Great locals place. Cuban sandwich was awesome. Very little seating, but great to grab and go.

Staying at the Parrot Keys Resort, we wanted something different for breakfast and we found this restaurant to be on my list as «don’t leave without trying» locations. Though off the beaten track the Cuban Mix sandwich will fill your belly and not hurt the wallet. If you like food, this place is worth it

Got a fully loaded Cuban Mix sandwich and a Chicken Omelet. The Chicken Omelet was like every other delicious omelet out there. It was okay. The Cuban Mix Sandwich… MY god that sandwich was delicious! It was a lunch sandwich I got for breakfast and I’m so grateful I did because the taste was so consistent in every bite. Loaded with meat, sprinkled with lettuce and light pickles, with the perfect drizzle of mustard. The Cubun Mix is a must try…

One of the best places we eaten at while here in key west. The place is small but the food is so worth it. The fish tacos are so delicious and the Cuban sandwich was yummy as well. If you like spicy you must try their habanero sauce !

We stopped here after the beach because saltwater and sun makes hungry, right?! ;) What a cute and authentic local spot! We waited for our takeout and it didn’t take long. As we waited we saw how everything was prepared freshly. I had the fish tacos and they came with guacamole(for free! Take that, chipotle!). They were delicious! We also ordered fried plantains and they were yummi as well. Definitely recommend this place!

Cuban sandwich was good but not made like a REALCUBAN sandwich… their sandwiches added pepperoni and yellow cheddar cheese.

Just had the Cuban Mix. So good! Great, crispy bread, perfect flavor combination. The habanero sauce was the icing on the cake– just right heat.

Love this place! The fact that they know each customer by name is always a good sign! The food is amazing, the coffee is amazing, the friendly staff is even more amazing! Really wish I could take them back to base in Oklahoma with us :(but we’ll be back someday :)

This first place I visit when I arrive in The Conch Republic… The last place I visit when I leave… This place is a simple gem producing awesome sandwiches. My family has the daily argument of which is best… My daughter claims the burger is the best in the World… I crave the Cuban Sandwich. Either way you can’t go wrong in this Key West gem. Limited dine in space, so you may want to plan a picnic on the beach and enjoy a piece of Key West heaven.

Decent Cuban sandwich, small lunch counter, it was hot outside so, inside was best. I had a Cuban coffee too, it was only ok, but all in all a good experience

Great place to grab a coffee $ 3 for a large and a sandwich. Fast and friendly. Only had breakfast here. Sandwiches were on pressed heros.

Authentic Cuban food. The Cuban Mix sandwich is really delicious. Tacos are a good choice for gluten free. Ideal for grab and go food to take to the beach or a picnic. No tables, only a small counter if you want to dine there.

So bummed, we tried to go on a Friday night and it was closed by 6pm. I guess check the actual(not advertised) hours before you go!

Delicious sandwiches in a fast-food setting. Limited seating in a small, cramped storefront that’s easy to miss on the side of the road, but don’t be fooled. They have the best Cuban sandwiches in Key West. Wish I could go back soon!

Tiny place with very little seating, as most Key West gems are. We had breakfast sandwiches: 1 sausage, egg, and cheese and 1 steak and cheese. First, they seem huge for breakfast. I don’t know how one human could eat a whole breakfast sandwich and not feel like a whale all day! We shared 2 sandwiches between 3 people and still had ½ a sandwich left over. I’m not a KW local(although I lived here many moons ago) so I was very pleased with my first foray into a pressed Cuban sandwich for breakfast. Sausage was nothing special(standard fare for sausage patties), but the steak was VERY tender and flavorful. Bread was light and perfect mixture of soft and crunchy. We’ll be here a week so I hope to go back for an afternoon meal and check that out. Maybe I can increase 4 stars to 5. I must say, the Texan in me balked at the price. Paying 6 – 8 dollars for a breakfast sandwich seems ridiculous in a place where you stand in line to get your food and eat on a stool with no waiter. I’m used to breakfast tacos, where both the portion and the price seem more reasonable, but I think it’s going to be the norm here where tourist money and island prices are both high!

Unilocal pulls through again. Stopped in Kim’s Kuban to give them a try. Was told the Cuban Mix Sandwich was the most popular so I gave it a try. Very delicious are the only words that come to mind but don’t do it justice. Will be back again soon!

These Cuban sandwiches were so flavourful and filling, but also left me wanting more more more, despite my overstuffed belly! The breakfast sandwiches seems less interesting, but the sandwiches themselves are still packed with delicious flavours. They also serve excellent Coladas(make sure you share them though, because there’s a lot of caffeine there!). They have sodas and bottled water for sale in the fridges also. The staff are friendly and very willing to explain menu items if you’re confused. This is not a dine-in restaurant and there are only two or three seats available. It’s a sandwich bar, but it does what it does extremely well. If you’re looking for a great dine-in experience, this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for delicious Cuban sandwiches that are packed full to overflowing, and excellent coffee, Kim’s Kuban is the place you’re looking for.

After eating here, I am not sure people who rave about this place in their reviews actually had a real Cuban sandwich before. We came to Kim’s Kuban in the afternoon after we landed in Key West in search of some Cuban food, since this is the closest place to Cuba, so they must have some good Cuban cuisine in town. Parking was very limited like everywhere else in Key West. We were the only ones there when we got there, and the staff seemed half asleep. We ordered a few things like Cuban Mix, Steak & Cheese, and Egg & Sausage with Cheese. I also had a Café Con Leche. The breads were not pressed at all, and the sandwiches was a bit too hard for me, and the meat quality in the mix was not very good, as they tasted like processed ham and roasted meat bought from grocery stores, both dried and bland. The steak was a bit overcooked. The egg and sausage portion were tiny in comparison to the sandwich itself. The drink arrived very late, right when we were about to leave. I am not too sure I can recommend this place, just not my cup of tea. Maybe they will taste better after a few drinks, or perhaps they were trying too hard to simulate the food situation in Cuba?

Close to our hotel at Parrot Resort, we found Kim’s Kuban and have had the best CUBAN mixed sandwich EVER. The Cuban bread was so light and fluffy. The meat just melts in your mouth The café con leche was absolutely delicious.
