Had the opportunity to stop here today while traveling back from the keys. Glad I did, because I am going to go here on each trip down moving forward! Best food in the keys, hand down. Also, had the pleasure of meeting Doc himself. Awesome guy who sat down and had some conversation with us while we enjoyed some great food. You have to try the train wrecker! Hands down, best omelette I have ever had. EVER! Serious, great food and friendly staff here. Only thing I would change, is how Doc places whip cream on their famous key lime pie!

Nothing fancy — just a welcoming old-school diner atmosphere filled with locals — but fast, friendly service and outstanding breakfast food. This was our first visit, but we will be back whenever we are next in Key Largo. The Tropical French Toast, topped with bananas, pecans and coconut, was delicious!

Long time keys resident. Used to love the local flavor and friendliness. Went by to meet a friend today, and was told in no uncertain terms that I was not allowed to put and extra chair at a table. Not«Sir, could we help with seating, but loudly«You can’t sit there.» in a very loud and rude voice. I have know the owners for years and feel that they would not be happy with this behavior. I was not blocking any walk way or aisle. I have many family members and friends in Key Largo, and have always recommended local businesses to out of town guests. In the future, I will make it a point to steer them to some of the other business which still appreciates locals and treat elderly and handicapped people with respect.

We first heard about the place due to being featured on a Triple D episodes of Miami restaurants. With the word Diner in the name of the joint, Triple D has to visit! From then on, it was on our Bucket List. We finally went in 2012 on a day excursion from Miami(it’s in Key Largo). It’s not too far of a drive but a fun mini road trip if you have kids or guests in town. The food there is legendary! Small town diner vibe, clean, and friendly staff. The food seems scratch made and not trying to be anything but great food. Large portions, so you may have to take home. Our 2nd visit was more recent, early 2016 and it was just as good. The place was not as busy, maybe the buzz died a little, but we did go around Brunch time. The Belgium Waffles… PERFECTION.

I am blown away by their breakfast. The pancakes are large and fluffy. The hash browns are amazing. I love coming here. Fast service and good food. Also, good prices.

Order the biscuits and sausage gravy. Everything was cold. One big plate of cold sludge. Told the waitress at checkout. Tried to be understanding. Told her I work in the industry and I know these things happen. She said said sorry $ 16.48 please. … The eggs were good.

I came here hoping for a good breakfast before our big snorkeling day, but was disappointed… The hash brown skillet was not made with care. Instead of an oozy mix of cheese and veggies, the veggies and cheese were just tossed on top and not mixed in. And the potatoes tasted off, and there were no seasonings. I didn’t want to finish it and will get a yogurt back at my hotel. My mother’s dish looked no-frills and she said her side of potatoes was poor too.

Not fancy but probably the best breakfast in key largo. Good service. Cheap. Casual. I had the huevos rancheros…

Great little breakfast and lunch spot in Key Largo! Stopped by here on the way home from the Keys with a group of 7 right at 12pm and in spite of the place looking very busy we were seated right away and they took care of us. Huge menu with lots of great looking, CHEAP, large-portion items! Ended up going with the chicken fried steak which came with 2 eggs, hash browns, and toast for only 7.99! Delicious classic diner food at an awesome price. Definitely would eat here again.

Excellent from the moment we walked in. The place was packed and they quickly added us to the list for a table. Considering it was one of the waitresses doing this while running food it was very nice. This place is a well oiled machine. Food comes out within 10 minutes of ordering even if the place is packed. It was delicious! Truly, I thought we would be there for over and hour and we were here for 30 – 45 minutes.

Great place to get breakfast or lunch in Key Largo! Located in mile marker 99 that diner provides delicious meals for cheap prices. I have had their breakfast items like the chicken fried steak with 2 eggs over easy, hash browns, white toast, and a bowl of grits. The steak was fried to perfection and it was tender and juicy. I also tried the pancakes and they were fluffy and Delicious and so was the waffles that are made to order. The cup of coffee is good and bottomless! The place has several booths and tables as well as are counter with several stools. The service was and food was quick. The staff were friendly. Small parking lot to park your car.

We found Doc’s a little over 3 years ago at the recommendation of a local down in Key Largo and we make the trip down from Miami at least two times a month for their breakfast and a day out on the water. Everything from the waffles to the biscuits and gravy are spectacular. Especially in-season, get there early! But its worth the wait! Friendly and warm staff, small town atmosphere with breakfast«like grandma would make!»

My Fiancée and I stopped by this morning to Doc’s Diner. We frequent the Keys and usually go to Harriet’s for breakfast(Which is great). Today we decided to change it up and went to Doc’s. If you are looking for a good old American breakfast with friendly fast service Doc’s does it. Service was great(and even though it’s hard to mess up breakfast) so was the food. My fiancée had pancakes and I had eggs sunny side up with hash browns and bacon with toast. I also ordered a bowl of grits. The servers always made sure your coffee mug was full and made you feel at home. We were also surprised how large the menu was. They have a variety of options for lunch and dinner. They also have an Italian Tuesday night. Don’t forget to vote for Doc’s cavs. He’s alway a contestant in the upper Keys best legs contest! Four stars for Doc’s.

Breakfast places in Key Largo tend to only cater to the sweet tooth. This review is only on the more savory items. However nothing was very savory about the watery goo that was served to us this fine morning. First, the hash brown casserole was reminiscent of a green bean casserole… Same canned space-food ingredients but instead of beans it was frozen hashbrowns. Don’t get this if you think it’s a kitschy remake of a comfort food. It really is just a can of soup mixed with hashbrowns and covered in cheese. The eggs were of low quality… Perhaps powdered. I asked for cheese on them and was surprised to have so much gooey cheese that I couldn’t tell where the eggs were. It was unbelievable how much cheese the cook put into the eggs. My husband got Benedict. It was okay. The regular hashbrowns were fine. The coffee was good. Server was abrupt and no smiles but seemed to have a good rapport with the staff. No one noticed that I didn’t touch my breakfast. That made me sad. My best advice in Key Largo for breakfast is to make your own.

Great place fir breakfast(haven’t tried the lunch yet). The plates had a generous portion. The waffle was just off tha hook good. The Mediterranean omelette was great too. The place is really busy but don’t be intimidated by the wait, it moves really fast and the prices are good too. Enjoy, we Will definitely come back again AAA+++

This food is DELICIOUS! I would give them 10 stars if I could! We were able to sit right down on a Monday morning! Just be mindful it is A LOT of food! Sadly we couldn’t take our left overs back to our hotel, or I would totally save it for later! My husband and I order scrambled eggs with cheese and the hash-brown casserole-both cooked perfectly! I would HIGHLY recommend splitting the hash-brown casserole. We also were able to get turkey sausage links. I ordered the tropical waffle. My husband ordered a short stack. Their homemade waffle/pancake recipe is really good! Service was also excellent! You shouldn’t be disappointed!

Excellent breakfast but be prepared to wait. But it is so worth it! We ordered a variety of item and all were good: Tropical French Toast — smothered in bananas and shredded coconut. It was a tad dry but better when we asked for some whipped cream 4 Pairs w/ham steak — perfectly prepared. Ham steak was asked to be well down and it was perfect. Hash brown casserole — for me this was the taste winner. It was seasoned to perfection and so yummy and cheesy! Bacon — crispy as requested. Yum Coffee — very good cup of Joe here Price — price was on point and good value Service — although busy the staff were all friendly and helpful and kept the water and coffee cups full. I fully recommend this place!
