So I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and it arrived wrapped in plain white paper and luke warm to the touch. When I unwrapped it, it was warm around the edges and the center was ice cold. I brought this to their attention, and instead of replacing the burrito with fresh hot ones, they just popped them in the microwave. I know it’s not a fancy restaurant or anything, but I expect some consistancy with the food.

Yesterday’s Friday-night experience was adequately-better than many times, many Friday nights before. I ordered a Shamrock Shake and that’s exactly what I got within a much better time with an employee with a better attitude towards the company. And when I went to sit down, no tables were dirty. Yes, there seemed to have been a cold-air draft where I was sitting, but it overall was a much more pleasurable experience and now something I can re-comment to my offline friends on. Yes, prices for these shakes are of an increased price, but they are still within reason for something that doesn’t really come from the McCafe machine(cause I watched which machine dispersed the shake itself the employee just added a few final touches and moved my drink over to another spot for a second or two). My mother was in there before, and the worst problem she had, was that the register-tape didn’t come out by the time she left, so she sent the register tape with my brother who stood there for it(the employee was having problems trying to print the receipt– but it was later solved that it was on McDonalds end that the receipt didn’t want to print).

I have never enjoyed coming to this location of McDonald’s because they are so SLOW there, and the orders are frequently done wrong. I went there with my mother and my wife recently and the staff screwed up our order by not having some of the food on our tray that we had ordered, and then they kept us waiting 14 minutes longer. The fries were then cold and HALFFILLED as usual in the containers. I normally end up having to tell the staff to please put the full amount of fries in the containers, since they have a habit of only putting the fries in half-full. I don’t appreciate the rip-off they always do with that. Two weeks prior, we went through the drive thru and halfway home I noticed they did not put the wrap in the bag that I had paid for. This is sadly another common mistake that is made at McDonald’s where they don’t put all your food in the bag that you pay for. Now we always sit there at the drive-thru to check the bag before driving off. A LOT of people I know are also doing this, since the staff can’t handle the orders properly. It holds up other people in line as well, but blame the staff for screwing up the orders. We’re not getting out of line just to go get on another line to straighten out the screwup. The Albany Ave McDonald’s makes similar mistakes, but not as bad as the Ulster Ave branch. Albany Ave. McDonald’s is a bit faster at least, than the Ulster Ave. restaurant. But a word of advice: CHECKTHEBAG before you leave. You might have half-filled fries and missing food.
