Helpful, friendly staff! Beautiful beachfront location! Super clean accommodations! What could be better! I highly recommend staying here if you can get in!

Back again for the 8th(or 9th?) time in 12 years. We stay here every time we’re on Maui, and we would move our vacation dates around availability here rather than stay anywhere else. Let me reiterate what I wrote before: the value here is unbelievable. You will not find other oceanfront 2 bedroom rentals for $ 200/night anywhere near here(or 1-bedrooms for $ 150-$ 175). Don’t even bother looking — you won’t find it.

Absolutely the best place to say in Maui hands down. I love this place. Stayed here for my honeymoon in October of 2010. We loved being feet from the ocean, opening our window at night to hear the waves crashing on the sand. The staff here is beyond friendly, helpful, and courteous. If I could I would live here year round. Great location, walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shopping. Our favorite memories were the nightly sunsets. You really cant beat sitting on your own private Lani, drinking a glass of wine, watching the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen in your life. These rooms have full kitchens, full bathrooms, assigned parking, TVs, dishwashers, and full refrigerators. This saved us quiet a bit of money since we were able to cook meals at the apartment. We had the penthouse apartment so we had the hole top floor to ourselves. This place is not for people who stay at 5 star resorts and want to be served 24⁄7. Which is fine with me… more room for ME! :) LOL

My family and I stayed here and LOVED it, we hope to return next year. Super location off a quiet residential street, which makes all the difference when you are trying to relax. Spacious rooms, large lanais that have the most beautiful view of the sunset. I even still miss the Punahoa cove that is below the condos, its a great little beach area that is so small it can’t get crowded, although there is a more traditional larger stretch of beach to either side of the property. Super snorkeling is right out your back door, we even saw a sea turtle! The family managing the condos were friendly, helpful and suggested some great areas of attraction that I will never forget even if I live to 100! No complaints on the cleanliness of the grounds or the rooms, the kitchen was fully stocked so we saved a ton of money by eating in often. And you could walk up the street if you were in need of more human interaction or entertainment, but I preferred to spend my days staring at the sea from one of the many vantage points on the property. If there were more than five stars I would give them ten, exactly what we were looking for. We will be back!

LOVEDIT! I found Punahoa in the Lonely Planet guide to Hawaii. I stayed in a one bedroom condo for six days on a vacation to Maui. You look straight onto the ocean from the balcony of your apartment and there is a beach literally in the backyard. You can sit on the lanai and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. Shopping, dining, water activities and another beach are all within walking distance. My condo was well stocked with ice, dishes, towels for the bath and beach, a cooler, beach chairs, even dish and laundry detergent! We hardly needed anything, it was all in the condo. There is a DVD, VHS, and mini stereo, the TV has cable and you can hook up to the Internet via a cable(if you have a Mac, just use an Airport to get wireless). The only down side is that there is no A/C and the condos can get HOT in the afternoon with the sun beaming directly through the balcony window. I loved it and would definitely stay here again.
