I think there is some confusion here. The Key Largo Inn at the address listed is not a Travelodge. In any case, I stayed six nights at the Key Largo Inn. I had none of the problems other reviewers have mentioned. I saw not a single bug, bed or otherwise, the entire time. Could it use a little cosmetic work? Sure. There’s some cracked tiles in the bathroom and the rooms have drop ceilings. But come on! Six nights cost about $ 460. You just can’t beat that. The place is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and there’s abundant hot water for showers. The owner and the woman at the front desk I dealt with were kind enough to let me check in a bit early to my room; after being in the same clothes for thirty hours, I could have kissed them. They were nothing but pleasant and helpful throughout my stay The Inn is within easy walking distance of several reasonably good restaurants, as well as a Starbucks and Divers Direct, a huge scuba equipment store. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay without a lot of frills for a reasonable price, this is the place.

The paint on the walls was peeling but that can be overlooked; however, what was intolerable was the room being infested with bed bugs. I woke up the next morning covered in bites. Save yourself the hassle and spend the extra money on a decent hotel.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. First of all, I was attacked by bed bugs on the first night which gave me 47 bites. We had to transfer rooms but we still didn’t get any sleep because the walls are paper thin. The neighbor kept his TV on all night and we had to buy earplugs because of that. We told the manager to tell the neighbor to turn it down but he only knocked twice and left. We had to take matters in our own hands. You are better off sleeping in your car or paying more for a decent hotel.

This place is creepy and gross. The fact that this«hotel» or motel or whatever costs more than $ 100 per night is slightly insulting. No one should be paying more than $ 70MAX to stay here. The person at the front desk is incredibly rude and definitely not welcoming. The reservations were made under my mother-in-laws name but my parent’s were staying there. It took a good 20 minutes of him«verifying» that this was okay with my mother-in-law even though my parent’s would be paying anyways. HOW on earth would we know whose name the reservation is under if this hadn’t been planned out to begin with??? Food for thought. This isn’t the Ritz Carlton, dude, trust me. Needless to say, no one but my parent’s slept at this place. They didn’t even shower there. Eeekk! This is the kind of place where you keep your flip flops on, sleep with your clothes, and move on the next day. Look elsewhere, I promise it will be worth it.

Not even worth a star! DON’T BOTHER! Road noises excessive can hear every passing vehicle on 2 lane highway. Not enough noise from a/c and heavy curtains to block traffic noise. Dated beds and bathroom, paint far from fresh. Two twin beds, no chairs, no desk, tv tube type, really ycchhhhh

I found and booked this motel through the app which lists the address as 99201 Overseas Hwy. I’m not sure whether this place is affiliated with Travelodge because I don’t think the Travelodge site lists this motel. My friend and i were looking for a place to crash at the last minute that would put us near snorkeling/diving companies in the morning and closer to returning to Miami. This place was the cheapest and it shows. We parked in a gravel lot between the motel and Verizon store to check in. A nice older man checked us out, showed us where the free WiFi password was in the room and where the complementary breakfast was in the morning. We moved the car to the lot and settled in for the night. The rooms are accessed from the outdoors. Our room was old and run down, but adequate. The bathroom light wasn’t working very well so we called the front desk and the man who checked us in came up to fix it. He had to make a few trips, but grabbed 2 matching fluorescent lights. After that I could see how the tub was scratched up, the paint was peeling, and there was some mold/rust on the edge of the door where it attached to the wall. The motel is located right off Hwy 1 so it’s pretty noisy with trucks. The window drapes were pretty heavy and blocked light pretty well… or I just woke up really early. The front desk closes from 11pm — 7am. There is an outdoor pool. I didn’t test out the WiFi. The complementary breakfast is limited — muffins, bananas with lots of brown spots, bottled juices, tea, coffee. This place is good if you’re on a budget and just need a place to sleep.

A little run-down and noisy with trucks on highway 1, we found the Key Largo Inn to be perfectly adequate for the $ 70 we paid. Good for travelers on a budget. Would not recommend for families with young kids bc of hwy and un-supervised pool.
