They always have a line and they are all super nice. Sometimes it takes forever to get your food but it’s worth it. Papa is great and we have been getting his cakes for YEARS

Food is good! But it took about 30 minutes to get our food. My husband asked for an omelette with no cheese and bacon, I ordered 3 carne asada tacos and one of carnitas, the tacos were amazing and with homemade tortillas! My husbands plate had cheese, not the business!

This is an authenic deli and bakery. The Tacos and Tortas were excellent. Chicken Tacos and Carnita Torta was what we ordered. The restroom was clean. The pastries looked fantastic.

I love this place, my husband and I travel north to see our families and we almost always stop in King City for a delicious treat. The last meal I had there was sopes and they were so good and I noticed they also have canela(cinnamon infused sweet tea) it was awesome. My husband had a veggie burrito, he claims they are the best he’s ever had.

What a great find! Stopped on our way to CalPoly and enjoyed burritos with chile verde and carnitas. Also a chilaquiles plate. Really delicious with freshly made tortillas. So good! Will definitely stop there again to try the bakery items.

Our new favorite place to grab a bite when traveling on 101. Great service, made-to-order menu, delicious pastries, convenient location off the freeway. Highly recommended! Note: bathroom could be cleaner, but the food and service make up for it.

Stopped here based on its rating and it did not let us down. Super friendly staff assisted with our order. Kids loved the Mexican bread. We got burritos. Reminded me of my mom’s cooking. Can’t go wrong with that. Family of 4 came out of there with drinks and all and it didn’t break the bank. If I was in the area again I would stop here without any hesitation. Thanks Castros!

After all the hype on Unilocal we decided to give this a try while passing through KC. Man were we disappointed. The torta was less than desirable, it was bland, cold and the roll was stale. The omelet was mediocre at best and the tortillas taste like a spoonful of flour, absolutely terrible. As we are apparently glutens for punishment we decided to try a churro for dessert, unfortunately another waste of money. Save your time and your money, there is a Taco Bell around the corner.

If you are passing through King City on the 101, plan to stop here for breakie. It was like drinking an orange when I tasted the freshly juiced OJ. Salsa has a kick but with a wonderful flavor. Totally down home, authentic Mexican food with great service and presentation. Don’t judge the looks of the place or you will miss a truly fabulous taste treat.

Stopped by to get breakfast, and thought I was in the middle of Mexico when I walked in. It was awesome. The menu on the wall was only in spanish(But the kid that took our order spoke english just fine), and a couple of families were eating at the other tables. I ordered the veggie burrito, and other than the tortilla being a bit oily for my taste, it was really good. It was like I was back in mexico. I was pleasantly surprised when the orange juice was freshly juiced on the spot. You don’t get that at american diners.

This is the best food I’ve eaten anywhere in a long time. The tortilla melts in your mouth. The Chile Verde is perfectly spicy and tender. The jamaica is tart and not too sweet. My soul dies within me to contemplate the money changing hands at KFC and Starbucks down the street. Fools!

I have to admit to not expecting much when stopping in this place. But hah! Looks can be deceiving!!! Hands down the best sweet potato empanadas I have ever had– and I have done a lot«research». The pastry was perfect with cinnamon, crisp edges and delicious not too sweet filling. Incredible. The lengua tacos were larger than expected with great toothsome corn tortillas. Classic meat, onion, cilantro w a side of lime and three salsas. Perfectly cooked meat. Not packaged all that well for take out and I could only manage to eat two of the three before I was full. Did I mention generous portions?! The place looked like it was closed with the chairs still up on the tables but the neon sign said open. And the interior is a little run down. No prices on the minimally informative menu board. Don’t be put off by any of this!!! This will be a Must Stop when ever I pass through this area. Easy on/off from 101.

Don’t judge a book by its cover!!! The food here is so tasty, flavorful and even the presentation is freshly put together. If I were rating on the looks of the place it may be alot lower because honestly if we hadn’t driven so far to try this place out(based on Unilocal reviews) I would’ve turned around and left without ordering anything. But years ago I was taught not to judge… SOGLADWESTAYED.

Best, freshest Central Valley breakfast you are going to find for miles around. Homemade tortillas. Come here after you’ve been camping at Indians or Arroyo Seco. If you live in King City, I’m sure you’re already there every day! We had breakfast burritos with thin slices ham, eggs, and perfect roasted potatoes. Croissants. Monterey chocolate coffee. Fresh carrot juice.

Don’t let the casual look of this place fool you. This place is amazing, just like eating at your abuelitas. The tortillas are homemade, the burritos are made with love and the salsa is spicy but sooo tasty. Ordered the juevos rancheros and a burrito — both were fresh and made perfectly. The bakery offers a lot of goodies for the road. Definitely a ‘must’ whether you live in Kings City or just passing through.

Just off the freeway in King City – you must stop by this place for a great breakfast! Homemade tortillas and fresh pan dulce cap off a great experience. I had the huevos rancheros and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. My husband had a veggie burrito with salsa that was spicy and had the flavor to match. It’s like eating at my mother’s house! The staff was friendly and even offered to add sautéed onions to the burrito which wasn’t on the menu. So much better than a chain restaurant!!!

Ok folks. I’m a Texan and as a Texan I find that I have the moral high ground when it comes to judging breakfast tacos and such fare. That said, this place is off the hook. Jewel in the rough hidden by a crappy Denny’s. Stop here for a roll, a sweet or a taco/burrito. So darn good. Red sauce is warm(hot to anyone north of Oklahoma) and delicious. I will be eating here regularly.

If you live in Central Cali, you will run into tons of small mom and pops bakery. This place serves ok tortas. I am a sucker for Mexican pastries and if you are too, you will like this place. For $ 15, I got one bag of assorted pastries, breads, and a carnita torta with the works!
