I was driving past Amigo’s yesterday afternoon and decided to stop and give it a try… they have a drive-thru and I had our baby with us so it was really convenient. I had the fried pork burrito bowl with pintos… Delicious! Today we(me and our baby) returned at lunch time to a full parking lot. Looks like others have discovered this 3mo old restaurant. This time I got a fried pork burrito, medium queso dip, and a tamale(not on the drive-thru menu… Well worth $ 3!). Well worth the few minutes drive to visit!

I will be completely honest. A month ago we swore we would NEVER try this place again. Everything from food to service was horrible. Our friend suggested we give them another try and said something had changed, so we did. Hands down the BEST Mexican food in King. We talked to the managers and they got a new wait staff and cooks. So so so much better. If you got the same service we did last month, throw away ALL those thoughts! Give them another shot! I can not say enough about how wonderful our experience was tonight! We talked to Ricardo the owner and he said he knew it was bad and called his mom who lives in Mexico for advice. She told him to shut the doors for a few days and get it together. Whatever they did worked! I highly recommend this restaurant for true authentic Mexican food! This is EXACTLY what King was needing!

Server was friendly, and my tea was good. I got the enchiladas rancheros, which came with a bean, cheese, chicken and beef enchilada. The beef had a funny taste. I let my son try it, and he thought the same. Didn’t care for that. The other enchiladas were okay. Salsa and chips before the meal were fine. My son got the authentic tacos, and he said the al pastor was the best.(he also got chicken and barbacoa) I tried the al pastor, and it was good. Had some pineapple and cooked onions in it. The best part of the meal was the free dessert, with the homemade caramel. It was killer.

ill write as i eat. we come in and it is more comfortable than the previous occupant had it. i believe it is the owner who greets and seats us. very nice guy. we talk mex food for a minute. he surprised me by having barbacoa and lingua on the menu. i asked if he had cabasa and he said maybe in the future. rather than just chips and salsa they serve pico also. i got the barbacoa sub(torta) and my son(who never eats his food) got the very reasonably priced supreme taco with shredded chicken. he finished the whole thing. i almost finished the massive torta. the owner, Ricardo, seems like a nice guy, he knows how to treat guests, he knows how to treat kids. it was a really good meal and experience. i hate to say that the location is a bit of am albatross as the previous 3 establishments have gone under. i hope the same fait doesnt follow this place. they have real good food… and its a half mile from my house. i cant gripe. if you get a chance come up to King and get some really good mex grill grub. i want to see this place do well because the food and people are solid. Oh, the sopapias are gratis and come with homemade caramel. Nice treat

Same as all the others. Not a vestige of heat(temperature). The chalupa shell was chewy not crisp.

There are a few Mexican restaurants in King, but none like this. This is the real deal. The menu is expansive and they have weekend specials that are beyond the pale. The place is kinda outta the way but well worth the trip. The food is home made and there is no hint of casa microwavo; one can see into the kitchen and see mom and dad making the food. I had the molcajete with green salsa; it was something I had never had and it was really good. The vegetables are really fresh and not over cooked; the chicken was tender and tasty. And, they are open at five am for breakfast. Don’t think twice; follow my advice. You won’t regret it.
