Percy’s is a New England tradition, claiming and I believe it, new England’s largest breakfast menu. It is a family run business and they have a number of south shore locations. A large omlette selection including one with stuffing and turkey and the works and really great pancakes. I also highly recommend the Benedicts here. Every plate used to automatically come with Boston baked beans and now it’s one of your selected sides, but all in all, great breakfasts.

Last two times I’ve had breakfast here have been pretty bad. Whoever cooks the eggs must like them very well done because they are hard to chew. Good omelets are light and fluffy. Their omelets are like rubber and you need a knife to cut them. On to the homefries, greasy, blackened, sitting for a long time taste. Pretty disgusting. Should have learned from the last time I was there but was hungry and passing by. Won’t be back!

Had late breakfast at Persy’s Place in Kingston today. The girl at the door told us we’d have a 5 – 10 minute wait but it was really only about 2 minutes. All the tables were full and the staff was hustling. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Now on to the real reason for this review– FOOD! I had what I always have, a side order of biscuits and gravy and a side of hash browns. It’s always good, better than anywhere else and that’s why I get it there, but today it was fantastic! My family is from the mid-west and my mom makes a mean plate of biscuits and gravy but the cook there today could give her a real run for her money and that’s the highest compliment I can give when it comes to biscuits and gravy! Also the hash browns were cooked to perfection, plenty of crispy parts mixed in with softer parts. My only complaint is that when I scraped my plate clean, it was all gone! I wasn’t even hungry anymore but I could have eaten another plateful just because it was so good.

Great place. Busy, busy. Good wait staff. Kind of pricey — expect to pay between $ 30 – 40 for a couple. But good quality breakfast. I recommend perseys!

Date of service: Dec 24, 2014 Meal: Breakfast, Eat in All Ratings out of 10: Quality of food: 6 Food to Spend Value: 8 Quality of Service: 5 Overall Rating: 6 Persy’s Place is a local chain in the greater Boston area that claims to have the largest breakfast and lunch menu in New England. I don’t know if I quite buy that, but they do have quite a few options. I went with some family on the morning of Christmas Eve, looking forward to enjoying a hearty breakfast. The menu is large, but upon closer examination you realize that they really serve a smaller set of items and then pair them with different main components. Either way, this does provide a good number of eating options. It is easy to get stuck trying to decide what you want. On this morning I went for the Endless eggs, which allows you to have unlimited eggs cooked the way you want with 2 sunrise sides. I got my eggs poached and added home fries and applesauce. I also got a side of bacon since I like having bacon with breakfast. The initial plate came out with probably 7 poached eggs, so I ended up not reordering since I was pretty full when I was done. The poached eggs came with hollandaise sauce and were good but not fantastic. The home fries were tasty, but not as good as what Thornton’s serves. The bacon was good but not great, and the same can be said for the applesauce. Overall the food was tasty and filling but not amazing. Persey’s prices are great, and the portions are generous, so you get a lot of food for your money. The service was pretty average(and has been every time I have gone), and the food is also average, tasting good but nothing that will blow you away. Persey’s is a great choice for a lot of variety and good prices, but I have certainly had a better breakfast elsewhere.

We just left a delicious breakfast at persy’s. We r in Kingston visiting my sister and decided to go out to breakfast. What an excellent spot. The menu is huge and the food was to die for. My husband and I both got eggs, toast, bacon and wheat bread. Bread seemed like it was homemade! Yum. They also have an option to load your home fries with different options, I went for the melted cheese sauce… it made the meal. I couldn’t finish it but boy did I want to. We also had our daughter with us. Out waitress, Tiffany, was perfect. She was accommodating and very friendly. She was ready to take our order and helpful with the menu. She brought our daughters pancake out first so she didn’t get antsy. Our food came out quickly and everything was so delicious. Tiffany came over several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I can’t decide which was better, the service or the food! We will defiantly be visiting again

We go here about once a week. Good is always yummy. Service is always decent. I love the maple walnut waffles. They had on special once bacon bits cooked inside so now I ask for it & they always accommodate. The pancake plates are huge so plan to split or take some home!

I’ve been to this Persy’s location on 2 separate occassions with a large party(6 – 8 adults &2 – 4 young children). This location has very limited seating and it appears any party of 6+ will end up waiting a minimum of 20 minutes for a table to be put together. My first trip was decent over a year ago. This is in regards to a very recent trip in July 2014. Their parking situation is terrible. The parking basically represents their seating availability. If you see their lot is full, it likely means there’s a wait for any table. Seating, as I noted, for a party of 7 adults &3 kids(2 high chairs) too 20 – 30 minutes to be seated. We were seated in the same location as my previous trip here, which is in a back room and in very tight quarters. So I will say this is clearly not a good Group Breakfast option. I will say the staff is VERY nice and our waitress was constantly checking on our table. Coffee/drinks did come immediately. That being said, my entire party was then served their orders… except for myself. I had to bring it to the waitresses attention that I still did not receive my order. I was soon there after brought a side of 2 pancakes that came with my special. Two large but«crunchy» pancakes. I really have no clue HOW you make a pancake as stiff as these two were. I didn’t end up even touching them after making a difficult first bite. About 10 minutes later I received my order(nothing over the top — scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns cornbread) but the entire plate was lacking in any sort of flavor. Their sausage was bland, the hash browns looked like they were rushed off the stove and the eggs were extraordinarily dry. Worst of all was the grilled corn bread. On my previous trip there, it was excellent, but this time it was the worst thing on the plate. Not sure if they made an unfortunate change to their recipe or it was just a bad batch. Again this review has nothing to do with their staff who was very courteous while we waited & were served. It just wasn’t worth the wait for the food & seating situation.

Food was just ok. Corned beef hash was big serving, but short on flavor. They sat me at the front most table, by the reception and forgot about me on most coffee refill /water loops. I had to flag both servers down to get service. Provided a box with a long hair in it. My hair is close cropped… Gross.

I like this place a lot for breakfast. They are very busy on the weekends but the wait usually isn’t too long, as they are very good at getting people in and out. The food is good with tons of choices. I usually get blueberry pancakes with a side of sausages. Yum! The coffee isn’t great, but is usually decent, which is more than I can say for a lot of breakfast places. They’re accommodating to young kids, with children’s menus, kid cups, and crayons. older kids(and adults) will like the brain-teasers and trivia cards on the tables! The décor is country but it’s very CLEAN, tasteful country. You know how some places just go over the top and miss the mark; it ends up looking like someone threw heaps of dusty old garbage everywhere. This place succeeds in looking neat, cheerful, and cozy. The service is always great. Every time we’ve been here, the servers have been friendly and fast. On the downside, the prices do seem a bit high for breakfast. My husband, 3 year old son and I went yesterday and the bill came to $ 47(before tip). Portions of some things(pancakes) are HUGE, but meat sides(sausage/bacon) are pretty skimpy. I know there are other breakfast places where we could eat for about half the amount, but Persy’s is close-by, and we really do enjoy it every time we go. Also, they give you a coupon for a(tiny) loaf of cornbread on your next visit… that’s worth something. ;-) One other thing worth mentioning is that parking can be tough on the weekends. People often park across the street at what used to be La Paloma, but the street is very busy so if you do this, BECAREFUL. Drop off kids with another adult at the door first, if possible.

Persy’s Place in Kingston is awful. My first experience was okay, but the last subsequent experiences have been lackluster enough to take to Unilocal to write about. 1) Parking — Persy’s does not have enough parking to accomodate their restaurant. People doublepark outside and you can very easily get trapped. 2) We went on a Sunday morning around 11am. We expected it to be popular. We did not anticipate a *35* minute wait. 3) When we were seated, we were greeted by the drink«server» who brought us coffee and water asap… however our waitress took another 15 minutes to come take our order. I am not sure if she was a trainee, but she was incredibly unpleasant and seemed annoyed by my life threatening food allergy. 4) After fighting through all the above annoyances, when our food came it was ice COLD and had hair in it. 5) DIRTY utensils. 1 star because I have to…

I like Persey’s Place and can’t argue with the service in Kingston. I have to say I’ve had a better breakfast before. I went in for Bacon, Eggs and Sausage and Home Fries and pancakes. The meal was okay but sausage was rubbery and the home fries were undercooked. I had just worked a 16 hour overnight shift so I was happy to have a hot breakfast but eh, I wasn’t really impressed.

Persy’s has the biggest breakfast & lunch menu in New England. The service was very good. The ambiance is like colonial farmhouse décor. The eggs were alright. The white bread tasted like it was homemade. The potatoes were overcooked. The bacon looked very fresh, but didn’t have a lot of flavor. The baked beans weren’t fresh. I didn’t see any butter on the table. Maybe I’ll try something different next time like Johnny Cakes, or Eggs Theodore, or one of their crepes.

My Grandparents used to live on the Plymouth/Kingston line, so we would usually try to meet them there if we were in the mood for some breakfast food. I like this Persy’s a little better than the one Downtown(Plymouth) because they have their own private parking lot. The hours are breakfast/lunch hours, which is good since I like an early breakfast. Very large menu. Pancakes, waffles, omelets, and eggs done any way you can think. They are one of those breakfast places that has baked beans with their entrees. I like and dislike this. Sometimes I’m just not in the mood(and would rather have more homefries!) This is much better than Cracker Barrel having grits! Reasonably priced food. What I don’t understand is their size of glasses. A large milk is basically a small. I could drink 4 of those in one sitting. Give me a REAL milk glass. I’m an adult, I think I can drink an entire glass of milk. One of the better breakfast chains in South Eastern MA.

Awesome. I ate here for breakfast as a kid and I recently went back after about a decade of absence. It’s as good as I remember. Huge… no, ENORMOUS breakfast portions. The Eggs Oscar is a major WIN and I highly recommend it. What’s better than lobster? Lobster for breakfast.

One of my favorite breakfast places. Enjoyed another great breakfast this morning. I love corn-beef hash(even from a can) but Persy’s makes their own! Portions and quality are huge here. Bring your appetite. Service is prompt and the place shines — very clean! There are multiple locations on the south shore including the cape. I love the on in Kingston with the private booths. The menu says largest in New England — I would believe it even thought I get the same thing every time I still look it over. Definitely worth the drive if you live outside the area.

I went here for lunch today, which I guess was my first mistake since they’re basically a breakfast place. We got there at 1 in the afternoon and the breakfast crowd was still in high gear. We were seated right away, and then promptly waited for the one waitress on duty for almost 20 minutes. She ended up being fun and sang all of our orders to us(which usually gets a huge tip from me) but everything went down hill after that. They ran out of clam chowder(I had been craving it all day) and my Turkey Bacon BLT was just not what I expected. The bread was stale and the sandwich as a whole was completely lackluster. I got marinated mushrooms on the side, and they tasted like they were marinated in something quite unpleasant. I began wondering if my meal was the only one out of the three of us that wasn’t up to par, but I tried the hash browns from one plate and a turkey wrap from another, and was also disappointed. I would go back here to try to breakfast, but I will never go again for lunch.
