This is the final time I will ever give a cold stone money. After waiting inline for over 10 minutes, I was finally given the disappointing news that they were out of milk and could no longer make my requested milk shake. Hearing this news I though, hoe hum, no point in feeling sorry for myself, so I ordered a simple berry smoothie. Much to my disappointment, they were all out of blueberries, and could not make me my smoothie. After pondering and decoding the large menu in front of me, I settled on a «coldstone creation» or whatever nonsense they call it. When I was paying, the women who took my order(3 times), and made my order, had the nerve to tell me that two small ice creams costed 12 dollars. While the ice cream they serve is certainly no hand made gelato, and that they could not compensate me for not being able to complete my order twice, I gawked at the price out loud making sure everyone in line could hear. Cold stone creamery serves over sugared dairy product laced with candy to appeal to us Americans who find it alright to be charged 6 dollars for a small ice cream. The corporation as a whole ruins the lives of its franchisees and is incapable of making their wrongs, right. I highly suggest that we think twice before we indulge in cold stone, and hope that we can see past the fancy names and pretty colors to understand that we are being ripped off and scammed.

This shop has gone downhill with their move to the other side of the Plaza. Surly employees that are slow and can’t seem to get an order correct. I ordered a Founder’s Favorite — the ingredients are on a big board right there in front of them, but I got something completely different.

I got a birthday cake milkshake and damn near OD’d on the sugar. It was great at first, I really couldn’t believe it, but then by the time I got 3/5ths through it(was a large… errr unnecessarily greedy) I was sick of it! I didn’t want ANYMORESUGAROFANYKIND! It’s that strong! I hadn’t felt that way since the time I took a trip to the Just Born factory where they make Peeps. At the same time, it’s a testament to the quality of the ice cream… real cake… etc etc. I’d like to try it again or maybe something else, but only a small.

mmmm… Cheesecake Fantasy. Birthday remix is good too. There is always a line here but with good reason, the Ice Cream is good! You could get one of their signature creations or mix things up and create one of your own. I can’t eat more than a «Like It»(small) size cup. I’ve tried their waffle bowls before and although it tastes great, I just couldnt finish it. You also get very thirsty so you might as well buy some water or something while you’re at it.

Cold Stone is one of my favorite ice cream places. I love the Peanut Butter flavor, but they don’t always have it. I try to stick to the«Like it» size, as it’s so rich, I think I would be sick if I ate more than that. The downside of this location is it’s in the mall, which can be annoying if you are just going to get some ice cream, and the employees don’t give a little cheer anymore when you give them a tip like they used to.
