Compleat Strategist

Great little shop. Carried some gaming magazines that I couldn’t find in the city and found gamers who play historicals on my first visit. Great inventory of board games too!

I had an unpleasant service experience with Compleat Strategist, encountering a salesperson who was quite rude. No, thanks.

Good inventory of products from role play to board games. They very cool and hard to find stuff. They are very knowledgeable about gaming.

Compleat Strategist has good stock, but that’s about the only nice thing I can say of them. Their customer service is dreadful. Be prepared to have to wait at the counter for a long time until one of the people at the gaming table deigns to get up and wait on you. The last time I was in, I even got snarled at by the staff. The checkout procedure takes forever as they hand write everything on a carbon paper receipt. The store itself is dingy, dark and not especially clean.
If you have no other way to get gaming products, you can go there, but I would recommend staying away if at all possible. There are much better options out there, like Showcase Comics in Bryn Mawr and Games Keep in West Chester.
