Our«Go-To» pizza place when we are in the Outer Banks! The staff is always friendly, and the pizza is great!

Best of the big apple pizza you’re going to get around here. Decent pizza, clean place, good service, friendly staff. The seafood pizza was outstanding and the Tour of Italy was a good choice to sample some of their Italian cuisine. Looking forward to other visit.

When I vacationed in the Outer Banks years ago, this would be my go to pizza place. I remembered how good the pizza flavor was and the quality of ingredients. This time around something was lacking. I can’t quite put a finger on it but it wasn’t as seasoned as it could have been. The sauce was forgettable and the toppings to me could have been cooked a little longer. The onions was still too raw but the crust was good and non-greasy. The garlic knots though was good. It looked dry and season-less BUT looks was deceiving! The bread was moist in the inside and had the right touch of garlic in every bite. I’ll go again and maybe try out their pasta dishes as they serve array of pastas and nightly specials. They have bands that perform on Fridays and Saturdays so, that’s a great way to get entertainment while eating.

Visited the OBX for a wedding and went to New York Pizza Pub, actually went twice because it was so delicious! From the wings to the garlic knots everything we had was on point and of course the pizza was amazing. The staff was super friendly and they have a large bar with great beer selection. A definite must if you like pizza and are in the outer banks.

The service is friendly, prompt and competent. The salads are fresh and good. The pizza is pretty good but for 24.00 for a large meat lovers I expect more meat and evenly distributed. The spinach pizza with ricotta was just OK with minimum spinach. The Hawaiian was good with ham and pineapple. A regular pepperoni was again OK but for the prices charged all should be prepared better. The crust is good so they can have an excellent product if they pay attention to the details and don’t skimp on the toppings.

We’re mixed in this place we enjoyed the pizza but was well over priced. Drinks were mostly good had one bad drink at the end. When we didn’t like it the bartender seem mad but he may have been joking we could not tell but they did make us another. Waiter was a nice guy but seemed shocked by us alot. We were all confused by our interactions with him bit he seem very nice just different.

So I came here with my friends looking for some local pizza. This place is very local. So local I was greeted with a «Help Wanted» sign on the front door. My friends wanted to come so I just went along with them. The pizza was straightforward. Good taste, a little too thick of a crust for NY standards.

I’m not a huge fan of the food, but it’s okay. They have a pretty good bar that’s fairly well stocked and a decent place to watch sports. You could do a lot worse. I’d tack on an extra half star if possible.

Perhaps I am biased since this is the pizza place that we always pick up from on our way into the island at the start of vacation so I am usually all hopped up on those amazing vacation feels, but I think this place is pretty dang good. From the outside it appears to be one of those cheesy pizza joints that can only churn out semi-decent pizza and lackluster italian staples, but I’ve eaten in as well as taken out and can’t remember anything standing out in a negative way. Have sampled pizza from a few other places on the island and this is definitely on the higher end of the spectrum.

Being from the New York area, I have a pretty high expectation of pizza– this place met them pretty well! My fiancé and I found this place after we drove from NJ to the Outer Banks and it was the only place that was still open at 10:30 at night and we were pleasantly suprised! Very good pizza :)

This place robbed me. I went there on a Thursday night. I ordered 3 beers and it was dollar beer night but they brought me back a tab for 37.50. When I questioned it he promised me it was voided but couldn’t bring me a check for the actual total. I was talking to the manager and he flagged over a bouncer and he dragged me out unnecessarily. It was a terrible experience and I would never suggest this place.

Today was the 3rd time I visited this place, the first time being in 2007. Pizza was good in past visits, but today my husband got a calzone and I got the fettuccini Alfredo. The calzone was very good and very large, I’d get that in the future. My Alfredo left much to be desired. It was flavorless, thick cream. I can’t imagine that the Alfredo came from a jar when they charge $ 16(no meat, just noodles and Alfredo) but I can’t imagine how they made the Alfredo taste so bland. I’ve had Alfredo in some restaurants that were too heavy on the butter but at least that gave some flavor. It did come in a large portion as I took about half home. Don’t recommend the Alfredo, would go for the pepperoni calzone or pizza next time. *** update: the fettuccini actually tasted better reheated the next day and was somehow buttery and much tastier.

Can’t tell you how skeptical I was to come here. Came here years ago and was very disappointed in the food which is why I didn’t want to come tonight but to my surprise it was wonderful. Everyone in my family enjoy everything. We got potato skins as an appetizer and pepperoni pizza and chicken pesto pizza. Everything was amazing. The waitress was also awesome!

Good pizza. Good service. Good atmosphere. Awesome wings! The bar is really cool. Full ABC. Plenty of TVS to keep up with sports. Pretty extensive menu for a «pizza place» but that’s because it is a lot more than that. Italian staples and steaks too. Portions are generous. Live music several nights a week after the dinner crowd is done. With the bulk of those starting after 9. Plenty of room for large tables and while it’s always busy in the summer, the wait is usually not bad. Did I mention the awesome wings?

The pizza here is the best on the beach, but it is expensive, but all the restaurant food on the beach is expensive! We had a 16″ pizza. The crust is hand tossed and cooked perfectly. Unlike some pizzas, who can have soggy centers, NY Pizza Pub knows how to cook it. My wife had a huge bowl of spaghetti with meat sauce. It was loaded with tons of meat, but she wished it had a bit more tomato sauce. We dropped over $ 50 for this meal, which caused them to loose a star in my review. In defense of all the independently owned restaurants on the Outer Banks, they are located on an island, where their best earning potential comes during a few short months of tourist season. Yeah, you pay more, but think about where you are eating that delicious meal: On a small sandy strip of land out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean! I love NY Pizza Pub!

This place was pretty good. The bar service was phenomenal. They had a wide variety of beers on tap and stock a full bar. For food i just got a specialty pizza to go. I ordered the bacon double cheeseburger pizza and it was tasty. It was large and loaded with toppings. The price was a little more than I thought it would be, but I guess with all of the toppings it makes sense. I ordered the pizza to go and it only took a few minutes for them to get it ready. I definitely recommend this place and I hope to try a few more things from their menu.

This place showed promise as we went in, but as soon as we were seated I knew it was going to go downhill almost immediately upon looking at the menu. The prices for a 16″ pizza are astounding, even for being summer in a beach town. I hardly feel that a meat lovers pizza(which only has 4 meats on it btw) warrants a $ 23 dollar price tag. The sauce is lacking and bland. The dough was super doughy. The pizza was barely hot and I knew that it had been sitting in the window for a while because it had become soggy in the middle. We also had ordered 2 side salads, which were tiny and over priced as well. Last but not least, we had calamari that tasted like it had come out of the freezer. Just awful considering this is a beach town. I will never return, I will never advise anyone to eat here, and I DOADVISE you to instead go somewhere else!!!

Had dinner with our kids and grand kids tonight for the first time at NY Pizza Pub. Busy place but managed well. Great pizzas and salads and hats off to the wait staff, especially Christopher, for coping so well with our needs and those at his other tables. Things come out of the kitchen rather randomly but Chris was on top of it real well. It’s a primo beach/family place. We’ll be back.

We are locals whose visitors wanted to eat here. What a mistake!!! Server was very friendly and tried very hard but she had to deal with a miserable kitchen. Pizza was good but came out from a different kitchen than everything else. It also came out 15 minutes before the rest of the food. Spaghetti with marinara sauce was watery. Pasta was cold, sauce warm, and meat balls hot. Chicken marsala had a brown gravy over it. Strangest marsala sauce we have seen. Mushrooms were almost raw. Kitchen put marinara sauce on the pasta and it mixed with the marsala sauce to make for a novel concoction. Manager came over at the server’s request. We told him about the good and the bad and he said he would talk to the cooks. Final«kick in the pants» from eating here was the take home box had a hole in the bottom and leaked all over.
