Happened to stay in Kihei and stopped at Yee’s. It’s definitely pricey but worth at least one trip to try their mangoes. I ended up coming back an additional time b/c their pickled mango was so good. Sweet, tart, syrup with crunchy pickle mango. If you’re into pickled things you’ll most likely enjoy it! I also noticed that several other independent fruit stands throughout the island carry Yee’s mangoes even all the way in Hana. The taste is much different than any mango I’ve had on the mainland. The pit is very small and every mango I had was perfectly ripe. Delicious. Cash only. One star off for being too pricey.

$ 13 for 3 small mangos and a bunch of mini bananas. As some of previous reviews, it’s quite pricey. Banana was tasty, but mangos are disappointing as they sold me quite young ones telling me that it would get ripe quickly within 1 – 2 days. Actually, the mangos never become ripe after 5 days… maybe I just happened to visit the stand on one of those bad days.

This place has the best mangoes in the US :). The stand was even open on a rainy day. Came here on the recommendation of a friend who said that she couldn’t eat the mangoes without smiling; definitely felt the same way! The dried mangoes were good too.

In my opinion, these are the best fruits in all of Hawai’i. Everything is great, but the Golden Glow mangoes are as elusive as Mr. Yee himself.(The mangoes are elusive in the rest of the world, and you are lucky to see Mr. Yee in the flesh, if at all.) The dried coconut chunks are good, but my favorite non-fruit is the sugar cane. Juicy, sweet, and not too hard. Last time I went there, they had peacock feathers for sale.

This is usually my first stop when I get to Maui for the pickled mango.

Mangoes were really good but price was pretty high and kinda killed it. Got 2 mangoes and it cost $ 6.01. Friendly service though

Truly amazing mangos. When I first read about this place, I thought«how good can mangos be?» Well… they can be pretty damn amazing. Go early before they sell out. I tried to bring one home for family and it was not allowed at the airport :(

Delicious mangos grown by owner. Must stop by and try. He was so nice he cut them up for us as well as a pineapple we had bought from our trip to Hana. Super nice guy. Delicious fruits!

The golden glows are amaaazing! Sweeter, Less fibrous and smaller pit… apparently exclusive to their orchard, I highly suggest coming by here if you want a taste of local Mangoes.

On the way from Wailea to Kahului, we decided to check out this little fruit stand, which is right around the corner from Coconuts Fish Café. We picked up a mango, some regular bananas and some apple bananas. My wife was eyeing the papayas but some guy swiped the last one before she had a chance to pick it up. The mangos were amazing and reminded me of the mangoes that I grew up on in the Philippines — super sweet and juicy, unlike the mangoes that we find in California, which are a little bit sour. I also had never had apple bananas before and really liked them as well. I didn’t get to try the regular bananas, since we mashed those up for our toddler. Overall, a great pit stop and we’ll definitely return if we are ever back in Maui.

Believe it or not, this fruit stand is worth not just a detour but a whole trip.(Three Michelin stars anyone?) Mr. Yee himself — who, like the Wizard of Oz, you are unlikely to meet in the flesh — has developed his own renowned varieties of mango, including his flagship Golden Glow variety. His mangos and other fruits are shipped throughout the Hawaiian islands and known for their distinctive flavor and texture, but sadly USDA regulations prohibit their shipment to the mainland. So if you want these tasty gems, you will have to get yourself to Hawaii. Mr. Yee’s humble fruit stand in Kihei, set on the edge of his orchard, also sells a wide variety of other tropical fruits and veggies that he grows. Choose whatever you like, and if you ask, they will be happy to peel and slice it so that you can eat it without a moment’s delay.

We found this Fruit Stand in 2013 and have been back many times. Dropped by today and bought a bag of fruit. Of course the main reason for going was to get some of her great mangos. Maybe the best in the world, definitely the best on Maui!!! Friendly service and a pleasure to talk to about her fruits. Knows everything about Mangos.

This was by far the best mango I’ve ever had in Maui. It was perfectly ripe and extremely juicy. They have a wide range of fruits and vegetables including things I’ve never even heard of. I also bought myself an avocado that was perfectly ripe and ready to eat. Really nice people and right off South Kihei Road. It’s just past Longs when you’re headed north. Cash only.

After reading the glowing reviews of this fruit stand, trying mangoes from Yee’s was one of the things I was looking forward to most on our trip. Sadly, not one but BOTH of our mangoes were rotten on the inside and inedible. We also bought star fruit, which was great, but those mangoes… Le sigh. If you are going to buy fruit from here, ask the lady there to open one to make sure it’s not a bad batch. Our mangoes were firm to the touch, so it’s impossible to tell unless you look inside.

Fruits are on the expensive side. Lots of mango trees on the property. Bought the pickled green mangoes for $ 3.50. The taste reminds me of the pickled mangos on my trip to Taiwan. Mango bread, sold for $ 4, was okay. Expected it to be more moist.

The mango was good but def not $ 4/lb good. Papaya was excellent, though still more expensive than I’d expect here. I shouldve checked the prices first. Try the farmers market a few blocks south.

Bottom line: Yee’s mangoes are life changing. If you’re a mango person, you must make this stand a mandatory stop in your Maui vacation, and pick up at least 10 Golden Glow Mangoes. Sweetest mangoes I’ve ever had, with absolutely no fiber. They literally feel like they’re melting in your mouth. Now that I’m back in the mainland, I can no longer eat mangoes, because they only disappoint every time. I miss Yee’s :-( P. S. — skip the mango bread. I was expecting chunks of mango baked into bread with a mangoey flavor, but neither the chunks nor the mango flavor were there. It was more just like banana bread without the bananas.

Recently back from my first trip to Hawaii in three years, and glad to see Mrs. Yee is still doing her thing. I hadn’t been down to Kihea during the first week of my visit, and couldn’t find good local mangoes at the farmers markets in West Maui. However, when I stopped by the farmstand, Mrs. Yee had plenty of ripe Golden Glows and Hadens. And, her moist, tasty mango bread is as good as ever. Yee’s mangoes are also sold at Down To Earth Foods in Kahalui, a good place to stop for supplies as soon as you arrive from the mainland and exit the airport.
