Your typical sports bar. The menu has all of what you’d expect, burgers, sandwiches, ribs, a few pasta dishes, tacos, and the typical appetizers. The few times I’ve been here it seems like the beer selection is not quite as good as the Champps location in Collegeville, I suppose because they have a larger bar and therefore more to offer on tap. Regardless, the service has always been good, and the food hits the spot. I almost always get the chicken tacos, although I’m a fan of the ribs too. Last time we went, she got a soup and a side salad and was very pleased with the serving size for the price.

Server was fine. But the restaurant was empty and there was still a half hour wait. Once seated we had servers debate over who gets served first. Then the chicken on my salad was watery and gross. The waitress then told us that the beer special we thought we wee getting was only part of happy hour, even though there was a big sign hanging that said may draft specials. Won’t be coming back any time soon.

Completely overpriced, $ 14 for chicken finger meal. Chicken is smaller then my thumb and only got 4 pieces. Insane. Might only pay $ 7. Seems about the right price for it.

I think it’s time for this place to close. It used to be a decent sports bar for a beer and quick bite, but we quit going about three years ago because of the mediocre food and high prices. Tonight we decided to try them again and it was a mistake. The waiter was very attentive but the food took forever and half the entrees were cold once they arrived. Worst of all, the area around our table reeked of stale beer and bleach. I didn’t even bother to complain this time. I just paid the check and left Champps for good. I think the place is in the typical death spiral for a money losing restaurant — it wasn’t even a quarter full at happy hour; the menus were stained; the tables were sticky; and their big screen TVs were down to their last handful of pixels. It’s sad, a well managed sports bar should do well in that location. Maybe the next place will be better.

One of, if not the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. I’m hard to really disappoint, but we waited an hour and a half for food that was very unappetizing. We got a plate of fries as compensation, but the service wasn’t great otherwise and didn’t make up for how bad everything else was. Soggy fries, cold ribs, batter stuck to the fish, and mediocre wings. Furthermore, the drinks were all sugar and no alcohol. Never again.

I love this place. The bartenders are friendly and the beer selection is great. The food used to be better as far as items I enjoyed. The cheesesteak– stir fry are gone. The wings and boneless wings are great as are the quesadillas. Becky — Dan — Kate– Mike — Steve — are your bartenders. You will do well with any of them. Joe and Rachel are excellent servers. The tvs around the bar were fairly recently installed. On one side the tvs are positioned too close and it’s an awkward feel. Decent place though — overall

So I have to say something about my experience at Champps last night in king of Prussia… I have been there plenty of times and have had amazing food however last night… not only was our server beyond rude whenever we order something his response was«yeah» and then my grilled chicken wrap came out along with all of our food and to say my chicken wasn’t done is an understatement. The chicken was brown and bloody and beyond mushy. I then called the waiter over to show him and he said«what you don’t like it?» Ummm no sir I don’t like bloody mushy chicken! He then said«do you want to order something else?» I then replied yes and he didn’t come back to get my order. I then had to grab him while he was at another table to ask for a cheeseburger WELL done! The manager came over and asked if I had reordered and I replied yes. He walked away and that was that! ½ hour later my cheeseburger came out and the bill comes with this at the bottom! «Didn’t like» didn’t like??? You served me raw chicken and I didn’t even get an apology let alone a comped meal as you can see I was charged for my cheeseburger! we even had to chase the waiter down for the check! I thought this entire ordeal was unacceptable and a disgrace of customer service! We will never go back again!

If you are looking for a place to have everything backwards this is the place to go! Main entrée comes before appetizers. Then you get your check with no print out of what you had so for all you know you could be paying someone else’s check. Must admit food was good.

I am not a fan of your typical chain sports bar restaurant with all the greasy, fried food, but I admit that Champps surprised me a bit on my recent visit. My company had an event here, aligned with the NCAA march madness thing(which is not MY thing, but whatever…), and St. Patty’s Day! The chicken nachos were great, as were the potato skins, and you could actually taste the individual flavors. Nice. But what really impressed all of us, was how hard our servers worked to make sure were we all happy, well-fed, and that no one ran out of a drink unless they wanted to. Our server, John, was especially top-notch. He worked tirelessly, weaving in and out of our large group, and making sure everyone had what they wanted. It was quite impressive. And the young lady behind the bar was no slouch either, smiling with every interaction. I cannot say I’d go out of my way to find a Champps sports bar, but I woudl certainly come back here for the excellent service.

We’ve been to Champps a few times, and I never really understood the negative ratings. But after last night, now I understand. After 10 minutes of waiting for our drinks, a new server arrived. She looked un-thrilled — she had that«they double seated the rookie, now I have to take your table» look on her face. It would be easier to tell you the things that went right, but here’s a list of things they got wrong… We didn’t get silverware until after our food arrived. My vegetable substitution didn’t happen. My medium rare steak was medium well. An entrée came out with the apps. The server was way too busy, so we were constantly waving at her for drink refills. The seared tuna was the worst cut of fish ever(in our app and fish tacos). It was marblely, like a Delmonico steak. It’s bar food, so it doesn’t have to be four star, but for a 26 dollar entrée… not worth it.

We have been huge fans of Champps for ten years. As another Unilocaler mentioned, the standards and quality have significantly declined over the years and it’s disappointing. It is very unsettling to be seated in view of the line and witness numerous unsanitary practices taking place in plain view of patrons. And although much of it seemingly went unnoticed by many, we couldn’t help but be disappointed in the low standards that appear to be tolerated in the KOP location. The cleanliness and best practices have really gone downhill. As devotees to Champps it has been bothersome to witness the deterioration of an establishment that has been what we refer to as «trusty dusty» because we could always count on it for good food and a good atmosphere. We could also always count on the awesome movie package that had been offered. We have brought friends and family over the years to take advantage of the great dinner and a movie deal. The last several times we’ve been there, we haven’t even been able to get movie tickets. It’s just another disappointing factor. Two major issues occurred during our last visit. 1. the lack of sanitary practices… a hair net should be mandatory with ANY facial! There are men with full beards on the line with nothing covering them. It’s gross. It made me not even want to order anything. 2. There should never be any cleaning of hoods above the ranges while the kitchen is actively in use. There is no assurance, when that is taking place, that particles are not becoming disturbed, and airborne, with the possibility of tainting meals that are being prepared for guests. We as patrons, put a lot of trust in the professionalism of the establishment so that contamination does not happen with possibilities of patrons getting sick… unfortunately, in my case, I got violently ill a couple of hours after we got home. It can be debated as to whether or not the two events are related, but I was not sick prior to dining at Champps and the sickness passed quickly so I can only assume it was the result of something ingested at the restaurant. I reached out to management and their lack of concern in regards to these issues was even more concerning. That being said, we don’t really feel comfortable returning to this restaurant. I don’t want to dine somewhere where I know cleanliness is not even a concern, let alone a priority. There are too many other dining options available to knowingly choose to return here.

Me and a co-worker came with a group and we both ordered the Jambalaya… the chicken came out completely raw. We sent the food back, but there was no apologies or anything. Serving undercooked chicken is a huge issue. When I say the food was undercooked, out if a piece about an inch thick, 8/10ths was completely raw… I had actually eaten a piece and thought it tasted off, I cut the second piece and as I was doing so my co-worker mentioned that his was raw. If I get food poisoning they(and the health department) will hear about it!

A reliable restaurant/bar serving, good, but not great food, but still with excellent service and lots of seating. Located right near the IMAX, a Nordstrom, and a Best Buy, I get the feeling the hate is because it’s KOP. I found everything to be perfectly adequate, from the service to the food to the general atmosphere. Champps is a spacious sports bar that serves food a bit better than your normal bar fare but similar to what you’d see in a chain restaurant. I ordered the Champps Club($ 11.50) with turkey, ham, Monterey jack and cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, served with sweet potato waffle fries for an extra dollar. It was a very good club sandwich, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. The real draw of the place is the waffle fries — perfectly cooked and you get a ton of them on the side to share. If you’re going to a movie or just want a spacious sports bar to catch the game while your significant other is shopping, Champps will fit the bill.

Had myself a GREAT burger with chicken breast instead of the meat patty. It was delicious, and so were the side of sauteed veggies. We had a little mishap with a spilled and broken glass and the manager came out to check and make sure everything was ok. Great service. Definitely a good option if you want to check it out before hitting the mall.

RELIABLE! If you’re a chain, and of course they are, that’s a good word. I have a habit of going here before I go to the movies and that was the case yesterday. Who wants to pay concession stand prices! The wait staff and bartenders have been reliably friendly and mostly competent. Most of the entrees are reliably huge and too much for most folks. I find that slightly annoying if you are dining alone and have no one to share with. I find most of the food decent but reliably under seasoned except for salt which is used with abandon at least to my tastes. As many have said, the waffle fries are reliably amazing! I spotted DEVILEDEGGS($ 7) on the menu and I can never resist them. There were six of these bad boys and they were topped with Applewood-smoked bacon, fresh tomato, and avocado. As you can see from my pic they were plated beautifully and looked damm good. Fortunately for me they were! To me this is a solid three star place. If you are there to watch a game probably 3 ½.

As far as the TV goes, the place really has it down. It is virtually impossible to not see a TV screen, no matter where you sit– which all and all is great for a sports bar. The food was mediocre and they also serve blue moons without an orange(whaaaaat?). If you order a cocktail, it’s going to be 70:30 sweetness to alcohol. Service was attentive but almost too so that it detracted from game watching.

My love for this bar(and it’s a bar, stop pretending it’s a restaurant!) has come and gone. Perhaps it will come back again, but right now I’m on a low plateau. The food isn’t great. This is why we need to stop pretending it’s a restaurant. The wings are decent, the nachos and quesadillas are good, but the sandwiches and main courses are hit and miss and not very memorable. They have a well stocked bar, with a lot of draft choices for everyone. I believe Champps also has drink specials, but they’re not well advertised on their website so I can’t comment on what they are now, only that I remember hearing about a few of them when I was going frequently. The environment can be good or bad, depending on what you’re looking for. If you are looking for a sports bar with a million televisions playing every game you can imagine, a bar that can at times be very loud and packed, and want to enjoy some fried food, Champps is great. If you don’t want that. Champs isn’t the bar for you. I loved it the most a few years back, when there were two really great bartenders. Becky and Tiffany. They not only easily handled a packed bar, made perfect drinks, but also took the time to get to know you and your drink orders so that it was in your hand by the time you sat down. Great service makes up a lot of what may lack in food and environment. The bartenders that I’ve had since they left are good, but not the best. Not enough to get me come back more frequently, but if I’m in the area and needing a drink, I don’t mind stopping in.

Our lunch was not good. I ordered a new menu – ahi tuna tacos. They were overdressed and underwhelming. In the past I have enjoyed the big pub food in sports bar atmosphere. And now it is feeling kind of sad. My lunch mates were excited for the gyro but they took it off the menu so everyone was disappointed. We like the gigantic soft pretzel but the sauces were lackluster… We asked for some honey mustard on the side to try to help the situation. One person at the table or something that looks pretty darn good and that was the pork street tacos, I had a bite and they were okay but could use some more seasoning. I’m sorry that this review is so lame but all in all our meal was not great and I’m just trying to be honest.

Don’t know why this place has such low reviews but being from Canada and having such expensive places to eat and drink I feel that Americans are so spoiled with the variety of things they have We came here on a Saturday nite to grab more drinks after going to a speakeasy, we wanted to goto bahama breeze but it was closing so we decided to check this place out at 1am… they had happy hour for $ 2 yeungling beer, dollar off cocktails and $ 5 appetizers!!! Can you believe the value we got for such a huge chili nachos for $ 5!!! You would never find this in Canada at all!!! And they were not shitty nachos too, they were actually pretty good, also ordered the chicken tenders but I was too full to eat any This is a large sports bar place with lots of tvs and seating

Decided to try Champps on a whim as we need to find a bar that was playing the Giants game in Philadelphia! This is a relatively large sports bar with varying size TV’s located throughout. There is a bar as well as a restuarant style seating area. We were immediately greeted by a hostess and I expressed a desire to be closest or in viewing range ofthe game. She omplied and placed us adjacent to a huge flat screen with the game on. For some reson, a couple of minutes later the channel was changed?! We told the waitress and the problem was immediately remedied. We started off with the giant pretzel(see pic) that we noted on another table. The pretzel hangs from a sort of banana holder lol. Aside from the presentation, It was ahhhhhmazing and I deifinitely recommend it. It came with queso and seeded mustard. Wasn’t crazy about the mustard and our waitress replaced it with another sid of queso. There’s a good beer selection(tap and bottle) and I was pleased to see that they had Rogue mocha porter(soooooooo good… if you like stouts and stout-like beers this is a MUST). I may be biased bc Rogue beers are my favorite. So I obviously started with this… For an entrée I ordered the Mahi tacos which were pan seared and cooked to perfection BUT def needs the mango salsa and/or reg salsa for the added flavor. A friend had the shrinp and steak combo which she really enjoyed. As I wasn’t sure of what some of the flavoring of the beers were the waitress was kind enough to bring over two free samples so that we were able to well, sample, the ‘foreign’ beer. I chose a seasonal stout which was good. For my third beer I had the Sam Adams Seasonal on tap. It was good until i was about 2⁄3 finished with the beer when I noted what looked to be a crack in the glass that extended from the bottom to the top. Well, my friend stuck her finger on the side of the glass and the ‘crack’ moved! It was a hair!!! I am not sure about you but I am completely repulsed and disgusted by this especially after I realized that there was no way it was my hair. We told the waitress who seemed equally disgusted and the manager came over. She was kind enough to «take the beer off the bill»(yes, that is sarcasm… of course she should have done that if not more!). Is customer service suffering these days or is it just me? In genera, l the venue was not overly busy but service was kind of below average and slow for some reason. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating though. Despite the ‘hair incident’ I believe I would visit Champps again.
