This shop is a hidden gem. On a street filled with a myriad of trinkets and tchotchke stores, this is a breath of fresh after. After 15 years of coming to Key West at least once a year my wife and I decided to finally buy a piece of décor. We stumble upon this shop and knew immediately our prize lay inside. They have signs (all made in Key West) of local bars, famous spots, catch phrases etc. Most are wooden and pre-​aged /​worn. I was torn between the classic Key West postcard design and a non-​tacky souvenir from Finnegan’s Wake (a bar that I have loved for years that closed a few months ago). We opted for the classic Key West sign as it matches our décor the most. The sales lady was kind and wrapped it well. She also told us we were welcome to call if I changed my mind and wanted the Finnegan’s sign as well. Great local artisan shop with high quality offerings at a great price point.

I called and talked to the owner about a special request plaque I wanted. I was so happy to hear that he had been holding it for me for quite a while and that it had not been damaged in the fire from a few months ago. Since the building had to be torn down after the fire, the owners of Montage have been making do with online sales and attending street festivals. They were set up at Lobster Fest on Saturday in front of Margaritaville and selling signs like crazy. Please support this business. The owners are great and the signs are great souvenirs to give or keep.
