Lucy is a fabulous stop in route to or from the Florida Keys! Great atmosphere with a trendy menu but our Jaeger Schnitzel was a true stand out. The mushroom gravy was delicious. I also have to give a high rating for the unique and tasty Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower appetizer — yum! I was too full to enjoy dessert but did take the Almond Crescents to go and at midnight they were the most amazing snack. Super clean and fantastic service.

Fantastic food! The pulled pork bao was AMAZING. I can’t be sure because it was my first time here but I’m willing to bet they make their own rolls. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. The portions are small but they are surprisingly filling. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling through the Keys. Just don’t bring your dog in, because unless it’s a true service dog, it has no business in a restaurant. «He goes everywhere with us» is not an acceptable response to «I’m sorry we don’t allow dogs in our restaurant.» Looking at you back corner table.

Yum — something for everyone from a particular 9 year old(pulled pork bao buns) to our Chinese exchange student(Wiener schnitzel) to our newly health conscious son(Brussels sprouts and a pretzel) to my husband and myself-excellent German Weissbeer and a split order of the chicken and an apple strudel. Great service, great food from a German chef = happy family.

German beer in Key Largo? Already four stars. Providence vibe inside, great buns and astounding cucumbers. Sounds weird, right? Check it out and decide for yourself.

The best in the keys, what a great meal, the schnitzel Milanese, short –rib po boy, the ribs & cornbread were all delicious. For dessert the doughnuts were also really good.

ABSOLUTELYOUTSTANDING! At first when we pulled up I thought it was an old ice cream shop or something and you had to order from the window. I had my friend go in to look at the menu and she came back to the car with it. I couldn’t believe my eyes, it was nothing like what i had expected. Between us we ordered the grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce, the Brussel sprouts & califlower(amazing), the cornbread, fries & pulled pork. Everything was beyond outstanding! We finished it off by taking a piece of blueberry crumb pie to go… If this were my last meal, I’d be thrilled that I made the right choice. It truly cannot be missed.

Delicious and Super fresh and healthy. Great vegetarian options. I had the cauliflower and brussel sprouts – delicious!!! I have no idea how they cook the sprouts but this is the very best tasting way I have ever had them(and I LOVE brussel sprouts and have had lots of them). The asparagus BAO was absolutely yummy. Everything was super fresh and the best quality. Pie for dessert! Had to have it since it was right there at the entrance when I walked into the restaurant. Great pie and even better whipped cream – all homemade, all fresh and tasty. Looking forward to my next visit.

Unbelievable. Not enough good things can be said about the food at Lucy. We stopped in mostly due to the Unilocal reviews and were not disappointed. We had the pretzel, french fries, chicken bao(more like a taco) and sliders with the egg on top. We weren’t sure about the food quality based on the empty tables when we walked in, but it turned out to be a lucky break. Great food, worth the stop.

Tis a little place on the side of the road but they have solid craft beer options and the food is delicious. We’re really glad we stopped in.

The best meal that I have had in Kay Largo. This place is in a completely different league then other establishments in the area! The cuisine seems to be a little on the unusual side, meaning that you have some German food and some that are Asian inspired, just an interesting mix that makes you scratch your head and wonder what one has to do with the other… but it doesn’t matter, because everything was soooo good! We ordered the pretzel, Brussels sprouts, and the pulled pork and buffalo chicken bao baos. The Brussels sprouts were spicy, salty, and fabulous. The pretzel had the perfect combination of crunch and softness. The bao baos were both very flavorful and obviously fresh. For meals we had the ribs, the chicken and donuts, and Lucy’s sliders. The weakest one were the ribs and even then they were good. I just prefer traditional ribs, these had minimal sauce and while still flavorful they just weren’t what I ended up wanting. The sliders were delicious; juicy, flavorful, and simple. The chicken and donuts were phenomenal; the chicken was drumettes cooked in a very tangy sauce and the donuts were plain glazed donut holes(munchkins) that were still warm and delicious! I had 2 glasses of the Malbec and the boys had German beer. For dessert we had the blueberry pie which was good… but the one that made me fall in love was the frozen chocolate hazelnut parfait… OMFG I debated on whether posting anything about it because I don’t want it to sell out!!! It’s basically like an ice cream log; chocolate ice cream, with candied hazelnut pieces which give it a nice flavoring and texture, and then a powdered chocolate ganache… The staff were amazing! Friendly, attentive, quick, answered questions and made great suggestions! We will be back!!!

That buffalo chicken bao tho! Everthing was good, but the buff chix was on point. Possibly best ever; the chicken was perfectly fried and paired nicely with the carrots, bun and bleu. The fish and chips was second best. Atmosphere was good, music was Great, lighting was harsh«daylight» CFL so I felt like I was in a tool shed(needs to be warmer). Bathroom on the side was weird… The place was an old gas station(why the hell did gas stations put the bathrooms on the side anyway?).

Lucy’s was a great casual spot for lunch. They have a lot of vegetarian options including some pretty awesome veggie steam buns, delicious Brussel sprout and cauliflower medley, grilled asparagus, etc. The space leaves a bit to be desired but the food makes up for it.

A wonderful, pleasant surprise. We decided to stop in while on the road and were blown away by the creativity of the menu, and more importantly, with just how delicious our selections were. After much debate(given the many appealing options), we decided to try the chicken wings with donut holes and a stuffed pork tenderloin special. Both entrees were outstanding, to put it mildly. We followed dinner with the Bavarian cream dessert(as if the donut holes weren’t quite enough) and, as expected, they delivered yet again. Lucy is an absolute must try. You won’t be disappointed!

What a wonderful surprise in a tucked away location along the main highway. Drove through Key Largo on the way to Key West and got so hungry we needed to stop for a bite to eat. Unilocal to the rescue! Lucy completed exceeded our expectations. Delicious and wonderful blend of flavors — must try: local brews on top brussels & cauliflower — perfection chicken & donuts — a cross between southern fried chicken, korean BBQ& a vietnamese spice with an asian pineapple sauce shortribs — falling off the bone The service was friendly and fast. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Keys!

Weird, cool place, and yummy! Certainly doesn’t look like much on the outside, and the interior isn’t particularly cozy, but the drink selection is really interesting and everything we ordered was delicious. It is a strange mix of Asian flavors, German dishes, and barbecue. Somehow it works. Excellent stop!

We discovered Lucy’s on Unilocal when we were looking for something different than the usual fare in Key Largo. What a great find! The restaurant is only 8 months old but based on their great food and service they should be here a long time. I am GF so it is always an adventure when I try a new place. Our waitress was Sharon(daughter of the owner) and she could not have been more helpful navigating the menu for me. The food is mainly German cuisine so I went with the Bratwurst and sauerkraut and a side of red cabbage witch they had on special. Best red cabbage I have had since a trip to Prague. I highly recommend it if they have it. I had a fantastic GF Passionfruit cider which I will look for back home. We ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were awesome. My wife had the goulash and loved it. Easy to find on Overseas Hwy. We will definitely come back!

These guys are the perfect stop en route to Key West. I found them using my trusty Unilocal app and as always, the reviews did not steer me wrong. Located in Key Largo along the infamous US-1 highway, this cozy restaurant has everything you need to get re-energized for the remainder of your drive to Key West. When I pulled up, there was some seating outside but the heat was a bit much that day so I headed inside. Upon entering, there’s a display of desserts and treats to tempt you and serve as a reminder that every meal deserves a sweet ending. I made a mental note to circle back at the end of the meal. I took a seat at the bar area and struck up a convo with the waiter. We chatted about the menu — what was popular and what was new. He was exceptionally personable and made my dining experience all the better. They offer a few local beers on tap and other local and mainstream bottled beers. There was also a small selection of wines. Since I was stopping at the local breweries on my drive, I stuck with water which was probably some of the best water I’ve had from a restaurant ever. It was the first time I ever considered asking about their water filtration system lol I went with their chicken and donuts which is their take on chicken and waffles. The mini chicken drumsticks were tossed in a mild Thai sauce with scallions and peppers where the meat fell off the bone when it was touched with the fork. The combination of the salty from the chicken and the sweetness from the mini donut holes were the perfect combination. This meal had more than enough for me to enjoy alone. I’d be hard pressed to share if I were with someone else. The meal also served as a two-fer since I didn’t need any dessert afterwards. This meant a nice, surprising savings for me which had me doing a little happy dance inside. Stop off at Lucy’s for surprising dishes with a modern twist. You won’t be disappointed.

Omg! You MUST go here! For those that want something a little different than the constant seafood fare you find in the keys, this delicious gastro pub is perfect! The food(and beer) has a strong German influence. Think cheesy spätzle, schnitzel, plus veggies disguised in delicious flavors. The Brussels sprouts and cauliflower is out of this world!

I think the food was fantastic and the establishment quite cool. That said… Why the 3 stars? The service was sub par. The place was busy and I understand food service can get hectic. It takes a Lot for me to lose patience. However, this place tested that. Two parties were seated and served before us when clearly we arrived first. I’m always thinking and giving the benefit of the doubt, but when thinking back to the dining experience as a whole … Unsatisfactory. Besides being seated late… it took them a while to bring us a menu after seating us late. They didn’t take our order for even longer. It was busy, but not so busy that we had to wait the length we did. I honestly think the waitress and the waiter didn’t like us. At least, that is the vibe we got. Honestly though, if they have the customer base, the locals love it, and they are making a profit… Good for them! Serve and enjoy the customers they like. I have no problem with that. They weren’t rude to us in any way, just substandard service. Would I come back? Maybe, but it’s not a resounding yes. We had the spatzel, pretzels, cornbread, short rib bun, fish and chips bun, and the Monroe county slider. The pretzels and sliders were our favorite. Pictures to come. Thanks, but no thanks.
