I was unable to get a mani/​pedi before I left town for a trip to Tahoe so ended up going to see Corki at this cute salon near Kings Beach. When I was stuck in traffic and running late for my appointment, she happily called one of her «regulars» and switched our times so I was still able to get my mani/​pedi done.
Atmosphere was relaxing and clean.
Corki is great fun to talk to. She is meticulous and my nails and toes have held up great. I actually had fun getting my nails done!

Thank you Shannon! I called her to save a bad haircut and although she didn’t have much to work with she did a great job and I left feeling so good and relieved that I wouldn’t have to wear a bag over my head on my vacation! The salon is lovely and I will definitely be back.

Shannon has been doing my hair for years and she is amazing! She is super sweet and personable and makes you feel comfortable during the appointment. Shannon is very talented and can basically do any kind of hair from what I have seen. I let her cut off a foot of my hair and she did a wonderful job! She also did my hair for my wedding and it was perfect! I highy recommend Shannon and Upstairs Salon!

Corki is the sweetest, most helpful person and her little upstairs space is great. She’s the only gal doing nails there so this is definitely more of a private spa type experience. She did a wonderful job and had many great pointers about places to visit in the area. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town!

Corki is a fabulous one woman show. I was looking for a good mani/​pedi while in Tahoe for a few days. I drove up from Tahoe City where we were staying and it was well worth the drive. She is a sweet lady that is great at her job. Call ahead for an appt because she gets booked up. I will for sure go back next time I’m in town.

Corki is the best! I so enjoyed my pedicure — she fit me right in and she was not rushed and did a great job, advising me on a new type of polish and just taking her time every step of the way. This is my new guilty pleasure — monthly pedicures with Corki!

Fabulous! Corky is a one person perfectionist she has a clean upscale studio with your own footisie bath (awesome) and she does and amazing pedicure and Manicures too !!!

I was so happy with Corki’s pedicure… I was there 2 hours since my feet were so over due and she did not complain how much work I needed. Truly happy to find someone in Kings Beach that will do a job so well for me.
She used great products and recommended items for me to buy, and didn’t even have items to sell. I suggested she get some.

A friend brought me here for a manicure/​pedicure with Corki and it was one of the best nail treatments I’ve ever had, at Tahoe or anywhere else. She spent a good two hours perfecting my nails and the results have held up significantly better than average. My manicure didn’t have a single chip until day 6 and my pedicure is still perfect more than a week later. Her prices are reasonable as well ($ 20 for a manicure, $ 35 for a pedicure).
If you want a great spa-​quality experience, go Upstairs.

After my tangerine experience I realized that I didn’t ask for what I really wanted because I was too scared about what might happen to my hair! My mom discovered this small salon located in the upstairs corner of a small furniture store in Kings Beach. Not only was the salon far more comfortable, I really trusted Shannon and she did an amazing job with my hair and color, and the price was much better than tangerine.
Maybe I’ll try another place in Reno eventually but for now this is the perfect spot!
