On a recent cross-country trip, our tandem bike chain broke. We had it repaired, but the mechanic said the dérailleur was bent and would cause problems. He could repair in in four hours, but since we were just traveling through, we couldn’t wait that long. At our Key Largo destination, we found this little shop to fix the dérailleur. Bill found it wasn’t a problem with the dérailleur, but the axle on the rear wheel. It was something missed by all the other mechanics, including the one at home who was supposed to tune up the bike before our big trip. The tandem worked flawlessly after that. It’s primarily a pawn shop, but had great service fixing our bike up. It only took under two hours.
