishing on the river. We rode past 2 other restaurants in town before finally deciding this was the spot. Hubs was skeptical by the looks of the place, but coming from a small town, I knew it was worth a shot. This is a perfect location right in downtown, just small. All the better, in my opinion. I am so glad I stood my ground. The owner of this place is absolutely passionate about what she is doing & it shows in the the food!!! I had the signature egg rolls(yes, it seemed sketchy at first) and they were amazing!!! The pablano pepper dish was so good, our nanny tried to force everyone at the table to try a bite, and she is the biggest Mexican food snob I have ever met. The tea was different, but good. Everyone enjoyed their meal & decided this would be a regular stop on our future vacations to Hill Country. Service was good. But it was after the lunch rush. With just the owner handling the floor, I could see where it might get hectic during peak times. She was slow to warm up to us, but once we talked, she made us feel like we were one of the locals in for our daily food fix. I love that. We will definitely be back.

1pm lunch Queso tastes like canned cheese sauce with tomatoes and grated cheese added. Salsa was pico de Gallo style and good/fresh. Chips are thick and crunchy hard. Puffy taco plate was good but a little on the dry side. El pastor tacos were just ok, needed more seasoning. Restaurant was clean. Waiters wearing black uniforms. Tables set with black silverware and matching black cloth napkins.

Ate here twice this weekend. Great place. Very interesting food. From the traditional green chicken enchiladas to the more eclectic salmon nachos, everything we had was very fresh tasting and very good. Highly recommended!

I guess I don’t know what«real» mexican food is, although I grew up eating mothers New Mexican cooking and now live in Houston with some pretty darn good tex mex food. We went to this place based solely on the reviews on this site. I cannot, in good conscious, recommend this place as a good place to spend your money. The owner is lovely, the place is small town quaint, however the food is very bland and way overpriced. Lunch consisted of cheese enchiladas with rice and beans for my sweetie and the egg rolls for me, 2 iced teas and our bill was around $ 24. The salsa was too tomato saucey and needed too much seasoning to fix at the table. The chips were homemade and the best part of the meal. I wish I could give a better review, I really do but I am trying to be honest. Way overpriced, bland food and no adult beverages are available, are the cons. Nice pleasant owner and good chips are the pluses. Oh and the iced tea was a spiced tea which we paid for and could not drink. It was ok but we ordered regular iced tea and did not get it. We were not informed it was a flavored tea and was only offered water to replace it.

I live in SA and do business here in Kerrville. I drive by this place all the time. Saw some good reviews on here so I stopped in today. I had the Harvey Plato, 2 beef enchiladas, beef taco, rice and beans. It was awesome. Seems like a lot of Mexican food restaurants try to over do simple dishes, this was straight and to the point, great enchiladas. The owner, Theresa was great to talk to also. Made it feel like I stopped by her house for dinner. Very personable and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend anyone coming here.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world! I crave Avocado Chicken Egg Rolls with Pecan Chipotle sauce everyday. I just wish they were open at other times besides Monday through Friday 11 – 3 as I work out of town during that time. So when I get it, it’s a treat!

Was in town for a conference and found this place on Unilocal.Glad I did. Great small, authentic Mexican restaurant. If you’re in town and looking for a non-chain Mexican food place, this is it. The owner is a very nice lady and very attentive. We started off with a plate of her chicken-avocado egg rolls, which she told us she was known for. My two buddies and I were very glad we tried them!!! She split them up so that we each got two pieces. I probably could have had a plate of them to myself!!! Definitely try them. We all had a specialty plate that consisted of enchiladas, a taco, beans and rice. I opted for chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Very tasty. Buddies got cheese with red sauce and they were not disappointed. Overall, very good food. Good service. If ever back in town, will definitely try and make it there. Her ice tea had a hint of cinnamon, which made it very tasty.

I came upon Conchita’s by chance today. The other place I was hoping to try out was closed, «on vacation», the sign said. I may never find out if that place was good or not. Conchita’s will be a regular stop for me after today. I had the chili relleño taco plate. Plenty of food, two tacos! But even a mediocre restaurant will give you lots of food on your plate. My first bite told me «this is NOT prefab frozen food heated up and served. This is hand crafted food made with pride… So two very ample tacos, rice, beans, and small salad with guacamole. The beans, obviously home made and properly refried! The rice seemed a little under seasoned, but adequate. All said this was a surprisingly good food experience.

Best and most interesting Mexican food in the Kerrville area. I would describe it as gourmet Mexican. Nothing has been bad. Try the eggrolls! Good and friendly service all the time.
