Good food. Seemed a bit pricey, being a hole in the wall spot. Decent service, but I didn’t speak the language. I had the bulgogi. Portion was a little small for the price.

hung out with my auntie hear after a harrowing ride from austin to kileen then on to texas. but this hole in the wall korean is no joke. would put it up against any koren restauant in the bay area. and you better know what you want and stick to it. think seinfeld and the demise of soup…

I love the restaurant. The food is great. Been going there for years and would not change that for the world.

Well this place was recommended by my Korean mother, and her Korean boyfriend. After our order was taken, and we were waiting on our food, I remarked that I hoped that the food made up for the dismal service. WOW, the food blew the service out of the water. I had yukgaejang, and it was the best I have ever had. The kimchi was better than Omart’s, and better than what I buy on the rare trip to Dallas when I go to HMart. As good as my mother’s. My son had spicy squid, and it was perfectly tender and not chewy at all. Plenty of banchan was given, and after the food arrived, the service seemed to get better, because refills were offered on drinks and on banchan. The menu is varied, and they offer many dishes other than the typical bulgogi, galbi, kimch jigae, and chapjae. I definitely have found my new favorite Korean restaurant.

My Korean hairstylist urged me to try out Koba Woo because she felt that it’s better than my favorite spot, so I came here to cheat on my beloved Seoul To Go. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed that it was completely deserted with only a small TV on the counter blaring a Korean news program. To note, I’m no stranger to hole in the wall joints, so this did not deter me — what matters the most is service and the food. Before we knew it, ajumma magically appeared and she was a very sweet lady with a welcoming personality. Handing us our menu, most of it was written in Korean — pretty legit. Thankfully, there were English translations to accompany it. Our food came out relatively fast still sizzling on a cast iron plate. What we immediately noticed was the smaller portions that they serve here for the price. Meh. FOODREVIEW + Main Entrée: bulgogi had good flavor and was somewhat tender, but there was a lot of fat that needed to be trimmed off. + Banchan: my boyfriend who typically loves eomuk(fishcake), remarked that it was«a bit off» and didn’t want to eat it anymore. I was really diggin’ the kimchi and oi muchim, though. Ajumma graciously offered to replenish more banchan, if needed. CONCLUSION Although the service was great, the food was just average and didn’t justify the higher price. Was it worth cheating? No. Nice try, Chungson. I’ll come back here ONLY if you’re paying.

If I can, I want to give them no star at all! It was the worst service ever! We went to eat lunch here for the first time. When we walked in, there were only 2 customers. the waitress took our order including epitizer. shortly after, there were more people walking in(they were all groups of korean) I watched them all order. Then, after a long wait I noticed we’re the only table that are not served with anything!!! when we were the first to ordered! only thing we got on our table was water. If there were any communication with the waitress what so ever, I won’t be this upset! Because, I do understand it’s lunch hour but I feel like we were completely ignored because we’re not their usual. I actually have no idea Why though… so we got up and left! Honestly, they lost a really good customer!!!

Awesome Korean Food. I was stationed in South Korea and I know what real Korean Food is. This location is the best place for Korean food hands down in a 50 mile radius of this location. Atmosphere of the restaurant is very bland but much like a lot of simple restaurants in Korea. Food is the real reason to go out to eat. I had Bulgogi and Banchan… The taste is amazing… Everything fresh and well cooked. Seasoning was outstanding. I recommend getting food from here.

Most legit Korean food in Killeen. That’s really saying a lot. Brush up on your Engrish before you go. Then while you’rethere, order the«fried» rice(bokkum bop) with any dish that is cooked at the table for you.

Yum! Tastes like home. Well, not exactly my home as my mom’s cooking is obviously my favorite, but at least like my best friend’s mom’s house. With the HEAT turned all the way up outside, the mool naeng myuen sure caught my eye. Dak dori tang and some sort of Korean chicken wings were also ordered. Those dishes I don’t typically see at «nicer» Korean joints so this made the offerings seem more of a homestyle place. Man, everything was pretty good! The stew had a ton of meat in it and it was hard to wait for it to stop bubbling before we dove in. Chicken wings were flavored with kochujang just like mom’s. Sweet with a back of the mouth heat, so tasty. My noodles were cold and refreshing and hit the spot. I’m glad I got my own pair of scissors to cut away at the noodles or I would have been one hot mess trying to slurp them all up. Service was actually really great and we were asked quite a few times if we needed refills on our banchan. Glad to see at least 1 corner of downtown Killeen still bringing it.

This place is pretty good. It has a really good rice bowl that I like a lot. I’ve also had the bulgogi, which is also pretty good. It’s in old downtown killeen, so there generally aren’t any crowds, which is a huge plus. Owners /servers speak are korean and speak very little english. It’s all part of the fun.
