Despite this place being at a fancy resort, the food was anything but. We were expecting shrimp, oysters on the ½ shell, etc but instead the menu boasted bar and pool food. Considering we were ready to snack and didn’t really know where we were, we stuck it out… I was the only one who didn’t eat lunch so I ordered the Blackened Chicken Tacos, however, I asked for sauce on the side and wrapped in lettuce. Our amazingly adorable waitress from Jamaica sounded insanely confident that this could be done, however, a half hour to 45 minutes later, when our food FINALLY arrived, the tacos came in a corn tortilla, but at least they didn’t have any sauce on them. I told them that I asked for lettuce instead of tortillas… You’d think it would be as simple as just swapping out the wrap but nope, another 20 minutes goes by and I’m presented with lettuce wrapped blackened chicken… But drenched in sauce! Ugh. I hate when it’s not made correctly cause I sound super snooty asking for ANOTHER modification, but thanks to food allergies and intolerances, I have to… Third times a charm, as my tacos were finally presented to me correctly and … They were very tasty. The crap dip and chips that was served to the table, on the other hand, was rated a 4 out of 10, thanks to it really being cream cheese heavy… I can only imagine the lump I would feel in my stomach if I could eat that. I certainly wish we knew where we were going, because then, we would have never wound up at this restaurant, alas, the modified chicken tacos were good, and the rest of my party got their drink on with smiles on their faces!
