As far as fast food burgers go this one is the best. It’s great that you can actually choose what you want on the burger instead of going through a list of stuff you want them to remove(which is what happens if I go to Burger King or McDonald’s). Keep it up!

Based on the amount of calories alone, I’ve stayed away from Five Guys. We were driving home from Massachusetts and needed a driving break. My husband insisted that eating here was worth the calories. He was right! I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms. That first bite was so, so, good! Juicy, plenty of toppings, and hot. My husband got a plain cheeseburger with bacon… equally as good. He also ordered the malted milk shake. I took a sip and it was delicious. We also got two small fries. If that was small, I’d hate to see the large fries. One small was plenty for the two of us. They were a bit greasy but still nice and crispy. I didn’t go into the restaurant and we ate in the car so I can’t review on the interior.

My favorite place to grab a delicious and fresh burger with some equally delicious fries. My only complaint is this locations tends to get a little messy but in there defense they seem to be a little short handed and they get very busy.

I tried this place after hearing a lot about it and was not so impressed. I requested my burger be cooked to «medium», but it was overcooked, dry, and not so tasty. The fries were a mushy mess, not done well for a place that only cooks burgers and fries! It overpriced as well, IMO. The atmosphere inside was raucous and chaotic, run by teenagers. Not my idea of a place to enjoy a meal. I would not return.

I don’t eat a lot of red meat generally, but I positively crave 5 Guys cheeseburgers with grilled mushrooms and fresh jalapeños(I love that you can choose any toppings from a pretty long list). The fry portions are huge. They just started serving milkshakes(I tried the peanut butter one and it was scrumptious), which makes this place just about perfect for the occassional indulgence.

Delicious, huge, hot, and savory… what else could you ask for. They are large though I may go for the little one next time. French Fries are awesome with the skin on very tasty.

My husband and I are always amazed that this place manages to win awards and accolades. We find their burgers to be tasteless and incredibly overpriced. Only cool thing about it was the sign pinpointing the geographic location where the potatoes happened to come from that day. But a cool gimmick is still not enough to make up for the disappointing food. We tried them when they were new in town, and never went back.

Love that no matter what, Five Guy’s is consistent from New York to Oklahoma and everywhere in between! You can always get a great burger here no matter what! Yum!

I like the way you can get what you like on the burgers. The burgers are good. The fries are tasty but very greasy. The prices are expensive. Try it for yourself if you have extra money burning a hole in your pocket then go.

Five Guys is usually great but this particular location has forgotten to put the patty on my burger… twice. You work at a burger place. This should not be so difficult.

I always enjoy coming to Five Guys when I am craving a burger. You know where your meat and fries are coming from. The toppings are fresh and you get a nice variety to choose from. The burgers are a bit more expensive than McDonald’s down the street, but you really get what you pay for. The burgers are fresh and juicy, and the fries are crisp and fresh. Plus, you get an extra scoop of fries in the bag. Score! Definitely recommend with a bunch of napkins to satisfy your burger cravings.

I’m not a fan of chain restaurants, but this place is spot on. If you want a great burger and fries you can’t go wrong. So yes this is a 5 star burger joint. It’s a 2 – 3 star restaurant and not a place I’d take date to, but when I want to treat myself and self indulge in a couple thousand calories, it’s on my short list.

Let’s face it, this is the best fast food you’re going to get in the Ulster County area. Burgers are always fresh and delicious, the hot dogs are tasty, the potatoes for the fries are delivered new every day, and the choices for toppings are broader than you get it most places. They always add an extra scoop of fries to the bag so unless you’re extremely ravenous you don’t need more than a regular order which is actually enough for 2 people at least! The regular burger is a double stack, be aware. The junior burger is enough for one person, especially if you load up on veggie toppings. The only fast food burger chain I know to be better is In n Out burgers and they’re not coming here anytime soon!

So… Five Guys. A chain burger place that gets raved about pretty much anytime someone brings it up in conversation. I had tried them before, and thought they were good but because they were a chain, I automatically assumed they all would taste the same anywhere I went. And so I sort of forgot about the one in Kingston. Man was I missing out. It turns out not ALL Five Guys are created equal. The one in Kingston is a GREAT location. For some reason unknown to me, the burgers are juicier, meatier and all around better tasting than any I’ve had before. When I crave a burger, this is what I want. I apparently associate«burger» with«Five Guys» now. Worse things have happened I suppose. I’m kind of also obsessed with their cajun fries, although they always give me SOMANYFRIES. I’m not really complaining, I just can’t eat them all in one sitting since I usually have already consumed a burger the size of a toddler by the time I get to the fries. On another note, am I the only one who still gets giddy when I walk into Five Guys and realize I can put whatever toppings I want on my burger with NOEXTRACHARGE?! This is a crazy, amazingly awesome thing for me. Especially because I’m one of those weird people who doesn’t particularly like ketchup and would rather have mustard. I know, I’m a freak; sue me! Anyways, I’m gonna go back to dreaming about Five Guys and when I get the chance to go back and order a bacon cheeseburger…

I love Five Guys. I’ve reviewed 3 of them so far, actually. If you need a more detailed review, check those out. This one is not much different than the others… they all have the same formula for success– tasty, inexpensive burgers and fries, made quick, friendly staff, and a clean dining area. Not much more to it than that.

YUMMMM. I’m not a burger person but this is the only burger I’ll actually crave. Crispy and juicy. And the fries are really good too.

I think Five Guys is good, but not«Great»! Biased by my «In-and-Out» Burger past I was underwhelmed by the 5 Guys experience. Everyone I talk to says they felt un-well after the fatty Five Guys burger and fries; I survived without ill-effects but am not craving another.

Good for a chain, but if you love a fresh, local beef, hand made, yummy burger, head over to Red Hook to Uncle Chippies. Uncle Chippie’s beats Five Guys hand’s down.

Are you fucking kidding me? I usually don’t start my reviews like this. People who know my reviews know I usually start the colorful language a few sentences in. WOW!!! For almost a year, I’ve read my NYC Unilocalers rave about Five Guys…“best burger ever!”, «greatest thing on earth», etc… you get my drift. I feel like an asshole because I WAITED over a month since they opened in good ol’ Kingston to give them a try. WHY? WHY did I wait SOLONG? There are very few places(in my humble opinion) outside of NYC that makes a really great burger. Five Guys started in DC? Why did it take them that long to get up here?! I had the bacon cheese burger with EVERYTHING on it. Why not? Go big or shake your ass home… Yeah, I shook it home with the best burger I’ve had since 97. The fries were on point… let me re-phrase…my sack-o-fries were delicious as hell man! I will stalk this establishment til the end of days. Futhermore… I know Sam Jackson Lager is a figment of Dave Chappelle’s imagination, but I wanted one to have with this burger bitch!!! I haven’t had an orgy like this in my mouth since I first had Skittles son. Now if someone brought back Smurf-Berry Crunch, my life would be complete…
