Best pizza. If we come back to obx we would definitely go again. Lots of choices for toppings and the service was great. No complaints… loved it!

Great pizza and garlic knots! ! We had a half pepperoni, half meatball pizza and it was great. The garlic knots were fantastic. This is a great casual local pizza restaurant. It is away from the crowd of the beach and very relaxing. I will definitely be coming back.

What an awesome, awesome place. I have been coming to the Outer Banks for years and I had never been to Colington Pizza. This trip, I wanted to go somewhere off the beaten path, somewhere not so gimmicky, somewhere the locals go. After consulting fellow Unilocalers’ reviews, I decided to try Colington’s and I was NOT disappointed! The waiter was helpful and friendly and made my family and I feel like we had been going there for years. We got there just before the dinner rush and he was on top of everything even though he was the only one waiting on customers. The beer specials were amazing($ 1.75PBR) and the pizza was incredible. This local diamond in the rough was a breath of fresh air when you are surrounded by chain restaurants but hunting for a local dive.

This place was really delicious. Our waiter was super friendly. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. We got the garlic knots(yum!), a small cheese pizza, and a small half Shiffletti/half Bubba. All were really tasty. The garlic flavor on the Bubba is strong, but not overpowering(just make sure you like strong flavors). This place goes down on our«must return» list!

Great pizza! We had the Bubba pie and garlic knots — highly recommend. Friendly staff, very clean, great beer selection, TV’s. Price and location are why we didn’t rate it a solid 5, but it’s worth it!

Great pizza! Awesome NY style crust. We had«The Bubba» which had double cheese, pepperoni, smoked Gouda, and garlic. Highly recommended! Beer selection was good too. Definitely a must try and a nice break from the typical tourist traps.

5 stars for proximity to those of us living in the harbour(Yes, with a «U»). Very locally owned and supported. Not a bad pie on the menu and you’ve probably heard about the garlic knots. Beer, wine & a few TVs. Not a big place by any stretch so even a few dozen people fill the joint.

This hidden gem was delicious! The owner is so kind and welcoming. The pizza is delicious. The atmosphere is great. It is off the beaten path of the hustle and bustle of OBX. We have had several locals recommend this place and we finally decided to try it out. SO glad we did. We will definitely be back. Prices are great and pizza is the best we have had in this area. A MUSTHAVE when you are in OBX.

A gem in Collington. A locals type place with terrific food. Seats 25 – 35 with a small bar. Terrific Greek salad with a microbrew vanilla porter and few slices of pizza made for a great meal. Well worth the drive off the main road in the outer banks. I’ve been to obx many times and this is the best pizza hands down

Very disappointed! The pizza is fair priced but still not worth the money or drive. Pizza crust tasted like cardboard, barely any sauce, cheap cheese, and was burnt on top. Not worth the drive or money. Come to Outer Banks every year and this has to be the worst pizza I’ve had here. I would even recommend Little Ceasers over this place.

Man, I’m bummed I wrote this place off for so long! Totally figured it was«convenience» food, being the only restaurant of any sort located so close to the harbour. Figured it wouldn’t be any good so never even gave it a chance. Boy were we wrong! After coming across some great Unilocal reviews, we decided to drive back to Colington specifically to get the thrifty $ 10 large cheese pizza one night(figuring if the cheese was good the others should be also), but ended up ordering the Bubba instead, which was really good! I mean pizza is almost always greasy, so can’t complain about that, but the sauce, crust, extra cheese, smoked Gouda, pepperoni and roasted garlic were SO good, I doubt I’ll ever end up with just a cheese pizza from here! The reviews we read had suggested the garlic wings, and they were so good you really don’t need ranch or blue cheese at all. I wish we’d tried the spicy AND the garlic wings, they were that good.(actually, maybe we’ll just go here for wings from now on as the rest of the beach seems to be lacking this simple item.) It was a Friday night in February, & the place was pretty quiet, aside from a few guys at the bar. Lots of TV’s if you’re a sports fan, and the waitress was friendly. I’m stoked we found another good pizza spot other than Slice. I thought Slice was the best on the beach, but they’ve definitely got competition with Colington Pizza, plus a little more space in the dining room. Slice is pretty cramped, with very little seating, especially in summer months. In my book, they are both equals. Different, but equal.

This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We make it a point to go to Colingtons every time we’re in Nags Head and you should do the same. I’ve tried about six pizzas off the menu and all of them were great, but my favorite so far is the Bubba pizza which is red sauce, extra cheese, pepperoni, smoked gouda and roasted garlic. The staff here is great too. They were funny, fast and had no issues splitting the check for our large party the last time we were there. I just wish they were open for lunch too.

My definition of a 5-star restaurant is that I would drive WELL out of my way to have a meal there. Colington Pizza definitely qualifies under that definition! In fact, I would probably stop by even if I wasn’t staying in the OBX area! === THEGOOD === Food. Our family ordered Rosemary Garlic Knots and the«Bubba» pizza. Everything was fantastic and tasty and had us thinking about our next visit before we even had our second slide of pizza! Service. The server was super attentive and friendly and made sure we were well taken care of! Absolutely no complaints! Prices. For what you get and where you are, these prices are good. Not great; but still good. We’ve eaten at other restaurants in the area and have paid a LOT more for food that wasn’t as good. === THEBAD === Parking/Seating. The ONLY downside to this place is that there is limited parking and seating. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait for either, but given how good the place is, I could see having to wait a bit of time for either one on a busy weekend/night. I would still argue that it’s worth the wait… however long it is!

we ordered a ton of stuff, and then realized it was quite a drive. It was good, but not sure one needs to go that far for good pizza. The cheese and supreme pizza were really good. I normally order wings so it was nice to try something new — the hot wings were hot and the garlic wings were tasty! The Luau pizza(Hawaiian) was okay, but would prefer Canadian bacon, not NCBBQ on that pizza. The mozzarella sticks were the worst ever, but maybe they’re better if you eat there. Overall, a good choice, but too far if you’re looking to lay back for a night.

Forget the NY Pizzas of OBX. Seriously, skip them. $ 10 large cheese pizza is a must if you are ordering pizza for the kids or just like your pizza plain. It was thin and delicious. Also ordered the White Pizza(White Sauce, Spinach & Mozzarella topped with Tomatoes, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Garlic & our Four Cheese Blend), which was outstanding. A bit pricey at $ 19, but for the area, it is very reasonable. It is just under 4 miles off the beaten path and a fun drive to find their place. The guy who took my order was super helpful to be sure I knew how to find them. Order was ready when I arrived. In and out in a few minutes. Lots of locals who appreciate good food hanging at the bar and tables.

My five year old downed the garlic bread knots, then asked for more. Being that she is a cheese pizza expert, this place was her favorite out of all the outerbanks pizza places we tried. Kiddo loved the cheese and I liked the white pizza. Great atmosphere and very friendly people!

Worth the drive from the beach. We are staying in nags head and wanted to try something a little further away while exploring the island. We came across other reviews for calington pizza on Unilocal and decided to give it a try versus more local but commercial looking pizza places. I am so glad that we did. We started out with an order of garlic wings and pinwheels. The garlic wings reminded me of a wing of actually get at a specialty wing restaurant. From there we had an order of pinwheels which are little balls of dough and pepperoni. So much yum. Then came the main course. Our pizza arrives. It’s New York style thin but not crispy and great tasting. I’m so glad there was some to take home.
