This place was great! We stopped on our way into Key West and boy am I glad we did! We had the falafel appetizer and between the three of us had a gyro, a gyro plate(with some of the most delicious rice I have ever had), and the lasagna. It was all wonderful! The tzatziki sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had and the tomatoes were so juicy, ripe and bright red! The rice on the gyro platter had carrots and chickpeas in it and was to die for! They have huge portions and very friendly staff. The only complaint I have is that they do not offer any sort of kids menu so I had to order a full size order of lasagna for a 9 year old and it was HUGE! Since we were visiting from out of town and not staying in Key West we had to leave it behind. :-(I highly recommend this place!

Like all of our Unilocal reviews… we have to keep it real… Kennedy Café gets 1 measly star, mainly because ITISSODIRTY. The level of cleanliness is literally so low that we had a hard time even eating our food, and to be frank, I’m not sure how it passes inspection. As far as the food goes: If you are very brave and can look past the fact that they stand on dirty, wet cardboard boxes in a kitchen that I’m pretty sure cause Gordon Ramsey to perpetually say the F-word, the food is maybe 1.5 stars. The greek salad is really big and could probably fill two people. The fries are frozen, flour-coated-style fries. The gyros(which everyone raves about, because they must not have ever had real Greek food) are mediocre at best. The chicken fingers(in case you have a kid who only wants to ever eat chicken fingers) are pounded to practically flat and breaded with Italian breadcrumbs. Whatever you do… DONOT go to the bathroom if you overlook my review and go here. The bathroom itself is fine – I mean, it’s no 5-star cloth towel bathroom or anything, but it checks as a standard-issue Key West toilet and sink. It’s the SMELL you have to endure walking into the back of the restaurant(presumably where they keep the food) to get to the bathroom.(& no, I’m not talking about any kind of smell you would expect from a lavatory. It’s more like old, dirty, gross food smell.) The poor menu is so confused. It is HUGE(so huge you have to ask yourself, how are they storing this amount of fresh food), and it is the strangest kind of multi-ethnic…is it Greek? Is it Uzbekistani? Is it Italian? No one knows. Long review short: unclean, less than mediocre food. Skip it.

Ate there today, ok food. They use dark meat, which I hate, and the Greek salad was ok.

Seriously? Why does this place get so many good reviews? Have these reviewers actually ever had good Greek food??? Horrible! I ordered take out. I waited at one of the tables with my mother. My food was placed in a plastic bag on the counter. The ridiculous girl that took my order never notified me that my order was ready. So there I sat for a good amount of time. It was not so busy. I think there was another family seated dining in and another to go order(who waited at the bar and came in after me but left before me). My mother said that’s probably our order sitting there, but I thought it couldn’t be because obviously the girl would tell me. Not!!! I walked up and asked how much longer and she was like huh? And she checked the bag sitting there and said oh this is yours. No apology or anything. I stared at her clearly irritated and she stared back as if I were the one with the problem. I told her that was sitting there for a long time. No response from her. She continued staring at me like I had an issue. Seriously the crappiest service ever. The food was not hot anymore and soggy! I ordered the buffalo shrimp which looked like it came out of a TV dinner! Soooo gross I couldn’t eat. The falafel pita was mediocre at best(falafel barely had flavor). I order extra hummus(again no flavor and charged extra) and extra tzatziki, mediocre and also extra charge), my mother ordered the lamb gyro which she said had zero flavor. Expensive mistake and angering service. Avoid this place at all cost. You want better food of this kind? Go to Mam’s downtown. Cheaper and better.

Very good food and fast delivery. The menu for this place is huge and so far everything that I have got has been excellent! I have tried their fish sandwich(with their excellent homemade bread), meatloaf with mashed potatoes, cheese toast with bacon, and their Café con leche. They are welcoming when you walk in and the staff is friendly! Great place for locals.

This place is the only restaurant you need to know about if you are not in the tourist hub of Duval street. It’s cheap and delicious. Get the gyro. Friendly service too!

We are here visiting… myself and two teenagers. We spent the day biking and we’re feeling tired and really didn’t wanna go out for dinner so we browsed some reviews and got take-out from this spot. We ordered a Hawaiin pizza, stuffed shells, chicken parm and then Uzbek bread. Everything was sooo soooo good. We are staying in a hotel and they made sure to ask if we needed paper plates and utensils, salt/pepper and napkins. The food was ready when we got there and was piping hot. The prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly. If I lived in the area, this would be my go to place for pizza!

Absolutely the worst sandwich I’ve ever had! Ordered 2 Cuban mixes for delivery. They got my order and address wrong despite me repeating it 5 times to them. The sandwiches were so greasy that the bread was completely soaked to the point that you couldn’t even pick up the sandwich.

Love, Love, Love this place. Really good food and prices. It is an escape from downtown and a real locals place. Has a European grocery next door. Open from breakfast until late it’s my Key West go to place when I want to relax and feel at home, old world style.

We happened into this wonderful place just because we wanted to avoid the crowds downtown. What a wonderful surprise! The home made Uzbec bread and salad were super and our main courses were tasty and filling. Their extensive imported beer list has many unusual and interesting brews. If you will be in Key West for any time, don’t pass this place up.

Can’t believe I hadn’t discovered or heard of this place sooner!!! The food is full of flavor and fantastic! While they do have quite a diversified menu running the gamut from Eastern European to Mediterranean to Italian, everything is wonderful! My man had the gyro which he loved and I had the falafel platter. Falafel was nothing exceptional but everything else was BLOWNAWAY! Definately try the roasted potatoes with lemon and dill and the Uzbekistan plav(rice dish with carmelized roasted carrots, lentils, cumin — YUM)!!! Décor leaves a lot to be desired, but the food more than makes up for it!

I’ve loved the Mediterranean and Greek choices for 2 years. Tried their pizza for the first time today and oh my god!!! Finally I genuinely great pizza in Key West. From the beginning the cheese is really good quality nice and stretchy the sauce does not taste of a can and the toppings are really good quality but the really remarkable thing is they have a crust that has the greatest flavor ever rich and yeasty and delicious. I may never order a pizza from anywhere else in this town ever again they rock!!!

3.5 Who knew that Key West had an industrial area? It was when stumbling around the other side of the key after a long day that my group came upon KC. It was rather stark but I was tired and hungry and wasn’t pay(too) much attention to the surroundings. Another thing I found odd, though: this Mediterranean café was run by… Russians?* Seriously. I wasn’t drinking. My head wasn’t cloudy. Unless the gentleman with whom we were interacting was messing with us, we were being waited on(with food prepared) by Russians. No value judgement. It’s just… odd. I spent a summer in the former Soviet Union. I used to be able to speak Russian. I(sort of) know from Russian. Mediterranean food isn’t their jam(one would think). The service was brusque and the menu’s all over the place: salads, sandwiches, pasta, gyros… nothing made sense. Like mentioned, I was tired so i settled for the chicken gyro sandwich and chose the(roasted) potato salad for my side. The sandwich was serviceable if not somewhat undersized and overpriced. The star of my plate was/were the roasted potatoes… to the surprise of no one. If in the area and if hungry… you could do worse… but I’d get the food to go. Eating here was a gray chore. The menu makes mention of Uzbek cuisine. Yet, the man we dealt with clearly said he was Russian.
