This is the perfect spot for a pre Duval cocktail. The peel and eat shrimp is seasoned to perfection the key lime pie martinis are they best I’ve had in Key West — or anywhere. Service staff is attentive without being over bearing — you must come here!

They have one dollar oysters that my dad couldn’t resist. They were good according to him(no one else eats seafood). The rest of us split an order of fries with bacon, cheese, and the special ranch dressing. It was good and the ranch dressing made a difference. The iced café con leche was awesome.

Tucked away in the marina next to Hyatt a few blocks from the crowd on duval, I found this place while looking to go to Berlins for a drink and cigar. Berlins is not open yet so let’s try this place. oysters for $ 1 sounds good. Paired with a vodka on the rocks while looking out a the many yachts is s nice way to spend an afternoon. Casual and open area where the raw bar is. There’s a bar and dining room inside. For another time.

This unpretentious little restaurant was a pleasure for its open sided location. The price was right to eat lots of oysters, though not as many as I can hold. Service was pleasant. It was a low key spot, perhaps known to locals and not as frantic as the more obvious big name places right out at the water front. This was much more to our taste and at our speed. I recommend you look just a bit more to find it as we had to. It was also the recommendation of the concierge and he knew his stuff locally.

Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had. They’re $ 1 each and peel and eat shrimp is $ 20 a lb. Also delicious!

The inside bartender was horrible. Didn’t bother to wash dishes. Had to ask for everything including napkins. Do not waste your time or money

Neat spot close to the water. They do not have 50 cent oysters 24⁄7. We must have cleaned then out. They are now 1 dollar and nothing to jump up and down about. Great shrimp! Really a spot to chill and have a drink.

Excellent coffee and breakfast spot. Been staying at the Gallion Resort across the street and scuba diving each day. Grabbed a quick coffee, fruit and breakfast sandwich here… Service was pleasant and prompt, which is a rarity here in KW. Nice gem. Check it out.

The wife and I decided to drop buy for a couple of drinks and some oysters. The location was exceptional, the patio and harbor view make it challenging to leave sober. The key lime martini was one of the best drinks I had in Key a West all week and the oysters were extremely fresh and flavorful… I think we need to stay longer next time!

After reading so many positive Unilocal reviews I’m sad to say I was disappointed. We ordered 2 dozen oysters at a new price of $ 1 each and the server took way too long to deliver. The oysters were delivered in a bed of water-yuck! Only offered 3 beers on draft and had to ask and wait for crackers that should automatically come with oysters.

Stopped here several times for their key lime martinis. Excellent. Also had their oysters and steamed peel and eat shrimp. They have the best key lime martinis we found in key west. For oysters and a cocktail, this is the place.

Great little bar/deli/store. Shrimp & oysters are cheap and delicious. Perfect combo. Bloody Mary’s are amazing and the bartender Christina is helpful, personable and fun. There are a lot of bars in KW Christina’s company and personality keep us coming back.

This is a really cool place on the waterfront. It is primarily a bar, but they also have a very nice deli and store attached. They have all day specials on shrimp and oysters at the bar. The atmosphere is laid back and fun. They make some really good martinis at the bar.

If you are looking for a great key lime martini… then this is the spot! It is worth going off the beaten path to this little gem! You would not find this place unless you are looking for it.

Beautiful spot right on the harbor, 50 cent oysters, beer and wine and cocktail selections! Sit out front and feel the cool breeze as you imbibe and eat.

The eye-catching 50 cents oysters and $ 10/lb shrimps were our main goals! They served these ALLDAYLONG! They have both outdoor and indoor seating, and we took the indoor bar area. There were around 10 seats inside. We are the only 2 tourists sitting inside and the other 4 – 5 customers were all locals! I always believe, locals know the best in town! We went in there for happy hour. All other bars/restaurants around were having happy hour with cheaper drinks, but none of them have raw oysters on the happy hour menu. So, it will be your call to have $ 0.50 oyster with $ 3 – 4 for beer and $ 7 – 8 for cocktail, or $ 3 oyster with $ 2 beer and $ 4 cocktail. Since our main goal was to eat oyster and shrimp, we went straight to White Tarpon. We ordered one dozen of oyster($ 6) and half pound shrimps served cold with seasoning. We had dinner the night before in the restaurant right next. The oysters in both places have the same freshness. The shrimps were slightly smaller in White Tarpon and served cold, instead of steamed, but you paid for the shrimps by pound anyways. Bartender Ally was friendly and we took her great recommendation to try out the Key Lime Martini! The martini was great, on the sweet but strong side. Sipping that after 1 beer gave me a buzz!!! We will recommend White Tarpon if you are looking for fresh oysters and shrimp with cheap price! They served these anytime, even you missed the happy hour! I will definitely visit White Tarpon when I visit Key West next time.

Dinner at White Tarpon was by far one of the most memorable meals on my vacation. I didn’t get oysters or peel-n-eat shrimp anywhere else; thus, I cannot speak to their deliciousness compared to other seafood places in the area; however, I was impressed with them compared to what I’ve gotten in the Midwest. I suppose that’s no big surprise seeing as I was much closer to the sea down there. Oysters are only 50¢ all day, every day. We ordered two dozen and went to town on them. We did it kinda more as a joke than anything else. It just sorta seems like the thing to do down there, and I was thrilled to find that I loved these oysters as opposed to simply tolerating them. They had a very fresh flavor and weren’t fishy. But, I will say this: eating that many oysters at a time can be rather tedious because they aren’t all that flavorful to begin with, so we started putting Cholula hot sauce on them and it was great! The shrimp were large and plump. I was talking to my friend just the other day and we both came to the conclusion that being served fish with their heads still attached in Croatia may have partially cured us of being revolted by eating things that still resemble what they looked like living. These still have their legs. That creeped me out a little but not enough to keep me from devouring my fair share. Luckily, their heads are taken off. That might have been too much for me. I’m just not sure if I’m on that level yet. A handwritten chalk sign outside of the bar boasted Key Lime Martinis. I felt it my obligation to take on as many Key lime things as possible, so I ordered it and really liked it. They mixed it at our table and garnished the glasses with a graham cracker rim. We had a hell of a time ordering a Moscow Mule, though. No one seemed to know what it was and we had to instruct them on how to make one. In the end, it was also tasty. My entrée was French Toast and it was OK. Breakfast does not appear to be your best bet here and the table across from us complained about their soup being ambient temperature. It seems you’re better off coming here for the martinis and massive amounts of easily eaten seafood than for larger meals.
