My partner and I came in here in the«off season» but were thrilled they were open around lunch time. It’s definitely got a funky sort of vibe to it but no doubt, it’s a diner. Parking lot probably could use a bit of an upgrade. They have a crazy orange delivery track over the bar that is supposed to go right into the juicer, the manager showed us how it works. Quick lunch service! The onion rings are delicious and perfectly cooked. The wings are OK. I really enjoyed the grilled cheese. I would definitely come back to try the breakfast menu and am interested how the place operates during the ski season. Seems like a very cool get-together place after skiing.

I travel for business and eat out a lot. I have been to some awesome places, and some truly awful places. I went here this afternoon while traveling for business. I had an hour to kill and was hungry. When I rolled up on the plaza, I saw a pizza joint, so I got excited. When I realized the place was closed for whatever reason, I popped into Wally’s instead. I decided to go with finger food. When the waitress/bartender came up to take my order, I told her I wanted Chicken Fingers and a Basket of Fries. She informed me they were out of fries. I thought«whatever» and told her I would do Mozzarella Sticks instead. No big deal. She came back later with my order, but no sauce for the chicken fingers. The menu clearly states they come with Honey Mustard. I asked for Honey Mustard, and she said«We are out…» After some back and fourth I settled on blu cheese. If she had told me there was no honey mustard, I would have ordered something else, or just left. The bar top was dirty, there was half an orange next to this big juicer machine, and fruit flies near some rinds. I am currently writing this review from my toilet because I now have what I dub Killington’s Revenge. I advise anyone thinking about this place to try something better, this joint is sub par at best. I wish I could give -*‘s because my bowels insist this place will make others sick.

Please don’t waste your time and money at this restaurant. We ate on 12/28/2014 and won’t be back. First, from order being placed to food on the table was 40 minutes. Second, food came out cold for two of the six orders. See the waffle below that was too cold to even melt the butter. Waitress then charged us for some«season pass» for $ 50(see bill). Then, she told us the staff is new and it’s not her fault because she didn’t make the food. What a joke! Rare to find people that immature and non-team players in the service industry. The only positive from the ordeal was the manager’s professionalism. She listened to our complaints apologized for the poor service and kindly comped the bad meals.

I normally don’t go out for breakfast when I’m in killington but my leg was hurting me and u didn’t hit the slopes. I had seen Wally’s in passing so I gave it a try. It’s kind of run down inside then again so are a lot of places in killington. I say at the diner like counter with a view of the exposed kitchen. Ordered a basic breakfast. Eggs sausage toast etc. it was just what you would expect for breakfast. Everything was cooked well. Service was good.

Their hash was pretty good, but the coffee was just OK and service was pretty bad since they didnt refill my cup. They had good tunes playing and also serve alcohol so its a good place to go to hungover and ready to start the day back up again.

Wally’s was a great traditional diner with decent food in Killington. The Orange juice was some of the best I’ve had. They had a contraption to send the oranges all along the restaurant in a chute into a juicing machine. Their«perfect screw»(screw driver) was deceptively strong. I had the carver sandwich(Turkey stuffing and cranberry sauce on an open face sandwich was divine! I’d go back any day.

What a disaster this place has become. No one makes eye contact with you when you enter and when they do they don’t even ask you how many they just bellow from behind the bar that it will be a 10 – 15 minute wait. We sat at a table for almost 15 minutes before we were greeted. While we were waiting for our table two of out party ordered drinks that never came. Really sad example of service. This place has so much potential, it’s too bad the crew they have working is a disaster. Everyone running in different directions with no sense of leadership. What a mess.

5 hungry skiers trying to grab food before noon… Waited for an hour and didn’t even get waters after asking multiple times. Truly the worst service ever. Food took over an hour with hardly anyone else in the restaurant.

Food — a — Plenty and it’s very good. Server was quite entertaining too. However you can’t get a draft beer in the summer. They turn off the taps when the snow melts…

This place is super cute — a classic diner right in the middle of Killington. It’s a great place to go for a big breakfast before skiing, but also good for Sunday brunch to complete your weekend. The freshly squeezed orange juice is must — and you can jazz it up and get a screwdriver or mimosa. There is a funky delivery system, the OJ roller coaster, for the oranges that travel like a kid’s toy around the restaurant to the juicer. They have a full menu for lunch and dinner and a bar, but we only had breakfast — Which was delicious! I had the Country Frittata with potatoes, mushroom spinach, tomatoes and mozzarella, and it came with a side fruit salad(tasted liked a mix of fresh and canned fruit) and toast. My husband has the french toast which was also yummy. The service was great too — Would definitely come again!

Severs don’t acknowledge you. Health code violations, poor service when you get their attention and no leadership. No hostess ever greeted the guests when they entered. A waitress had the check folder stuffed into her pants next to her skin. She would take it out, put it back in and then grab food from the kitchen without washing her hands. They were very busy today but have been there when it was quiet and the service still sucks.

Last week was my first time at Killington and our first meal was here at Wally’s. Cute place! A funky diner with a an eclectic décor including a contraption that carries fresh oranges up the wall and across the ceiling and drops them into a track that delivers them to a juicer which produces the most amazing cup of OJ I have ever tasted! I’m serious. My group was trying to decide whether there was any vodka worthy of it. The stuff is gonna cost u though(like $ 5) but it’s well worth it. Moving on to the food. Big portions. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Omelettes. Eggs Benedict. All that carby stuff too. Most served with some tasty hash browns and toast. Our server seemed to be the only employee there so it was a bit slow and disorganized, but he had a good sense of humor and we didn’t really mind the wait. If you’re in the area TRY WALLYs for breakfast. I understand they sell Ana’s Empanadas there some evenings. Tried those up on the slopes. YUM!

Frustratingly bad service that wasn’t made up for by lackluster food. Upon entering we were told we’d have to wait 10 – 15 minutes because other tables had just been sat. There were only 4 tables full in the whole place, that’s it. Probably should have left then, but we stayed. The one waitress then finally decides to seat us, and ignores us for 15 minutes. Let me restate — there are 4 tables full in the place. Even with only 1 waitress that shouldn’t be hard to manage. She finally takes our order, and we specify we want to start with wings. The wings sit in the order up window for about 10 minutes. Our waitress waits until our meals are ready before bringing everything over. First of all, it would seem like common sense that we’d want the wings as an appetizer. Second, when she finally brought them over, they were cold. When we complained she shrugged and told us she guessed they could heat them up again. Food was mediocre. My burger was far too well done and was dried out. Wings(other than being cold) were swimming in a not great sauce. Very unimpressive. I know the access road isn’t known for haute cuisine or anything, but the combination of really lousy service and totally blah food will keep us away from here in the future.

The breakfast is served in giant portions, and fairly good. I wouldn’t say its very expensive. The atmosphere is very cute, especially the juicer in the back. If you go for breakfast I suggest getting their OJ. It tastes fresh and is fun to watch the contraption do its work. However the fun stops at the service. I’ve gone to Wally’s multiple times and the service disappoints me each time. In the morning it’s fairly busy, so slow service is understandable.

Wally’s is sort of a mix between diner and bar, although perfectly integrated together to make one seamless experience. The black and white tiles are reminiscent of a 60’s diner along with the black booth seats, jukebox, photos and memoribilia plastered against the walls. But then it’s all tied together with the dark wood-lacquered tables and LCD screens airing various sports games in the bar area to make it cozy enough to grab a drink and some apps. Happy Hour is everyday from 3pm — 6pm, offering up $ 1 pulled pork sliders. Pints of Rolling Rock draft beer are also available for $ 1 all times of the day(not just between 3pm — 6pm). Table service is usually attentive and friendly as the waitresses come by frequently to check up on you and refill your glasses of water. For my latest visit to Wally’s I ordered the Steak Bomb($ 9.95) which is steak, small cubes of hot sausage, sauteed onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and cheese on a hero. The Steak Bomb is a solid cheesesteak that won’t disappoint, but neither did it amaze me. I did enjoy the small pieces of hot sausage as it added a bit of saltiness and subtle heat to this hero. Served on the side was a handful of ridges potato chips and a slice of sour pickle. I also tried the Jalapeño Wings($ 7.95) which is a plate of 13 delicious buffalo wings. Moist in the inside, cripsy skin on the outside without too much spice. The sauce on wings are thick with a nice tanginess. Yum! Wally’s is a solid bar/diner without the large crowds. Prices are reasonable so they won’t break the bank, especially after splurging on Killington tickets and hotel expenses. If you’re looking for simple burgers, sandwiches, soups, and apps, this is the place to go.

Liked this place so much the first time we went for breakfast while on a weekend away in Killington, we went again the next day. The breakfast combos are very well priced and include just the thing to give you either hangover relief or energy to enjoy the snow. I had the«All-In,» which included bacon, homefries, wheat toast, eggs and french toast. Each part was tasty. They also serve«the perfect screwdriver,» which is orange vodka kept at a freezing temperature, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. SO good. And, you can watch the oranges travel through an elaborate system to get to the juicer. How fun.

I like this better than the pizza place next door. Why? The service was excellent. You can also doodle on a wall. The food was not that great(I come from NJ, the land of diners), but it’s a chill place to hang out after a day on the slopes. They make a fresh screwdriver, which my little friend finished with surprising speed… the mac’n cheese looked oddly reminiscent of that blue box variety. oh, and their chocolate milkshake is really just vanilla + syrup. oh well. it’s vt. at least they had cell reception.

We had back-to-back meals at Wally’s. There are only a handful of dinner entrée choices, but you can order from the lunch and breakfast menus too. The fries have a nice, thick batter. So do the onion rings. My chicken Caesar wrap was generous on the chicken and could have been 2 meals. Try the milkshake. It’ll bring all the boys to the yard. The juicer by the bar is fascinating. Oranges follow a track along the ceiling that spiral down into the magical juicer that generates fresh-squeezed goodness. That, paired with mandarin orange vodka, makes up «the perfect screwdriver», which our dinner waitress raved about so much that I had to order one when we came back for a lunch pit stop the next day. Perfect? Pretty much. Your diner experience is rounded out by the friendly service, black-and-white checked floor tiles, and jukebox.

I wish I could give half stars. Anyway, here’s the breakdown… FOOD: The food is good. Everything I’ve tried has been a generous plate of quality eatin’s. The drinks are also good – fresh squeezed OJ, in particular. I wouldn’t go here for the bar, but screwdrivers made with the aforementioned fresh squeezed OJ will blow. your. MIND. Plus, there aren’t too many breakfast options around, so this place is where you want to go. ENVIRONMENT: Always seems clean and inviting. It has the old diner feel, yet it is extremely unique in its own right. As some have mentioned already, they have a contraption that transports the oranges and drops them into the juicer and it’s enough to mesmerize any exhausted skiier or hungover hangaround, like myself. SERVICE: Okay, here’s why there aren’t 5 stars up there. The service can be truly awful. The people all seem nice, yet sometimes they walk by without batting an eye to the line of people going out the door. Granted, some times it is VERY busy and the waitstaff are doing their best to get to everyone. However, I’ve been there when the place wasn’t at full capacity and it just seemed like there wasn’t a good system, wasn’t good communication, and the servers were not very attentive to the customers. Booooo! I’d still recommend the place and I plan on returning.

This place is a great retro brunch stop. Love the décor and the food was tasty. Most importantly, they have a huge orange juicer machine that lifts oranges up a conveyor belt, across the ceiling and down a spiral ramp into the machine that squeezes them into delicious liquid for your consumption. When 3 of 4 people in my party ordered large $ 5 orange juices and it was brought to our table without the machine going on, our waitress explained that it was old and often bugs out when people want to see it so they have a lot of juice ready made. But when we asked, she gladly obliged and turned on the machine for our delight. After all, I was paying for the entertainment, not just the juice. Picture forthcoming… Food was good too. I got the buttermilk waffle with chocolate chips and real VT maple syrup. I would’ve liked the chips in the batter and the real VT syrup to be part of the base price but it was sweet and tasty nonetheless. I tasted my boyfriend’s omelette with veggies and his buttered toast and they were both quite well made. Worth your while.
