Nice upper keys dockside bar. Has live music on weekends. Great ambiance. Food is pretty good. Both the fish tacos & fish sandwich were excellent. Drinks are also pretty darn good. This is always a stop either entering or leaving the Keys.

Best food I’ve had in the Keys so far! The jerk chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had and the Snapper is also amazing. Service was excellent, atmosphere was very relaxed.

For a tiki bar, this place is classy. I guess that’s why it’s so overpriced. That being said, their key lime pie is handmade with real toasted meringue on top. And even the locals love the conch fritters. For an historic local drink with tropical flair, order a rum runner on the rocks. Plus points for being walking distance to where The African Queen is docked!

Love this place, relaxing view and vibe with live music. Friendly attentive staff, with an affordable menu and craft beers on tap. Try the key lime pie!

Last night I dined at Skipper’s for the third time. All experiences were great! This restaurant is right on the water and features both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is my favorite and features a large bar covered by a massive tiki hut. There is even a sandy«beach» area with a fire pit, corn hole and the hook game. Two times I was here at night and they had live music! Typically it’s Jimmy Buffet, Zac Brown type music. My favorite for the Keys! The service was friendly and on point. When we asked for suggestions our server gave great advice. The food was served hot and it was very tasty. We were so hungry we dove in and I did t even get to snap a picture! If you are visiting Key Largo this is definitely a great place to grab a drink and a bite.

We stopped for lunch on a rainy afternoon on our way back to Miami Airport. Friendly service at the outdoor bar and good food. The crab/lobster cake was a generous portion. Lots of outdoor seating. I’m sure this place gets poppin’ on a nice day. Definitely would recommend! The inside of the restaurant has been beautifully done. The nicest restaurant interior of our trip to the Keys!

Very impress with the service and the food. Had dinner here for the first time and would come every-night if i could. I had the snapper and so did my wife. Mouthwatering. The drinks were good and for us we had very good service. Loved setting out on the deck and watching the boats pass by. We walked over from the Courtyard. BTW great views.

Stopped here after a snorkel trip and were extremely happy with our dinner! Everything came out quickly and the staff were all friendly and efficient. Ordered the nachos to start because we were very hungry(fun fact, they are potato chip based and awesome) and we each ordered sandwiches — the Mahi(blackened was awesome) and the Jerk Chicken(really gooey on amazing thick bread). I loved the sweet potato fries as well — they are sweet potato waffle fries and some of the best I’ve had. The view as lovely and sitting outside is the best idea. There was also a wonderful musician, who played some great songs.

Great location. Great service. Great food. Reasonable prices. There are even 2 corn hole(beanbags?) games set up, some other games, and few fire pits to hangout if you don’t want to eat but don’t want to sit at the bar. Some unique drinks and dishes. Food has been good every time I have gone… flat bread pizza, sandwiches, wings all have been good with no issues. This is my new go to place to take visitors when they come see me in the keys!

Really really good Bahamas-style red conch chowder. Very good mahi-mahi sandwich. Average on the Philly cheesesteak flatbread(a little soggy), and very very good bread pudding with ice cream. Now if you are abroad pudding snob their’s may not make you happy, but it is a really tasty dish. The atmosphere is nice, good live music. Prices are typical of Key Largo, a bit high but not out of sight. A really really good place to hang out and have dinner outdoors.

The food was just A-Ok. I had fish tacos and their conch fritters. Overpriced. Not bad tasting but not great tasting either. Frankly was disappointed after reading the hype on Unilocal. However it does have a great atmosphere to chill if you are in the area. I would not however come here to just get a tasting of the menu.

We ate at Skippers 4 times on an 8 night visit to Key Largo. We kept going back because it is excellent. It’s really casual like everything else in the area, but they serve top-quality food and all of the servers were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The place is fairly new and beautiful. You can see that they put a lot of thought(and money) into designing and building it. It’s in a lovely setting in a marina. We ordered fish specials, a burger, ceviche, salads and more. Everything was great. Even the sides, like the french fries and coleslaw were a little special. They put extra thought into every detail. I’ve posted a photo of the snapper entrée.

Went to Key Largo for the afternoon and stopped by at Skipper’s for lunch. Let me first say I was scared because most of the Keys have older establishments and not well kept. But Skipper’s was modern, homey and super clean. Even the bathroom! The place is super cute, we went at midday and were seated right away on the dock per our request. But if you come one day when there is a wait there is an area you can sit by a fire pit or play corn hole while you wait which was cool. We started with the conch fritters which were amazing! I would actually come back just for that. They had this special relish that was to die for. The jerk chicken nachos were great. Huge portion. Instead of tortilla chips they were fresh crispy potato chips. Chicken had a great jerk flavor and was full of cheese and a sour cream sauce that was divine. We also shared the calamari. This dish had mix reviews with my party. Super fresh calamari but it came with an asian sauce that I thought was perfect. But my party said they would of preferred if it was on the side so it didn’t make the calamari soggy. But we ate it nevertheless lol. Great atmosphere and good food! Definitely a spot to visit if your in the area. (Unfortunately we were starving and we didn’t picture any of the food SORRY)

Skippers was a great little place. My buddy and I went here by accident. It was adjacent to our hotel and we went for a walk. Looking up, we had walked onto the outside bar of skippers. We both had mixed drinks. Both were about 12 bucks and decent. What you would expect. The service was friendly and attentive. We ended up coming back here again later in the night and it was just as great. The best part of this place, granted it is November in Key Largo, was its ambiance. It was relaxed and quiet. Just what we were looking for in Key Largo. There was a woman playing jazz guitar in the corner and she was great. The quiet breezy evening was complimented well by strong drinks, excellent service and that Key Largo state of mind. I would go back.

The last time I was here it was called Coconuts so I was very pleasantly surprised to see this place totally renovated. The interior is very nice and would be a great place to watch a game as they have loads of massive TVs. It would be a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the view of the ocean or even take a dip in the pool. However being it was noon in July and 1,000 degrees we opted for the AC inside. They have a GREAT selection of crafted & frozen cocktails and The Hangover Cure was a very fresh and tasty refresher from the heat outside. We started with the cerviche which was served in a coconut. This app was pretty good and I think the coconut actually enhanced the flavor. The food here is definitely pretty good. he wife had the seared Ahi Tuna salad which was delicious. The Ahi was cooked perfectly rare and was pretty generous with the portion. I had the Fish Tacos with blackened Mahi and I would say they were pretty awesome. I’d come back just for the Fish Tacos for sure. Overall this place has a great view, nice interior, and awesome food. I’ll have to add it to my rotation of places to visit while in the keys.
