The guys at Bicycles For All are awesome! Jorge explained the process: They take donated bicycles, repair them, and give them to children. The larger adult bikes are sold very reasonably to offset the cost of parts and other expenses. The people that run the shop and repair the bikes are all volunteers. When I visited them in mid-August 2015, their«store» was FULL of bicycles(most of which were in need of some repair). The volunteers took their time to make sure that each bicycle they sold or gave away was in good working order and safe to ride. The best thing was seeing the HUGE smile on the face of a youngster when he picked out his«new» bike.
