So happy we stumbled upon this spot! Killer fish sandwiches and yummy fries. The key lime mayo was a great compliment to our fresh, blackened Mahi Mahi. Yum yummmmmmy!

Fun lil place. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Rough on the outside. Part of the charm.

Funky funky funky with awesome food is the best description I can give. Roosters roam around, this is open air dining. Tiki hut type roof — expect to get wet if it rains. Food is ordered from a counter by friendly staff. A small selection of beers and a smaller selection of wine. Menu is blackboard reflecting the fresh fishes of the day. Some sandwiches and some plates; fish is grilled, blackened, or fried. I tried both fried grouper and grilled Mahi. Excellent. Nothing fancy here. Paper and plastic, find a table or stool. Do have an appetizer as portions are not large, but ok. Salad, beans and rice, fries, onion rings and maybe something else as sides. This was my 3rd time here, and I will be back. This clearly a hole in the wall and not for everyone, but the food is the bomb! Prices are reasonable and appropriate for the portion size. They have music on some nights as well. And the lime — aide was refreshing.

B. O’s Fish Wagon has a cool back story and offers pretty good casual fare. There is a small menu with usual suspect options. I had the softshell crab which was okay. I liked the ambiance which is a shack built around an old food truck. For some reason, this seems to be the most popular rest stop for the famous Key West Roosters. I mean, they are everywhere. On tables, under your chair, hidden in the tree. There is a spray bottle handy for guests to use to keep them away from your food. Try it out for a casual meal.

Best fish I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to travel again, just to eat there. My whole family enjoyed the food there from the fish and chips to the creative scenery there. It was defiantly a unique place to eat and unexpected quality of food.

The World Famous Grouper Sandwich was definitely named that for a reason! Don’t let the funky fun shack vibe fool you, they don’t mess around when it comes to food. Any of the sandwiches are the way to go. Super fresh, soft, fluffy Cuban bread topped with whatever you want, and then crowned with a filet of lightly battered fish and secret sauce. The entire sandwich is phenomenal and compliments the flavor of the seafood without overpowering it in any way. The fries are pretty fantastic too!

My grilled fish sandwich was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of fish sandwiches. The bread and condiments match the texture and taste of the fish perfectly and were I to return to key west, I this would be my first stop.

Yummy, yummy, yummy is the Grouper sandwich! Bo’s is a local favorite, but now the tourist know about it!!! The place is small, yet has character. Your food is brought out to your seating area with a smile. While you wait the chickens/rooster entertains you. This place is a must eat in Key West!

Yes, this is a pricey shack to eat at, but definitely worth it! I keep having dreams of the onion rings… Great fish sandwich and fried conch, you can hear them cracking the conch in the kitchen, and see fishermen brining in fresh fish to the kitchen as well! Extremely friendly staff, who even gave my puppy hot dogs and water. My favorite was the fried shrimp… Make sure you try everything… and take a group you’re going to have to share!

Service: The staff was friendly and helped explain their menu. They walked us through their famous dish«Fried Grouper Sandwich» and other dishes. Food: We ordered the Conch Balls, Scuzzy Fries, Fried Grouper Sandwich, and the Grilled Mahi Mahi Sandwich. Pretty awesome seafood. The fish tasted fresh and it was freshly fried. The conch balls were a bit bland and the Scuzzy Fries are a fantastic side to get with both sandwiches. Ambiance: pretty unique environment, they turned a shack into a food shack with a fishery theme accented with license plates from all over. Make sure to check in for a 2 for 1 deal on the beer.

We went to BOs every Friday to hear music with Cuda and Kenny. Fish tacos were superb. I walked over last week just to get fish tacos. No music and it took ½ hour to get served. Something is different.

We came here at the recommendation of the fine folks at Blue Planet Kayak Tours, and it did not disappoint! We realized we walked past this place several times and never noticed it was there, but it turned out to be a great place. In the wake of the previous week’s Fantasy Fest activities, this place was deserted on a Tuesday night. The staff were all super friendly, to include the owner, who thanked us as we were leaving even though he was having his own meal and not working. Nice guy. We ordered the highlights from the menu: conch fritters, fish tacos, the grouper sandwich, and scuzzy fries. All excellent, and everything with a Key Lime twist, which I love. The conch fritters, on their own, were not the best we had. However, when paired with the two sauces, were excellent. I don’t know what is in the red sauce, but it is one of the most flavorful and complex things I’ve ever eaten. Layer upon layer of sweet, spicy, sour amazingness. It caused me to turn my head sideways like a curious dog. The grouper sandwich was delicious with a nice sauce and tender fish. Big, too. My wife’s fish tacos(hey, stop snickering!), were mellow yet complex with everything melding into a hot, sloppy, delicious mess.(I promise this paragraph is only inadvertently sexual). The only thing that didn’t fit in this mixture were the scuzzy fries. They’re good in their own right, but ultimately just chili fries. Whereas the rest of our meal was fried deliciousness that retained a light taste and feel – which one needs when eating outdoors in the legendary Key West humidity – the scuzzy fries were hot and heavy. They overpowered other favors to some extent. I’d suggest getting regular fries instead. If you don’t look closely, you might otherwise mistake it for a junkyard, but that only adds to this place’s inimitable charm and makes this place a perfect stop for a great quality meal for lunch or dinner.

We wanted to try their conch fritters, as they seemed to have good reviews. I must say they were some of the tastiest I have had. There were a couple of sauces — we really liked the orange remoulade-style sauce, but did not particularly enjoy the red bar-b-que type sauce. Seemed like everything on the menu was fried. I wish there would have been some non-fried options.

I got the 6 conch fritters which all had a good size to it, and they were very filled with conch! Some places just have batter, not here! I also got the Mahi Mahi sandwich which was very small and non flavorful, just tasted like fish. No season or anything! If your looking for a nice sit down establishment, this isn’t it! If you want to fit in with the locals and have that local«feel» this is your spot… I would only come back for the conch fritters, and take it to go. The prices are very expensive for what you get, especially the sandwich…

My friend and I decided to do our own conch fritter tasting around Key West and these were by far the best conch fritters we had. The conch fritters were huge and filled with lots of conch, somewhat dense but less of a hush puppy texture and more light and airy on the inside. The dipping sauces they served with them were also delicious and complimented them well. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu next time I’m in Key West!

This place is good. The food isn’t phenomenal but it’s decent. It was just a walk from the duval. I am happy we tried it out though. We had the conch fritters and conch soup. It was good. The service was also great. If it wasn’t so far off duval I think it would be a happening place.

The Unilocal reviews and the hotel room channel convinced me that I should go. We ended up eating there for our last dinner here. I of course, wanted the Grouper sandwich but they were out for the day so I ended up getting their fish of the day, Cajun style. The lady got the Chicken sandwich and she ordered the Scuzzy B.O.-which is chili cheese fries but it was worth it to hear the woman say ‘Scuzzy B.O.’ I thought my fish was cooked pretty well. I was a little worried about the Cajun style but I was told that if I didn’t like it I could get something else. I didn’t want anything else, and the the Scuzzy BO was pretty good-super heavy but good. I also got the Key Limeade and it was sweet, tart and cool. The food is good but I think because of BO’s notoriety the prices are a little inflated.

This review is going to touch on a few areas that get the five star approval from me and why this place is a must-stop whilst in Key West. First is the food, just the food. It is BOMB. I got conch fritters(12 pc) and a fish of the day sandwich the way the cashier thought would be best. I also had fries. The mahi mahi came out blackened and with key lime mayo on it. It went right into my gob and never got away. So. Freaking. Good. The conch fritters were tasty, nice spice, fat and the twelve piece was more generous. Two dipping sauces. Worth it. I also had an occult(?) beer — made in tequila barrels, also two thumbs way up. The fries were yum. My dad brought us here and I wished it had been on the first day of my trip so I Could’ve gone back again. Everyone was psyched about their food. Next I’ll say the guys that worked there were hot. Nothing I’d complain about if they weren’t but they all looked cute and charming and the food was so good. It wasn’t too much for me tho, I tougher it out. Then there’s the actual place. It’s like indoor, but it’s outdoor. There’s bands of chickens and chicks and roosters running amuck. Wild and free. On your table, past your feet. I loved them, they were cute. And there’s all these smashed phones and silly signs and business cards and stuff. It’s awesome. We rode out bikes and parked right outside. I would definitely say you have to go here if you like seafood. Very fresh. Very good. It was my fav spot to eat on key west.

I’ll admit, I didn’t come to this shack expecting to rack up a $ 50 bill for two for lunch but hey, that’s what we did and it was worth it. At 4pm, we didn’t have to wait in line or fight to find a place to sit. I heard they had one of the best fish sandwiches in the Keys so we both went with that. At «market price,» we learned when we were paying that they were $ 18 each… No turning back now! We were very hungry so decided to also get conch fritters and I grabbed a key lime-ade(with unlimited refills!) to drink. There’s not a ton of seating but we made our way around the counter to one alcove. After about ten minutes, our food arrived hot and ready to eat! Let’s start with the conch fritters, these were some of the best(if not THE best) I have ever had. You could see the pieces of conch and veggies that went into them. We ordered six but they’re so filling, probably would’ve been fine with just three as a «starter.» Now for the fish sandwich… Wow! The bread was the kind that didn’t cut your mouth up with every bite(always a blessing). The pricy piece of fish was cooked perfectly and topped with onion, tomato, lettuce and mayo. I added some Crystal because, well, everything is better with hot sauce. I don’t think either or us came up for air while we stuffed our faces. Maybe it was because we were starving, maybe it was because it was that good. I think it was probably both. Next time, I’ll try the soft shell crab sandwich. Oh yeah, that key lime-ade was pretty tasty. If you’re in more of a boozy mood, they have wine and beer(including Bahamian Kalik) to drink.
