We were driving back from San Diego to San Jose when we did a quick stop at the place. We greeted promptly and seated and our server was one of the most courteous person that I have ever met. He took our orders of salmon, fit fare skillet and other sides and got them out promptly. There were no complaints on how the dishes were done and the guy kept checking in on us. Post our meal he got us our check on time and we were on our way without any wastage of time. The place was also were clean. The only reason that I removed the star was because he forgot to get us our silverware with our food(though he was extremely apologetic about it). Definitely will stop here the next time when I drive down south.

Slowest Denny’s ever! Half the tables are empty and there’s a crowd waiting to be seated. Waitresses are hollering at each other in Spanish, that they want to leave, they don’t want to be here, and to take their time. Horrible inefficient service, the manager doesn’t know how to lead his crew. Won’t come here again. We’re seated next to the kitchen so we hear everything they say. I don’t know if this is a usual thing or just today, but judging from the lack of motivation the workers have here, I’ll say it’s usual. Thank God our waitress(Melissa)was one of the few that was actually working.

We stopped for a driving break and a snack around 10:30 pm on a Thursday evening. Nicole our server was great, friendly and warm. She was at the end of her shift but made sure we were server on time and had everything we needed. The service was great. The food on the otherhand was a disaster. The Moonoverhammy was just weird. Egg and ham sandwitch with way too much leftover ham. I ordered Eggs and Sausage. The sausage was very old and looks like it had been in the warmer for many hours. To recap, Nicole was great, food really sucks. On our way back to the Bay Area we are hoping Harris Ranch will be open!

Had to wait for coffee. Interesting for a Dennys. However coffee doesn’t take 20 min to brew, so I’m assuming she forgot? Also forgot an appetizer order, then tried to have them make it after she had already dropped of food. The aloofness of this server was amazing. This is one of those instances where just smiling and being friendly won’t get you a tip, you actually have to give us the food we ordered.

Worst experience ever at Denny’s. They ran out of honey — can you believe that. Never ever visit this location, there is a Mc’Donalds near by, save yourself and your money, eat there instead.

Only place to stop for breakfast on interstate 5 heading south to LosAngeles. Easy off easy on full service mile long area to gas up, restaurants. It’s in the middle of no where south a few hours from Sacramento. The restaurant is fairly new and opens about 6am. The wait staff friendly and Juliana is the early shift and she always is pleasant so early in the morning. Nothing like a good breakfast to make you roll into LA! Happy road trip, full tummy!

Outstanding place, great staff. Great atmosphere! Great service and very clean. Only problem is it was very cold but not an issue at all!

Really professional staff — even at 5:30am. Daughter and I stayed overnight in Kettleman City and needed to be on the road by 6am. Got in the door at 5:30am Saturday morning and the lovely young lady shuttled us to our table and totally got our sense of urgency. Daughter ordered the«one of everything» breakfast(I don’t know the real name but that should have been it) and it came out quickly, perfectly cooked, and very tasty. I just had coffee(who can eat at 5:30am besides teenagers?) and it was standard fare. Nice job, Denny’s!

Great customer service but if your going for the food don’t bother. Ordered grand slam and the turkey bacon was cold. Coffee cup has lipstick on it. Wasn’t busy in fact their was just one other person in the restaurant watching free tv… Gall was nice but didn’t offer to step it up had to ask. Go down the exit and look for another place or hit up Starbucks drive thru across the way…

This was a pretty average Denny’s, my reasoning for 3 stars was the service was not the greatest. We sat there almost 15 min before anyone got our drink orders. At one point the lady asked my grandma if she wanted a refill, she said yes but wanted the cold coffee dumped out. The lady didn’t listen to her, my grandma had to say it two more times after she poured the coffee that she wanted it poured out. I ordered a gluten free English muffin, just for diet choice, after I ate half of it the waitress came out and said I’m sorry that’s not gluten let me bring you one out. It’s a good thing I don’t have a gluten allergy or I’m sure the rest of my day trip to the coast would have been ruined. I probably would not suggest this Denny to friends.

Called in our order … for TAKEOUT:
We had the blueberry pancakes, bacon, red potatoes and bacon, and it was good! Soooooo… much better than the food at Mac Donald’s which cost for two, $ 15.50 for a **tiny egg mcMuffin and an oily tater tot? ****Denny’s gives you sooooooo much more food, tastes soooooo much better than settling for Mac Donald’s nothing breakfast! It cost just a tiny bit more at Denny’s but sooooooo Much better then Mac Donald’s!!!

This Denny’s is a decent stopping point between the Bay Area and LA. The waitresses are okay, though my last time there, she tried to upset me anything and everything else on the menu that I didn’t need. But the location is convenient off of the I-5, the service was okay and I was on my way in half an hour.

The hubs and my twin sister stopped here for breakfast on our way to Southern California. Our waitress Yuliana was outstanding! I mean Denny’s is a place where you don’t expect much but actually it was an overall good experience. And most of that was due to the outstanding service. I can honestly say I hadn’t been to a Denny’s since my bar hopping days when you went there after last call. But I will say I was happily surprised by the food and service. The breakfast was good.

I can’t understand why there only listed at 2 ½ stars… This place was great! Ppl were polite and carried a smile through out the entire time we were there! Our server Angie couldn’t have been any nicer! Checked on us and every other table under her watch in a timely manner. I think the best part was hearing the guys upfront give the guys in the back the respect and credit they deserve! Yelling to the guys«great job, keep it up!» Or «thanks for getting that so fast» the food was cooked so well! Someone else just said it’s just another chain with same ol stuff… obviously they are blind to everything else going on. Thanks for giving us a pleasant dinner!

Been looking at some of the negative reviews on this site and wonder if they are about someplace else… We visited our daughter over the Easter week… On the way south on Saturday, March 28th, we stopped at this Denny’s for lunch… I don’t know whether that store is corporate owned or a franchise… Somebody needs a serious«HIP, HIP, HOORAY! JOBWELLDONE!!» To say that it was a spectacular visit would be an understatement and, yes, it is part of a chain that sadly, most of us take for granted: We arrived about noon… Restaurant was busy but not yet slammed… Staff was appropriate to the business on a midday Saturday… Restaurant was sparkling clean and setup for the day — parking area, grounds, waiting space, dining area, bathrooms, what we could see of the kitchen access… Every person — hostess, server(Rosario L), busser, even someone cleaning another table — was friendly beyond words… Sorry, I did not catch the other names… Service was prompt — no more than six or seven minutes from the time we placed our order until it was delivered… Great food — apple, cranberry, grilled chicken salads with balsamic vinaigrette dressing, new to us and wonderfully fresh with great presentation… Very obviously, the management of this restaurant makes a serious effort to properly train and motivate the staff… Slow times surely are spent cleaning every nook and cranny as well as making sure the visual impact for an arriving customer is inviting and warm… Someone has taken the time to properly train the staff in the art — and it is an art — of gracious customer service… Every single person made eye contact and had a welcome word for us… At least three of the staff thanked us for our visit as we left and invited us to return… If every Denny’s appeared as this one in Kettleman City and treated customers the way we were treated, there would be a waiting line out the door and down the street beyond their ability to handle…

My 5 year old twins and I arrived here on a Sunday night and had a 10 minute wait with a restaurant that was relatively empty… Pros: The place looked fairly clean. Cons: Waited 10 minutes to be seated by the restroom with 20 other empty booths along the way to get to the table; waited 20 minutes to not be served. 30 minutes into it… after watching everyone be served… me and my boys left. This place is a good example of having customers regardless of bad service… Never again.

It’s Denny’s… So, it’s all about the breakfast(for any meal of the day)! As a chain restaurant it has a standard menu. Great for a great cheap bite.

Don’t stop if you are in a hurry and expect even average Denny’s experience! 2nd time here in three weeks. Crickets scampering across the floor. No eating utensils on our, and half the other tables, again. No Cole slaw for fish & chips, also no rice. Friendly server — understaffed. A very poor excuse of a Denny’s …

Service was really good. And the food was great I tried their new steak Cobb salad and it was so much salad for 10 bucks I was very pleased. Service food and price was just right.

There is not a whole lot you can say about chain restaurants as they all pretty much have the same menu. So the reviews are mostly for customer service and the food quality. Stopped here on Thanksgiving Day for a cup of much needed coffee and pit stop. I tried the ally pretty tasty. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The bathrooms were clean. There were not a lot of customers so service was quick.
