Convenient location, comparable gas prices to those in the area and is usual kept neat/​clean. I’ve also been able to find some pretty good adult beverages for sale here that I wouldn’t expect in a small town.

Get & Zip is the NNK’s local chain of convenience stores. When I was a kid we’d call it all kinds of names — Rip and Zip, Rip and Run, Get and … well, something that rhymes with Zip. (You figure it out!)
Wife and I stopped in here to get a snack because the line at the Kilmarnock McDonald’s was hella-​long. (Which is not unusual). We just went with processed meat and cheese, but they do have a selection of 7−11-esque «meat in tube form», as Anthony Bourdain would say. I believe they had some other offering too, but I just wanted a small snack and wasn’t paying attention.
But when looking for a snack, something did grab my attention. Is that craft beer I see? Craft beer in a NNK convenience store? Why yes it was. It was a small selection of VA brews — Starr Hill’s «The Love», DBB Vienna, AleWerks Chesapeake Ale were the ones I recall. Of course, you’re going to pay convenience store prices (A sixer of Vienna was $ 10.50) but hey, at least its there! Good job Get and Rip and Zip and Run and Go.
