Awesome Diner. Great Breakfast. Had the two egg breakfast with potatoes and a biscuit. Great Service.

Our favorite place every time we’re in town! Great local feel, with typical Keys atmosphere(which we love). Food is always consistent and very filling. No frills, it’s just breakfast and lunch done right. Their key lime pie French toast is a must-try and if you don’t have a sweet tooth, try their BELT. This is a cash-only place but they have an ATM so there’s no issue.

Less than pleased with Harpoon Harry’s. From the start, it wasn’t going so well. We walked in and there’s a sign that says to wait to be seated. So we stand there and wait. Two employees at the bar, knowing we are there waiting for seats, just look at us with no acknowledgement. After quite a long, awkward moment, one says, «would you like to be seated?» Well, duh. We got two glasses of water, my boyfriend’s was dirty. He ordered pancakes and I ordered a Cuban egg sandwich. I’m from Miami and I’m Cuban so I know these sandwiches, and this one was less than mediocre. Pretty bland and the cheese was hardly melted. And for about $ 9?! Get out of here! You can get a much better Cuban egg sandwich in Miami for $ 2-$ 3. Rip off. My boyfriends pancakes looked sad and his syrup was very watery. We were ready for our bill and our server, knowing we were waiting for her, kept chit-chatting away. Not coming back!

I came here late morning to have breakfast with my partner in crime. My pancakes came with a watery syrup that was less than appealing. My girlfriend’s Cuban breakfast sandwich was also lacking flavor. Best part: my water cup wasn’t very clean. They sort of messed up on the easy stuff.

This restaurant opened a few months ago. We had about a 20 minute wait… not too bad. It’s a very small place with an outside bar so my sister was able to get coffee while waiting. I ordered the pancakes with bacon. They were yummy. No complaints. The food came pretty quickly. My only complaint. They are a cash only establishment currently. They did have an atm on the premises.

DONOTGET A BLOODYMARYFROMHERE! Hands down one of the worst I’ve had & I get Bloody Mary’s often. I ordered a Bloody Harry by suggestion of the waiter, which was suppose to be «spicy.» There was NO flavor to this drink — I took a sip and I tasted what I think was horseradish(which was suppose to be making it «spicer» I guess) and bland tomato juice. I added lime juice & pepper but there was no saving this thing. I drank maybe an inch of it from the top & wasted the rest. The waiter never asked how the drinks were and either avoided the question on purpose or was oblivious to the fact I didn’t drink it! On to the food, which was also lacking flavor. Wasn’t really in the mood for breakfast since we went around 1pm and after my Bloody Mary, nothing sounded appealing. My sister got the clams basket(clams, fried, coleslaw) & I ended up with the fried green beans. Again everything lacked flavor — batter on the clams & green beans was thick and just greasy. Fries were soft & soggy. Green beans slid right out of the batter with the first bite so I basically ate frozen green beans that were deep fried. Waiter came by 3 times — once for drink order, once for food order and once to drop off the food. Not sure if he avoided on purpose because he could tell we went satisfied & he didn’t want to deal with it or was just oblivious that we didn’t drink our drinks or really eat our food. A different staff dropped off our check and took our payment. Besides our server, the staff were friendly enough. Just an overall disappointment with the product. Don’t see myself coming back unfortunately even to try their breakfast that everybody seems to enjoy!

We had the lobster eggs benedict and the key lime French toast, both were great. Relaxed atmosphere and classic diner feel. Good place, yummy food and nice people.

Great service decent food nothing over the top but they provide what they offer consistently. The previous review saying they add 18% grat is no longer true they didn’t add anything to our bill and we tipped 25% for excellent service

My bf and I went here for breakfast, it was very reasonably priced and the waitress we had was a very sweet older woman. Food was very good! I got the basic 222: 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage and 2 pancakes. I got banana pancakes with it, they weren’t the best I’ve had, but they were good. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a reasonably priced breakfast with good atmosphere.

This place is quite different than other diners with its rich menu. If you are looking for a good breakfast in KW you must absolutely consider here. Especially pan cakes are delicious. You can also have variaty of very delicious omlettes. Service is a bit slow but while waiting you can have nice time with your fresh coffee at this nice decorated diner.

Stayed in Key West a week and came here four times. The sandwiches were huge and reasonably priced. Meatloaf was on special one night. Loved it. The spicy Bloody Mary was great!

We had gotten to Key West really early in the morning for a day-trip to Dry Tortugas National Park, but ended up not going as the company said the waters were really rough and we may get seasick. So we passed on the trip and headed out to get breakfast. We stopped by a place that looked like it was for locals. Tried the coned-beef hash with eggs over easy, and the seafood omelette. The hash was great, very different in texture to anything I’ve had before, it was very crunchy, and mostly corned beef. The omelette was excellent, with chunks of lobster and crab in it. Certainly the best, and most expensive omelette I’ve ever had. Certainly visit this place for a meal when in KW.

Another new place on our most recent trip to Key West, Harpoon Harry’s has been recommended to us many times over the years. Finally, we agreed to forego our normal breakfast rut and give it a try with some friends. We were not at all disappointed. First, this place is very popular, so if you don’t arrive early, expect to wait for a bit. We only wound up waiting 25 minutes, which was not the end of the world. This is a pretty typical diner as far as atmosphere goes. Nothing fancy, but very local feeling. Once seated, a friendly server quickly took our drink orders. I had heard the bloody marys were spectacular, so I gave it a try. While it was very good and a solid bloody mary, I don’t think I would put it in my top 10. But I’m a bit of a Bloody Mary snob to begin with. Food-wise, they had a pretty extensive breakfast menu with lots of typical diner favorites and a few with a twist. I opted for a basic bagel and lox. It was fantastic and for about $ 7? No way! Nice fresh bagel, generous portion of smoked salmon and of course, capers, onion and cream cheese. The prices were great for what you got. Just remember, as the other reviews point out, this place is cash only. Either have some on you or use the on-site ATM.

CASHONLY. Yes they have an Atm at the cash register but the waitress didn’t even mention this to us before we ordered. Very annoying and quite rude honestly. The waitress also took our order, someone else brought out our food and she never came back. Someone else also brought over the check. Weird customer service. Nothing fancy but if you need a quick meal this is a good place. Breakfast will run you $ 7-$ 10 a person without a drink. We spent about $ 25 for the 2 of us with a milk and an OJ added in. I hadn’t seen the Unilocal reviews prior to going here but reading them now has me shocked. The food Here is not that good by any means. I’ve had better meals at Denny’s.

After a day of riding bikes around Key West we stopped down on the Mallory Square area for a late lunch. The spot was nice for people watching! We got the fried clam strips which were good although a little tough. The cole slaw was outstanding. It was a really nice little lunch at a cool funky spot. There were a lot of locals sitting in front if the place and someone stole my husband’s pack of cigarettes out of his bike basket. Otherwise nice.

Excellent! This is diner comfort food at its best. I love that they open early for us early risers. We came here twice for breakfast. Best value is the Harry’s Special. At $ 8.95, it comes with 2 eggs made to order, 2 slices of bacon, AND2 sausage links, AND a large slab of grilled ham, AND2 slices of toast, AND home fries or grits. I took the advice of a Unilocaler, and asked for my home fries well done: excellent choice! It was such a large breakfast that we took with us the ham and toast for a sandwich later. We had the same waitress both days: friendly and efficient. There’s a reason this place is always busy.

I first stopped in here a couple of hours after my arrival in Key West this month, and ended up coming back every day for one thing or another. When I checked in at my Bed and Breakfast, they told me that I could get a great breakfast at Harpoon Harry’s about 2 blocks away. My appetite was confused by the 3 hour time difference, so after I unpacked, I walked over there. I sat down at the counter and immediately felt at home. Service was immediate, and very friendly — and food came out of the kitchen quickly. I had the fried clam strips and was served way more than I could consume. Of course, the next day I stopped in for a drink after wandering all day, and was treated to a nice conversation with the ladies working there since it wasn’t too busy at the time. I sipped and chatted, and used the WIFI to check my email before heading onward to my lodgings. This became my end of afternoon routine and sometimes extended into dinner. Of the things that I ate on my visits, the thing that I loved most was their Baked Meatloaf, one of their Blue Plate Specials. It was simply delicious, served with tasty mashed potatoes and delicious rich brown gravy. I regret that I left Key West the day before the Roast Turkey Dinner was to be on special, and that I didn’t get to try the breakfast items. In general, this was a friendly down to earth local place to eat, with reasonable prices, great service, large servings, and without the touristy feel that you tend to find in so many Key West establishments. It’s cash only, but I had no problem with that.

Harpoon Harry’s was probably one of my favorite sit down breakfast in Key West. I like the old school diner feel, the bright colors and«art» on the wall, and they have a fully stocked bar behind the dining counter. Also the food was a step above your typical diner. We got to Harry’s and we were seated at a booth right away. Looked over the menu and it was nice to see that prices were on the more reasonable side and most breakfast came with a side of potatoes that every other place in Key West feels the need to charge you extra. We ordered sandwiches — I had the cubano breakfast sandwich, my wife had the crossaint sandwich. You can choose what goes inside the ingredients and the bread was all very fresh and good. They even make their own hot sauce that I used to kick my meal up a notch. The staff and the manager were friendly coming over and chatting for a bit. I would check them out again, because this place has a bright, crazy style I was really into.
