I always tell myself never again with the takeout, because it’s very disappointing(both in size and in quality) compared to getting food fresh in the bar, but it’s convenient so I’ve gone back time and time again. Tonight I ordered a dozen wings to go, and realized I was shorted a wing, not a big deal, but when the wings cost over a $ 1 each, a little annoying. I was asked if I wanted to come back in, and when I said I could not, was told«yeah sorry it happens sometimes». And that was it. Barely an apology. No offer to have it made up to me at another time when I could come back in. Not a great way to keep customers. A little customer services goes a long way. Needless to say, I won’t be returning for takeout, despite the convenience.

This is Finna’s third year of mediocrity. One can only assume that they are aware of the reviews on this page. Evidently, being marginal in the service portion of their business is still profitable, so I see no reason to expect any changes. This was my first and last time going here. As someone said, the Charlie Horse is just down the road, so why go here. A bar in this day and age is a dying breed in a small town where you must drive home. I wish they would improve, but after three years I doubt it will happen. The don’t even have the courtesty to reply on Unilocal. So, our opinions obviously do not matter.

Sports bar. I always have a better time when I come here for a burger or a sandwich and beer. Sitting in the bar to watch a game or just play Keno is a good time. The bartenders are friendly and talkative. My experience in the dining room just doesn’t live up to the same level. My step-son does love to try the many different flavors of wings, so we have ordered them for take-out too.

Girl to guy ratio currently is 15 males and 2 females. The lame pop music is playing in the background but at least the bands aren’t playing … This place does lame cover bands with no stage, lighting or sound system. I assume there is some reason 17 of us are here but I suspect it’s just because it’s the only place open in the area. I’ve tried the food here 3 times Its so close to my house but I don’t bother anymore. I can get a slice of pepperoni from cumby’s for 99 cents and be much happier. The menu is as lack luster as there poor attempt at doing live music Actually I’m leaving, why am I even here writing this review ?!

This is a nice bar. It’s a bar. Decent set up for darts. Only complaint is it’s a little dark. Great, super friendly bartender and waitresses. The pizza was fine — not great but regular bar pizza. A friend had a burger and he said it was excellent. It looked good. Keno and a big bar with a lot of seats and a good beer selection. They also offer 16 or 20 ounce beers and pour mixed drinks in pint glasses. All good.

I’m not sure I understand some of the poor reviews for this place. Came here with my wife and 13 year old son, was seated immediately and greeted by a very friendly server. The wait time between seating and ordering was short, as was the wait between ordering and eating. I ordered the Rancher’s Pie(Think Shepard’s Pie with a kick), which was absolutely delicious and very filling. My wife and son both ordered the Cheeseburger Club and enjoyed it very much. No complaints whatsoever. I’m giving it 5 stars based on the quality and quantity of food, the service and the overall atmosphere. I will definitely go back and would recommend Finna’s to friends and family.

Being Kingston people maybe this review will be biased. My husband and I ate and drank at Finnas for our second date. It had a great atmosphere, good food and decent priced beers. It’s been about three years and we will on occasion go to finnas. There is nothing wrong with the food or drinks, but it’s a pub. A pub that serves better than bar food. The service has always been good, and we have never waited long to sit or be served.

LOVELOVELOVE their pterodactyl wings! My fiancé and I go there weekly just for the wings. So good! We’ve never had any issues with the staff, like some people had mentioned. The owner, Trevor, is really nice. He’s always running around making sure everything is taken care of, cooking in the back, or checking in with customers to see how things are going. Great place, great people, great food! Getting hungry just thinking about Finna’s !! Go check it out for yourself. Don’t listen to all of the lame complainers on here.

I wish I could say this place was, well, anything. We decided to try it after hearing about a friend who enjoyed it. I saw potato skins on the menu and as it is something my currently pregnant body cried out for, we planned to go here for dinner. Yes, we arrived a little after 7 on a Friday night. As it is both a restaurant and a bar, I knew it would be busy. My husband ran in to check on wait times as we had an increasingly hungry toddler with us. He was told under 10 minutes and we were seated right away. The hostess is the only reason this isn’t a one star review. She was very good with my son and actually checked on us. Our waiter or waitress never showed. No apparent default bowl of popcorn, no drink order. Nothing. Twenty five minutes later with a toddler about to meltdown who had told me he was hungry no less than four times, we left. Nobody seemed to notice. Part of the issue may stem from the dining room being in two parts but I swear I saw one waitress once when we first sat down and then nothing to any other table on our side. I’m currently in the parking lot of a chain restaurant watching my husband get our«to go» order which all told took shorter to order and get than the entire time spent at Finna’s Tavern. Will we try it again? Sure. Probably not on a Friday and possibly takeout if that’s an option to assure service. I have to say I’m really disappointed. We would have been willing to stay if we at least had seen our server but unfortunately that was not the case. An hour and half later, we are finally sitting down to eat. I wonder if they’ve even noticed we left.

This place is OK my food wasn’t terrible but wasn’t good either and portions were small. First time I went it was very mediocre so I decided to give it another chance and went again. Both times I said to the wife«I wish we went to the Charlie Horse» it’s just a little further down the road and much better. I would not go back.

After the reading the reviews expected below average to average food. The burgers were great ! Better than most local restaurants. Fries also very good and the beer was cold. Tons of TV’s and the bar service was excellent.

I think people expect too much… It’s a towny place and it’s awesome. Low key and easy going. Maybe the food isn’t the best(haven’t tried) but it’s a place you can come and relax without dealing with the nonsense of an upscale place. There’s keno, sports, drinks and a fireplace… it’s awesome! People need to chill out with the reviews.

We went to Finna’s for the first time Monday on the way home from the Cape. We sat on the short side of the bar! I loved that; being short sucks b/c my legs usually dandle from the bar seat, not on the short side of the bar! Got a modified taco salad and they got it right the first time it was delicious. My friend got a fried chicken sandwich with fries that looked awesome. The fries were so good I ended up ordering a side order to go with my salad! LOVE that they have woodchuck on tap! Bartender was attentive and always kept my water glass full! I’ll be back, there is lots more I want to try!

Pretty average, but it’s fairly clean given it’s newness… The location gives it a great advantage being on a busy road, as well as being tucked in between many towns, making it a short ride from Ply, Dux, Kingston, Pembroke, etc, A strong theme, uniquness would drive this places business thru the roof, but they opted to go with the usual sports pub, casual place you see all over the south shore… I started with a Wachussett Blueberry Ale, which is always a good beer, but I was surprised that it was $ 6.50 — even more than they charge at the BBC, which most will agree, have high prices… the food was very bland with no flair. Although I only got a grilled chicken roll up, it was 75% wrap with very little meat, lettuce and tomato. I cant say the servive was poor, as the girl who served me was nice, and kept checking in with me. All in all, if you live down the street, this is a decent place to pop into for a game(nice TVs), otherwise, for a destination dining experience, you will probably be dissapointed, as its one of a million.

MANAGEMENTPLEASEREADTHIS — so its a good spot and exactly what I would expect for a place in this location. Here is the thing you need better service. your floor staff is good but the bar staff seems to have never worked in a bar before. I am there on a regular basis and I see it again and again. The staff is often distracted, speaking with friends or talking among themselves, I have had it take 10 minutes to ask me if I want a new drink and I have also waited 10 – 15 to pay a check with cash sitting on the bar. I am not knocking everything, people are friendly and I am not expecting a perfectly mixed sidecar. I like what you do, but please do not write off one section of your clientele for another group that only wants 3 dollar drafts and excepts inattentive service,

About 20 – 25 mins into my first visit to Finna’s, I was ready to write a scathing review about the service — the waitress had checked in on us a few mins after being sat, but we weren’t ready to order yet(given that we’d literally JUST sat down). Fast forward 20+ minutes later — all ready to place our dinner order, but our waitress was MIA. She did come back to us eventually, wholly apologetic, and admitted that she’d been filling salad dressings and kind of forgotten about us. Not the best thing to do, but the fact that she admitted to the wrongdoing and seemed genuinely sorry about it went a LONG way.(As opposed to just brushing it off /acting like nothing wrong had happened — this review would have been much more… colorful.) The place is definitely a sports bar now — no confusion w/the Italian restaurant that used to be at the same location. But it’s bright, clean-looking; there’s decent separation b/w the bar and some booths/tables. Instead of bread/rolls, you can have a bowl of popcorn for snacking. The menu is casual-fare — focus is more on burgers/sandwiches/pizza than entrees(there are a few — parmesan peppercorn turkey tips sounded pretty good). My husband ended up getting a cup of chili, I got the Finna’s salad, and we shared some wings. The chili was only ok(according to him, I didn’t try it) — he said the flavor was good, but it was too meaty(he compared the look of it to something we’d feed our dog). The salad was good — pretty chock full of blue cheese, cranberries & candied walnuts; apple cider dressing was really good. The wings were REALLY good — came out fresh from the fryer(we went with boneless) and smothered in sauce.(Dear Finna’s — some kind of wetnap would be greatly appreciated.) There are a bunch of sauces to choose from, and you can do 2 different kinds in an order — we went with Hot Honey BBQ and Pterodactyl. Pterodactyl(some crazy blend of terryaki, garlic, honey, awesomeness) was definitely the favorite but both were delicious. And the Lg was a massive amount — ended up taking home about ½ the order. The waitress also gave us the tip that during football games, they do all-you-can-eat wings for $ 9.99. Chances of us going back to watch a game and leaving 5(10?) lbs heavier and covered in BBQ sauce = HIGH.

Stopped here today — definitely a plus over Paisano’s. Enjoyed the atmosphere plenty of TV’s for watching any game. I had the Finna’s salad — which consisted of greens, cranberries, candied pecans, and green apples. I added grilled chicken which was cooked perfectly but could have had a larger portion. There were also only 4 thin slivers of apples — there could have been more. Overall good though everything was fresh. I will go back — many folks ordered the wings and they all looked and smelled good — would like to try them.
