False advertising! A rip off & a dump!
Avoid this place at all costs!!!
This score should be a ZERO, as everything was/​is TERRIBLE! It is a complete dump, and the service at the front desk was a joke. They acted like we were bothering them by checking in.
Talk about false advertising! Oceanfront! The minimal area with 2 lounge chairs was covered in trash, and seaweed. It was disgusting.
There are several people who are permanent residents of the hotel. One person told us he lived there for 5 years.
This place was an absolute dump, and not worth $ 30 a night. They did not have a safe in the room, they did not even have a phone in the room! When we called the front desk from our cell phone, they told us they were struck by lightening 2 years ago & are still dealing with that. They said we should call our cell phone carrier if our service was spotty. They advertise a restaurant on property, which is yet another lie! There is a flyer in the room about the Lorelai Restaurant across the street!
They advertise a «Tiki Bar,» and when we walked down to the «beach» to have a drink at the Tiki Bar, it was just a wooden roof and some bar stools! It was not an actual Bar! This is yet another lie on their website.

Aside from the décor being outdated and horrible, the property needs to be cleaned & taken care of. It is dark and dingy, beat up place. Avoid this place at all costs! was/​is TERRIBLE! I am not a competitor nor a disgruntled employee.
I am a recent, full revenue guest that as any other guest, expects to pay what he is told he’s going to pay.
In spite of all 1 star reviews I had previously read, I was really looking forward to leaving a most wonderful review. As it turns out I have added myself to the list of unhappy guests.
I made reservations to stay here a couple of months ago against my better judgment, even after reading reviews, I decided to give it a shot. The first time out I was headed to the hotel my boat trailer broke and I had to turn back, in the mist of all that mishap and I do understand, I had to be charged a day for no-​show, np. I did drive down and decided to inspect the place and room before staying perhaps a next time. No Hilton, but OK.
A month later I decided to come down again,
this time for 4 nights. Ok price, I liked the room I saw and –dock space. We even talked friends of ours to book rooms as well. It turns out Sherry was the front clerk there when I arrived, Sherry, very pleasant, she even remembered showing me the room before, and after a little chat, she decided to forgo the $ 25 per day dock fee, as a sign of good gesture that I had returned. She printed the dock permit with a –0– balance and I took it to the «dock manager» which by the way, are superb people with excellent service, they run their own boat rental operation in the rear by the water. The owner himself was there so I gave him the –0– receipt, he was very informative as professional.
We had a good stay. No major issues but we were mostly out boating. Day before checking out I noticed there was a charge of $ 107.00 from the hotel on my AX card. Thinking it was a mistake, kindly I took it to the office. I spoke to Sheryl. Unbeknownst to me, Sherry, I was told, was no longer an employee and had not been acting «accordingly». The hotel would not accept her decision. That previous evening the night auditor regardless of my receipt, went ahead and posted $ 107.00 charges (for dock fees). Sheryl said she could not do anything herself, but would speak to the night auditor. To make a long story short, yup, night auditor refused to take off the $ 107.00 charges, as the hotel owner. Is one perhaps supposed to call the owner at this Days Inn before registering for a stay to verify your charges are approved?
Mind you, it’s not the $ 107.00 I am upset about, but the lack of professionalism as poor ethical behavior which travelers as I, so blindly place our trust in.
I have witnesses. I have the dock manager which I handed the –0– receipt to, I have front desk employees in agreement that the hotel actions are wrong, no avail. You be the judge. How would you feel if this happened to you? This is a place I definitely do not trust. This to me, explains their reviews. Beware, Stay at your own risk.

Zero stars might be better; booked for New Years/​Morada Bay Full Moon party WITH a confirmation number. Hotel claimed they could not find the reservation, then when shown the email confirmation number offered nothing but «we do not have a room for you» & we can try to make a reservation somewhere for you (and we would have to pay). Then blamed it on the guy they fired a few days ago who booked us a room next month. Only compensation offered was a 20% discount on our next stay. Stayed at CALUSA resort down the road that was actually pretty nice and waterside.

Nice people at front desk unfortunately the room was the dirtiest, most unhealthy room you could ask to stay at! Stains all over the ceilings and the fridge smells like someone left fish bait in it for a year. The walls had a hundred dents from what appeared to be someone flicking quarters or bottle caps. Couches were covered in stains?, and a few of the bed pillows were yellow. This would be fine for a few college kids looking to party and trash the place. For a family I recommend going somewhere else.

The one star designation is given to this hotel is out of charity. We stayed here because of the hotels close proximity to a wedding and also because every other hotel was booked. Check in time was four o’clock and the wedding we attended also started at the same time. We called ahead to inquire if we can check in earlier to get dressed and ready for the wedding. Hotel said it would accommodate us and would have a room ready upon arrival. We arrived around 2:30 and the room wasn’t ready. We informed the front desk about calling during the week prior to our arrival to avoid this situation and instead they pointed out the lobby bathroom we can use to get ready. They claimed the hotel room would be ready before the wedding and it was not. The women working the front desk is rude and unprofessional. I asked if the room was ready at 3:30 and her reply was check in time is 4:00 o’clock and walked away from me. The manager finally stepped in and apologized and gave us extra towels. Hooray for towels! We all got dressed in the lobby bathroom and in the courtyard. Please keep in mind while we are voicing our extreme disappointment people are checking in. We are guest waiting for our room to be ready and instead of providing service by prepping our room they didn’t. The hotel accommodations are old and need to be updated. The beds are are uncomfortable and bathroom smelled unusual. This is definitely a hotel of last resort. Stay away if you can.

We booked this place online. Huge mistake. Paid about 200 on Christmas eve and this place is worth about 30. Dirty, not updated at all, badly painted, rotting around the ac, the mattress was so bad that we couldn’t sleep. We packed up and left at about 5 am and went home. The beach or waterfront is a joke. It’s about 10 feet of sand and that’s it. I wanted to run as soon as I saw the place but stayed because it was Christmas eve and I suspected everything would be full. But in hindsite I should have left immediately. Don’t stop here. Sad that days inn corporation doesn’t do something about it.

Booked through expedia. They literally laughed at me for the rate I got said next time call. I was charged 150 a night more than what days inn was offering. They put us in the courtyard rooms because we traveled with a pet and refused to give us an ocean side view, even though they had plenty of empty rooms. The room they gave us for the rate was ridiculous. This is price gouging at its worse. My wife and I both after 6 hours of sleep had to leave. The springs cut right through you. Avoid at all cost if you suffer from any discomfort, this place will send you to a back specialist.

By far the worst hotel I have ever been to. Our friends booked the room for us here as we needed to be near a boat marina. Their boat ramp is terrible. We have a 21.5 foot boat and the ramp was so badly made that the bottom of our ramp hit the floor and scratched it. We were forced to take out the boat at a different marina because we couldn’t take it back out.
Then the worst part about this was their hotel rooms. We found pubic hair on the floor in the bathroom, then found some in the shower. They have a terrible cleaning service and standard for any hotel. And on top of this, they were charging $ 140 per night. This hotel should be $ 30 a night. It’s a dump. Then we pulled down the bed to go to sleep and found small hairs inside the bed sheets as well. It’s was absolutely disgusting. This was the last straw. We then called the manager and told them about it. They told us that they could not move us to another room but offered to refund the credit card charge and we could leave. Well that was nice of them but it was said with a rude attitude. So we then packed up our stuff and went calling all hotels in Islamorada at 9:30pm on a Friday night. Most hotels were booked but then finally found Cheeca Lodge that had a room for us. Thank god. Cheeca Lodge was beautiful, comfortable and clean.
I later told a local that lives in Islamorada about my horrible experience at Days Inn and they told me that Days Inn is the worst hotel in the Keys. Stay away from this over priced dirty hotel. Inspectors should really take a look at this place and shut it down. And boaters beware of their horrible boat ramp. Your trailer will be ruined.

I called for a late check in. When I arrived early in the morning I was surprised to find out that they considered a no show and that there was a possibility that I could not get my room until 4 pm.
As well I would be charged a higher rate for the remaining nights of my stay. When I told the gentleman that I was quoted and paid a lower rate his response was «if you want to wait around until we go through all of our paperwork for an hours or so to save $ 10. That’s ok»
Really that’s the best offer you have after canceling my room while charging me. Thanks for your great customer service! Hahaha.
Obviously this shoddy operation is not so interested in their online presence. After the fact I read the other reviews and I’m pretty sure you can rely on those reviews. Is it piling on to mention that the gentleman at the front desk had his shirt buttoned up a hole off

ZERO STARS!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
We paid $ 180/​night, it’s worth only $ 30/​night. Stay at a Motel6!!! Major health and safety issues! Raw sewage leaking from pipes falling on people and their cars! Dirtier than a campground cabin! Complaints did nothing except bring a drunk maintenance guy to the room with a lightbulb who wanted to stay and chat! The floors were covered in dog hair and dirt grime on tile. Towels stained and had hair stuck to them. Not enough towels for a family of 4 as reserved for. The continental breakfast was non-​existent and was only from 8 – 9:30am, so forget it if you have early plans like diving. No fruit or juice, and the limited number of tables were covered in others trash. The beach is horrible, unless all you want to do is try fishing.
No response from the owner! But no worries, I’ll be calling the FL Chamber of Commerce, BBB, and Days Inn Directly to have all their licenses revoked and a sizable credit back to my card as I refused to sign the credit slip as I do not agree to pay what was charged!

Terrible service got turned away cause husband wasn’t here to sign agreement then they want an extra 100 dollars down on the room which they never told me about to much hassle just to lay my head! Never coming here again!

I live in ft. Lauderdale and went down to the keys for a days get away… It;‘s always relaxing to visit the Keys… Instead of driving the 2 hours back, we decided to stay the night and have breakfast by the water. BIG MISTAKE coming here. We did get a «discount» rate of 129 $ which was chafing enough. Now comes the good? stuff.
The wallpaper is coming off from the top of the walls in small sections. Our Oceanfront room looks out at the tree tops with a slice of water view which is really nice. but not direct. The tub floor joint has enough caulk to hold down the linoleum.
When we opened the bedside table drawer to look for phone book a small black bug ran off into the faux bamboo. No phone book, but a Gideon bible. Pray for morning I guess. Mattress: shy couples will be pleased by the boat hull shaped hard lumpy surface as you will certainly meet in the middle. No safety lock on the door, but you could see where someone forced it open and sheared the thing off. AC was cold and assisted in decreasing the old carpet odors. Was going to call the front desk to ask for another room but the phone does not work either. Man ! dont stay here… No beach, just a small harbor for ski boats. Just a rocky coast.

I wouldn’t give them a half a star! I did not stay here! I booked my flight with Expedia walked in to my room and walked right out. It smelt of feces! Stains every where! Bugs in the shower! Some oily substances all over the floors and walls. It was disgusting and it is not water front. There is no beach. Don’t stay here! It’s not even worth 40 bucks a night!

If there was a way to leave ½ a star that’s what I would have given this dump. I know what you’re thinking, it’s a days inn what’d you expect? But hell to the no, I’m telling you this location has set a new low for crappy motel standard lodging.
$ 200/​night for a room I only needed for 8 hours since we checked in late, but the front desk couldn’t accommodate a discount since they can’t think for themselves. Soon as we got in the room you’re hit with a funk smell that could knock you out. A combination of dirty carpets (both smells & stains), a family of «short & curlies» in the tub, a balcony that you actually share with your neighbors with no dividing wall. Not to mention two dead worms we found inside too & blood on the inside of the door (hopefully from some previous guest swatting a fly)
I could keep going, but I’ll keep it simple, if you have no place to stay, plus they were to offer you a room here for free — sleep in your car instead!
Dont have a car? Sleep on the damn beach! You have been warned, which is what I would have wished for me but I was the first to review.
